Why is Marcel Dareus still a free agent?

Tub. Of. Goo. -
Hmm. Posting by just thinking. Would be a welcomed change from all the posting without thinking that occurs around here.

Yeah, he’s a legit good guy. I don’t know anyone who’s ever said an unkind word about him. One of the greatest compliments I heard came from Jordan Palmer who said Fitz was so hard to compete against for the job in Cincy because he was such a good guy.

Gruden tears into Nate Peterman [language]

That’s a different argument and I agree. I’d be hard pressed to find a worse player, that’s for sure. -

NP isn’t even on the list of spectacular fails by this team. -
It’s obvious that certain media outlets seek to paint all activists, protestors, rioters, other criminal elements with one broad brush in order to delegitimize perfectly legal protest activities. This is done intentionally for cheap political reasons, photo opportunities, etc., and stoking division between people is the goal. There is no legitimate defense of Dilley’s rhetoric. None. He is calling for an armed call to violence.
-
Yes, he used the word “antifa” and the reporter used the word “activist” so I can see your point in that regard. And while I appreciate the clarification, it does little to sway my opinion of his terrorist intent. I also don’t buy the “antifa” narrative that’s been manufactured to stoke fear and tamp down legitimate protests. But that is another subject I have no desire to discuss here with your or anyone else. But if the antifa boogeyman really exists, maybe Dilley can go to their headquarters and make a preemptive strike.

Online threats are taken seriously by law enforcement agencies the world over. The fact the threat was made on social media over the internet doesn’t make it any less serious. Your expertise should have informed you of this fact. Speaking of irony, I find it ironic that those who’ve taken the solemn oath to protect and serve communities and wear the badge that exemplifies that dedication, would condone having armed vigilantes in the streets and killing people. For the record, I’m just as angry about actual violent mob behavior as you or anyone else. But getting back to Dilley, what is violence before it becomes actual?
-
He made a terrorist threat by saying he and countess others are armed and waiting for orders by the president to start taking out activists. He didn’t say rioters. He said activists. I don’t trust these yahoos to be able to distinguish between the two. Had anyone threatened the McCloskeys or their property, they would have been well within their rights to defend themselves. Except nobody set foot on their property and nobody posed a threat to them. As has been the case every other time these overly litigious people have run others off their property, including neighbors. Wouldn’t surprise me at all to learn they did the Rambo thing in the hopes of creating yet more grounds to sue yet more people. It’s what they do.
-
Just saw this. This is a terrorist threat, nothing less. At the very least, I hope he and his ilk are on FBI watch lists. Regardless of what political stripe you wear, activism is what gets things done in this country. For crissakes, you’d think anyone professing to want to make America great again would appreciate that activism is what created this nation to begin with. He threatens me or my loved ones with his 50 cal. “Trump re-election rifle”, he’s gonna get his ass smoked.

Mine is a sophomore in Wooster, OH. Dropped her off last week. The students all signed a letter of conduct that expels them for a second violation of campus containment efforts. The protocols have been stringent. There was testing immediately upon arrival and then quarantine in her dorm room for the two days to get the results. All classes are virtual until 9/7 and then it will be a combination. They’ve brought in tents for as much outdoor instruction as well. Of course, all sports have been cancelled. Masks and social distancing mandatory. If there is a shut down, it won’t be because the school didn’t exercise an abundance of caution. As a parent, that’s all I can ask for. Good luck to yours.

First paragraph is a load of crap. But again, it’s convenient. It’s a shame that Rittenhouse robbed law enforcement of the chance to properly charge his victims with crimes if they had the evidence to do so. No criminal complaint because they’re dead? That’s all I need to know. While you enjoy telling others they don’t have common sense, I submit “Common sense” could also inform you that Rittenhouse had no business being there in the first place, either. “Common sense” might inform others that had Rittenhouse not knowingly broke the law in the first place, none of this would have happened. Funny how “common sense” isn’t always a universal concept. Glad you brought up biased testimony because I submit your own bias clouds every point of view you have in this matter. But yes, we should all wait for the evidence to be collected and the case to be adjudicated. One would think that would suffice for all those rushing to control the narrative. Then again, that’s just common sense, right?
-
They said that Rittenhouse wasn’t chased until after firing shots and that he wasn’t attacked by Huber until AFTER Rittenhouse shot Rosenbaum. But while we are on the subject of proof, where is the proof that Rosenbaum and Huber were out rioting, burning, and destroying property? Or are you just again applying guilt by association. The ONLY hard evidence against any of them, including Rittenhouse, is that they were in violation of curfew. But painting with wide brushes is required to accept the narrative.

Yes I do. And it’s BECAUSE I do that I engage in this debate. A complete 180 from your theory. You don’t own the discussion no matter how frustrating that must be for you. The evidence of the eyewitness testimony reported on earlier today. I’m interested in your answer to the question I posed up thread so I’ll ask again: those Rittenhouse victims who got what they deserved in your opinion, what if they were church going kitten breeders with no prior records? Would your opinion of the situation be any different? If so, why? This strikes me as opinion more than fact. But anyone engaged in violence, looting, destruction of property, etc., should be arrested and charged to the fullest extent. Yes, given how a narrow video frame shapes our view of events, I think it’s far less than the thousands you cite. If you want to refer me to legitimate sources for these statistics, I’d be happy to takeaway look.

I side with the rule of law. Period. The criminal history of any of Rittenhouse’s victims has no bearing on anything in this case at present and the right wing media knows this. But I understand the need to shape that narrative in his defense. Especially in the face of all that damning evidence. If Rittenhouse’s victims were all churchgoing kitten breeders with no criminal records, would that change your opinion on the matter?

The last time we debated, you literally put words in my mouth that I didn’t say because you were so angry while reading what I actually did say. Hard to have any meaningful give and take when that’s the case, so I’m ok with not furthering this discussion. But there’s nothing you could say that would make me go off the deep end; you just don’t have that power. Although you tried by insulting my LEO grandfather and uncles. I’m not surprised in the least that you disagree with my opinion. In the meantime, I look for the character assassination of Rittenhouse’s victims by right wing media sources to ramp up.
