  1. Bro or manzier?
  2. Saints have major issues in their secondary tonight.
  3. This broadcast crew isn’t much better than Tessitore, Booger, and Witten. Just more stating the obvious with little to no actual insight. Levy is just grating on the ears.
  4. He’s right! Josh was 3 yards short of playing that good of a game.
  5. I’ve never had much respect for PFF as everything they do lacks context and you have to take anything PFF says with a bolder of salt. It’s all subjective and I suspect they aren’t above shoe-horning stats to satisfy a predetermined narrative. I know of two instances where an agent actually cited PFF analyses in contract negotiations and they were laughed out of the GM’s office. Maybe they’ve gotten better since and I honestly don’t know as I pay them no mind, but in just looking at the list posted in the op, I don’t think so. Can you imagine walking into a team’s front office and trying to convince them that Darnold outplayed Josh Allen yesterday?
  6. A testament to how well he’s reading defenses, getting in and out of plays, and finding the open man. Josh has officially arrived. That said, there’s gonna be clunkers along the way and the true mark of a great team is being able to win a game when it’s just not your day. There were several of those back in our SB years.
  7. Yep, only with every MORE product. Didn’t think that was possible.
  8. That hair ain’t moving no matter how windy it is.
  9. My favorite play was the TD pass to Brown late in the 4th. On the previous play there was a clear miscommunication and you could see Josh gesticulating that Brown should have flattened out his route and on the next play he does just that and they score. It’s like Josh got in the huddle and said, “Same thing, on two.” That was the ultimate display of confidence, especially because it came on third and long.
  10. Buffalo two minutes drill - totally screwed by an egregious illegal block call. That ref should be fired.
  11. Hello Fitz Picksix So nice to see you again Time to serve one up
  12. It was as dominant a performance as we’ve seen in a while. The Jets were never a threat in the game on either side of the ball. Like others have said, they were our cat toy.
  13. As long as the reining in is organic. The one thing we can be certain of on EVERY snap Allen takes is that he will compete his balls off until the whistle. Every. Play. I just don’t want a coach to get in his ear to the point where Josh starts losing that edge. The old “no negative plays” mantra has ruined too many QBs.
  14. Well, when I read your statement saying it was “time” the O carried the load after we witnessed them doing exactly that a mere five days ago AND given your natural proclivities to denigrate, it was easy to think that’s what your were suggesting. But yeah, with two of our best D players out of the lineup, I agree there’s a good chance our D won’t be as good, especially against a better QB in Fitz.
  15. Certainly you’re not suggesting the offense didn’t do exactly that vs. the Jets because whenever a team more than doubles the TOP stat, you can rest assured it was the offense that did the heavy lifting in the game.
  16. I haven’t read the entire thread, so if there were people claiming it was a perfect throw, I question their ability to evaluate ball placement. By the same token, I question anyone who would say it was a bad pass. It was a successful play that could have been better and I’ll just leave it at that.
  17. Drury was an “other level” leader on those squads. Him throwing the boom box out of the locker room after a loss is the stuff of legend, imo. It didn’t just bother him to lose, it galled him; ate at his very soul. And he couldn’t tolerate anything less than that by his teammates. I wonder how that kind of leadership would be accepted by today’s player. My hunch is not very well.
  18. For the record, I don’t think it was a bad pass as it was a successful play, regardless. It just wasn’t a better pass and a more successful play. But that misses the point, which is it was ONE FRICKEN PASS out of 46, of which 32 others were successful as well. It’s as nit-picky as it gets, so the topic of nit-picking has now been broached.
  19. Hard to say which is worse; defending one bad pass or nit-picking one bad pass.
  20. Off to the left or off to the right, if that ref was anywhere under the goalpost that meant he was literally buried below the turf and was in no position to see the play. Or anything else for that matter. Christ, I hope they got him out of there!
  21. Bomani? Is he named after a Turkish taffy treat or an antacid powder? Or is it the combination of both?
