  1. Yeah we do——- partly because we’ve been missing our best players. How many teams are winning super bowls after missing several of their best players? Who were the chiefs missing last season? How about the year before or their 19 team? Then compare those injured players to the Bills injured players. Last years team was especially beaten up after the Steelers playoff game
  2. I think he’s a niche player. He can make plays downfield and he can run block. His size and strength can create mismatches vs certain players. It’s on Brady and Allen to find those mismatches. I don’t think he’s a great player by any means- but I think he’s a better WR5-6 than we’ve had in awhile.
  3. That’s fair- I also think it’s also important to make the distinction between healthy and not healthy.
  4. The 92 dream team-but they don’t really count imo- 80’s oilers 70’s Steeler’s but Bradshaw brings them down some 89 niners. 27 and 98 yankees 16-17 warriors i don’t care about euro sports so they’re excluded from my list. i don’t really consider college teams because the majority of the players don’t become great pros-
  5. Gary Carter is in the HoF- keith Hernandez was a stud for a guy that didn’t have any pop but I wouldn’t consider them in this conversation
  6. I think amazing that they even won one with that dbag bum head coach.
  7. Great post. Unless you’re a McDermott hater
  8. I can’t answer for him, but we slowed them down in december. Forced 4 punts and 2 turnovers. So maybe they why
  9. Poor choice of words on my part. Wishful thinking should have been substituted as hopeful. I think he has a chance.
  10. Saw the stats and immediately thought of Stefon Diggs’ last 3 postseasons
  11. Knowing their cap sitch and Douglas’ age, I think Beane might be hoping that Elam can take a step and become the starter opposite Benford following season. Wishful thinking but not out of the question imo. I loved the trade for Douglas and was hoping he’d be extended but he’s approaching that age where it’s a little risky.
  12. But Tavon austin, Harty and Sherfield!! 😂
  13. The mock aggregators had him as the 4th best WR across all the platforms they used. Yet you listed him as the 5th-8th WR. Nonsense. Howie got the team to the Super Bowl….and lost. If they drafted Jefferson and used the 1st rd pick they traded for Brown plus the salary they paid him on two different players maybe they WIN the Super Bowl instead of accomplishing nothing. Last I knew, making the Super Bowl means NOTHING. i never said a mock described JJ as a first ballot HoFer. Not even sure where you come up with this stuff half the time. It’s as if you think you’re so smart that you can just throw 💩 at the wall and hope that it sticks. It’s doesn’t. It just stinks.
  14. SuperCatcher for me! 😂
  15. Here’s where you cherry pick a general number (ranked 5-8th ranked WR) and make it the basis of your post. This info is available if you Google- he was the consensus WR4……yet you say he was ranked WR5-8……..LOL. You didn’t even include WR4…..you pushed it to 5. Typical you https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/big-boards/2020/consensus-big-board-2020?pos=WR And at worst, the bills could’ve had Jaelon Reagor or Denzel Mims. When you bypass a first ballot HoF WR for a complete bum, it’s a major blunder- regardless of record. Then they had to use 2 first rd picks and hefty contracts to replace their blunder. Your stance- Roseman didn’t make a major blunder when drafting Jaelon Reagor over Justin Jefferson- got it. Do you.
  16. Yes, we do need it. imo, the pass rush will make or break our season. Will AJ and Rousseau take another step? Will Von be an impactful pass rusher or what we saw last season? Will Ed continue to improve and will Carter provide help on the interior? Will Bobby Babich be able to manufacture pressure on key plays? Can Javon Solomon become a part of this DE rotation and be a Diamond in the rough a la Christian Benford?
  17. Most thought Jefferson would be off the board. If not for all world GM Howie Rosemans blunder, he wouldn’t have been. What a debacle Howie.
  18. Of course….. Easy answer. No question. If McGovern is our starting C this season, I’d rather have SVPG backing him up. We’re talking about a guy that signed for 1.2M, 250k gtd. Those guys don’t get traded for 4th rd picks at this stage of the offseason imo. Nice contribution. Here for one reason
  19. Seems like the consensus best 6 at the moment
  20. Execute better. Game plan better. Stay healthier. Partially on coaching. Partially on players. Partially on injuries. We’re close. Just have to be better when it counts. Including 17. He’s been great in one season ending loss (13 seconds). He was pretty good last year. Poor vs Cinci. Below average vs KC in the AFCCG. We need better from more than just coaching
  21. This thread off to the same start as every other thread- sadness brigade McDermott sucks- we get it. Maybe you should start a mcdermott sucks thread and keep all the same regurgitated material there so we don’t have to read it in every other thread.
  22. Part 1- that’s not the only argument. Price tag is the argument. The only argument. Part 2- tread has nothing to do with it- years left on the rookie contract is the only factor- money- I get you’re probably a UGA fan and are hoping to keep him. I love James Cook and think he could be special - I just don’t think paying a hefty RB contract is part of Beanes plan. If he’ll settle for 6-7M- maybe. We’ll see where the RB market is in two years .
  23. Hence why trade deadline makes sense if he’s playing well Obv if he’s hurt or not playing well, no one will trade for him but if he is a difference maker, you pay half the salary and give up a late round. He was coming off back to back 10+ sack seasons before he got hurt (and came back) last season. It’s definitely a risk considering his age but a good Cam Hayward could be a difference maker for a team lacking pass rush. Something that we might be lacking. I obviously think very highly of Hayward. Maybe higher than most.
  24. Yeah he’s an interesting one. Other than missing a good portion of last season, he’s beepretty durable in recent seasons and is a game wrecker when he’s playing well. Does he still have the ability to wreck games or is age taking over? how much money does he want and what will it take for Pittsburgh to deal him. The only way I could see it happening is in a trade deadline deal that involved a late round pick without hopes of resigning him long term. That said, I would think there would be at least one other team that has bigger plans for him.
