  1. Why wasn’t Bennett listed as one of those players traded for multiple ones? Because he hadn’t played in the league yet?
  2. It is the perfect compliment to a light maiorana di prisco!
  3. Is he asked about it constantly? By whom? Anyway, no, I don’t think it bothers him; I think it motivates him if anything. Yes, he still throws highly interceptable balls. Yes, QBs need to play within themselves and their abilities. And no, short memories are also required. QBs can’t let a bad play, series, or game impact their next play. They have no chance if they do.
  4. I’m not naive about it at all as I know you’re right about the media, etc.. I just couldn’t care less what the media or casual fans use to define a player’s career. All that matters to me is how he gets off the mat and responds to the adversity. So far, so good in that regard. Other players may have been crushed completely after that. He seems to have used it to motivate himself. That’s a nice trait for a QB to possess.
  5. Never live it down in whose mind? Peterman has already let it go; certainly not an albatross as far as he goes. And that’s all that matters. I’m sure he could give two schits if anyone else can’t let it go.
  6. Coleman seems to lack an aptitude for the game.
  7. This will be the philosophy of Daboll's offense. Chunk plays have their place, but they are most effectively set up by a series of chain moving, smaller gains for first downs that keep drives alive and the defense on the field. Chunk plays occur most often when defenses get frustrated and start cheating up on the shorter routes. I also think Daboll will utilize tempo changes very frequently, especially when he gets favorable matchups.
  8. Why is that cliche talk vs. a legitimate concern? No QB has ever been sacked more in a season that Carr was in his rookie season. The beating he took negatively impacted his development moving forward. I would argue that the high number of sacks taken over the course of his first four years ruined any chance he had at establishing himself as the pocket passer he was drafted to be. He was a skittish wreck half the time. And for good reason.
  9. I'd rather see Allen, but Peterman has had an entire year of NFL experience, which is comprised of more than just the games he played. He's had a year of meetings, learning defenses, and breaking down opponents' schemes. That's invaluable. You raise a great point about McCarron as he's very familiar with the Ravens given his experience in Cinci. But, given our sieve-like OL, I think the premium is on that QB that can get the ball out faster than anyone else. Right now, that's Peterman for better or worse.
  10. I don’t think you can have development without trying to win.
  11. I agree we have many holes to fill. None of them more glaring than our lack of an elite edge rusher who can manufacture pressure on his own. We will have to use an early pick to find that guy anyway, assuming he’s even there when it’s our turn to pick in the first place. And even then we’d be drafting a prospect who hasn’t proved anything at the next level, let alone been named All Pro at multiple positions and defensive MVP. Other than on a blue chip QB (which we already have, ostensibly), I can’t think of a better use of “draft capital.”
  12. Still a genius move by the Pats***. That's all you can say.
  13. Um, that's the line that played the first half.
  14. Be nice if your OLine could play 2nd and 3rd team players all year. Think Ducasse sees a little difference between Geno Atkins and whoever his backups are?
  15. Except playing vs. 2nd stringers wasn't a factor. He was more decisive with his keys and hitting his gaps; much quicker to the ball.
  16. Perhaps Edmunds' best series as a pro so far.
  17. Hoping Daboll can scheme around the OL shortcomings. Tall order to be sure.
  18. Shades of Texans and David Carr. We will ruin this kid unless we fix that OL. That simple.
  19. OJ's rookie year against the Colts, his first game in Buffalo. 10 years old doing gopher duties for the press box personnel and not being able to wait to see OJ; the whole city was anticipating his Buffalo debut. The statisticians and scouts in the press box weren't impressed. Everybody came out to see OJ, but everybody left talking about Robert James, the UDFA out of Fisk.
