That’s what is making it horrible. People moving there because they work online and don’t pay state taxes. Same with Las Vegas. No state tax. Never cold. It used to be a great place to live. I found it unbearable over the last 2 years and it’s getting much worse by the month. Warm weather no tax states getting over-infested We moved to St George Ut and life couldn’t be better. I drove to Vegas on Thursday to watch the draft with the boys. Once I hit the outskirts of LV on the 15, dead stop of traffic at 1:15pm. Took me 70 minutes to get a location 10 minutes away. My buddy is a limo driver for Aria and is looking for a new job because he only gets 3-4 runs a day now, when he used to get 8-12. Stuck in traffic all day. -
New Bill - former Lion Quintez Cephus signed (Update: Now released)

I agree that his investment hasn’t panned out to date. Partly due to the players he signed. Partly due to injury. His 2 biggest investments in 2022 missed the playoff loss to Cinci. Both were injured the following year. Leonard floyd was a great signing….until he disappeared. And we were 4th in sacks. I also agree that he should’ve invested more into WR. No doubt about it. I just don’t question his motives to make DL the number one investment. It matters more than anything else besides QB. I stand by that. edit- but his clear misses and injury on the DL have hurt us. -

Which good GMs don’t believe in building the DL? do you think WR is more important than DL in terms of winning championships? QB > DL > OL that isn’t bad > WR imo. Beanes biggest problem, imo, isn’t choosing to build his team from the DL out, it’s his choices of who he invested in. Some years he invested in poor players. Some years he invested in good players that disappeared in the playoffs. And then there’s Von. A guy that was performing at a very high level until injury made him irrelevant both playoff runs he was in the team. edit- yes, I agree that he should’ve invest more in the WR position than he has. I just don’t see a problem investing in the DL. He just needed to do a better job at it. Without a good DL, you aren’t sniffing a SB. -

You’ve outdone yourself with this ridiculous statement. so which best GM in the league should we hire? Do tell. Maybe we can offer the ravens and chiefs some wings for life if they allow us to hire Eric Decosta or Brett Veach? Maybe Howie Roseman is available? The greatest dynasty in nfl history didn’t even have a top 10 GM. Is Jason Licht a top 5 GM? He beat them. The Bengals don’t even have a GM. They beat them. With the team Beane has put together, over the last 3 years, we just have to avoid major injury, game plan properly and execute. The 2020 team wasn’t good enough, but I think we were the last 3 years. Injuries, game planning and execution (or lack thereof) eventually led to our seasons ending. Not Brandon Beane. If you want to put losing (in the playoffs) on anyone, I’d put it on McD over Beane JMO. -

Do we agree that the team they’ve lost to for 3 of the last 4 years is going to go down as a dynasty with one of the best quintets in NFL history in Mahomes, Kelce, Jones, Reid and Spags? We were an executed play/‘s away in 2 of those season enders. It’s his job to find a way….but the same can be said for the players. Injuries, execution and play calls all play a huge factor in why his roster didn’t beat a dynasty -
So was Antonio Brown and so is Jefferson, Adams, Chase and many others over the year. Moss and Julio are candidates for top 5 all time. You don’t have to be THAT to be WR1
-
Yeah, Kincaid is a ways off, but so was Kelce during his rookie year. Dude didn’t even play. I doubt he’ll be Kelce but I believe he can be the best TE in the league very soon. I hear ya regarding the 2nd paragraph. I’d just take an elite pass rusher over an elite WR all day every day. On this team especially. I don’t think WR1 is this teams biggest need. Elite pass rusher is. A absolute game wrecker that makes hall of fame plays in the biggest moments. What upsets me most is….we had that. Until thanksgiving 2022. Von was a force with the game on the line. A true PTPer. He was our Chris Jones. And now we don’t one. We had a true alpha dog elite WR1 and it worked against us. Maybe that’s on the coaching. Maybe it’s on Josh. Or Diggs. Most likely a combination of all 3. But for whatever reason, our alpha dog elite WR1 was nowhere to be found in our biggest games
-
I’ll call him “Shooter”. Thanks to his press conference
-
Maybe it’s kincaids turn to be that elite TE. If not this season, soon. If the defense stays healthy and von doesn’t stink, we just need to execute. if not this year, then next. We aren’t ever going to go all in. Last year was the closest we’ll ever see imo
-
How many elite WRs did Brady win super bowls with? Mahomes the last 2 seasons? The eagles? I just don’t think elite WRs have any correlation with winning super bowls. Great QB play+ coaching and defense I agree. I was hoping the same. I just don’t think trading Diggs was in his original plan this offseason. When free agency started, I think Diggs was in his plans. Then the tweet happened. Final straw- jmo.
-
Yeah….elite players help….as I said
-
Or would a great run game with dual TEs help out QB more? 🤷🏻♂️ after watching KC win 2 SBs back to back with below average WRs, I don’t know what’s best for an elite QB. There are a handful of teams good enough to win the SB every year. It all comes down to being relatively healthy and executing a good game plan. It’s not a science. We had Diggs for 3 elite seasons prior to this year. All same results in the playoff losses. He was beyond irrelevant

Fact vs Fiction: "Keon Coleman is not a separator"
NewEra replied to ShakAttack's topic in The Stadium Wall
Good post. I was thinking the same thing. He ran a ton of go routes that require you to have the explosiveness to get over the top. He doesn’t have that explosiveness. Hence, he could never get separation on them. I didn’t like the way FSU deployed him and I think that had an impact on how he’s viewed. -
I mean, your chance of success increases for every elite player you have. More so on the defensive line than split out wide. I don’t think our WR unit is average either. I think it’ll be better than KCs last year. I think our RB room will be better than theirs. I think our TE room can be similar as well as our OL. we just need the coaching and to execute the plays that are called. Having a star WR1 didn’t do much for us in the playoffs 4 years in a row. I think we can win with what we have as long as the defense doesn’t take a major step back and stays healthy
-
Good luck with that. Anything can happen….but that’s not happening imo. Seems to me they’re going to roll with what they got plus maybe a 2nd 3rd tier FA if one happens to come available and take less money than they thought. Bottom line- it doesn’t matter if our WR group is better than last years as long as our TE group is better, our RB group is better and our OL is at least as good. Not to mention our coaches. I think there’s too much infatuation with WRs in this fan base. They matter, don’t get me wrong….but let’s not act like having an elite War unit is needed to win a SB.
-
For sure. Doesn’t look like he was trying to add a power back like many were thinking. Looks to me like we drafted James Cooks eventual replacement. Can’t pay RBs big bucks! He’s a helluva receiver too. Cook needs to start catching the ball in the end zone

Might be right, but one could also say that he signed John brown, Beasley, traded for Diggs, signed Harty, drafted shakir and signed samuel. 🤷🏻♂️ doesn’t seem that unbalanced to me I agree -

As they did Diggs, Beasley John brown, gabe Davis in rd 4 and Shakir in rd 5 -
I agree that we don’t need a true elite WR if we have 5-6 good playmakers. Spread it out. Makes it tougher to scheme against and you don’t have to worry about a diva wrecking the locker room not saying I don’t want one. I do. I just don’t think it’s needed to win a SB

Or it just shows how our FO valued the WRs available vs the players that we drafted. -
You think all the GMs know how everyone feels about the other prospects? Might be true but if this is the case, I would think, in a multi billion dollar industry, that GMs would be a little more discreet considering the drafts are their livelihood. you guys enjoy, but knowing which players will be available in each round makes this MUCH different exercise than what the GMs are doing. 💯
