He’s not being charged with murder in the first. At present the charges are first degree intentional homicide, first degree reckless homicide, and attempted first degree homicide. According to witnesses, Anthony Huber attacked Rittenhouser with his skateboard after watching Rittenhouse shoot Joseph Rosenbaum, who also later died from his wounds. One skateboard. One. And used in defense of human life to boot. Some might call that a heroic act, but never those pushing a far right agenda. People with guns? According to witnesses, there was one person with a gun, Gaige Grosskreutz who, again after Rittenhouse shot Rosenbaum and Huber, walked towards Rittenhouse with his arms raised before Rittenhouse shot him in the arm and Grosskreutz ran away. Presumably, these witnesses and facts will be presented at trial. In the meantime, the far right has to work overtime to paint this kid as anything more than the trigger happy trouble maker he appears to be. That includes fostering a false narrative that he was the victim of unprovoked mob violence and was just trying to protect himself while “being chased by people with guns and hitting him over the head with skateboards.”

Gary Anderson was bitter about being drafted by the Bills and deliberately played himself off the team. Lots of players were unhappy with Stew Barber at the time.

Out of hand indeed. I don’t think we can find a situation where an officer resorted to shooting for simple non compliance to a request. That’s the point; simple non compliance is not enough to justify use of deadly force. The only time a LEO should use deadly force is when his life or that of another is in immediate danger. While that’s the case in the vast majority of cases, it isn’t the case in ALL the cases. That is a failure in training, skill, discipline, and leadership from the top. And it hurts good police officers everywhere as a result. That’s a disservice to LEOs and the communities they are sworn to serve and protect. And that needs to be recognized and addressed.

Checking in on Jets: O-Line and WRs STRUGGLING

Darnold may be a better passer at this stage, of but Allen is by far the better QB. Like a lot of people, Mehta conflates the two. -
It’s not about kids getting sick and dying from complications of the SARS-CoV-2 virus or how many more kids die from influenza viruses each year by comparison. It is all about the difference in the R naught (spreadability) of the respective viruses. According to the CDC, this corona virus has an R naught of 5.7 compared to 1.3 for the influenza virus. That is a wildfire compared to a single lit match. While children under 10 are less effective spreaders, children above 10 years of age are just as effective as adults in spreading infection. This makes the issue a hugely complicated one, especially in areas with higher case loads. Stringent safe practice protocols need to be in place and ready to implement on day one. We simply aren’t there yet, both practically and from a resource allocation standpoint.

This was an important moment in his development. Football, all of sports actually, is about how you respond to adversity in the course of a game, season, etc. I guarantee that Allen’s ability to rebound doesn’t go unnoticed by his teammates and serves to help them overcome their own challenges. It’s the embodiment of leadership. Especially in a quarterback.

Plus 20 yard end zones. Gotta love having a first and goal at the 10 and saying, “Go long, Gordy.”

Is QB the most mentally taxing position in sports?

Use whatever single word to describe it, but it’s the most difficult position to play at a consistently high level in all of professional sports. -

This is a lengthy video, but it’s worth it, imo, because we live in an unprecedented era of science denial made worse by lay people who not only deny it but profess to know more with little to no expertise in a given field of study. And given the level of acceptance of conspiratorial thinking nowadays, the problem is compounded. Rational people need to step to the fore and shout these people down at every opportunity. Thanks to Professor Dave for taking the time to shoot holes into these ridiculous, totally unsubstantiated alternate views. -
Thought the TV series theme music that played over the closing credits was a nice tip of the hat.

I hope so, too. I wish Allen was going into his 8th season as an NFL QB like Simms was, though.

That corresponds with a dearth of offensive talent his first couple of years as well. Since then, the OL has been stabilized and the skill positions improved. No reason to think Daboll won’t improve on the stats.
