  1. Well, our own front office and coaching staff looked pretty damn terrible/pathetic at this time last year, so I'm not going to pass judgment on any of the other rebuilds just yet.
  2. I think the Ravens and Chiefs are both winning their divisions, so that game really doesn't mean much as far as our playoff chances go. I think the Texans are winning the South, so I'd like to see them knock off the Chargers, who should definitely be a competitor for a Wildcard.
  3. I'm a UCLA guy and I'll be the first to admit that Rosen doesn't come across as particularly likeable. I do think he has great arm talent, but he just isn't a leader on the field or in the locker room by all accounts. And he throws some truly baffling balls under pressure. Just completely chokes when there's a free rusher coming his way. Still, the guy has been stuck in three truly horrendous situations in a row. The UCLA program was crumbling under Mora when he stepped in and he still managed to compile a winning record when he wasn't injured (see UCLA now without Rosen). AZ was a complete mess and now Miami is even worse. I wouldn't be shocked if he had enough of football after this year is through.
  4. Miami is horrible, but their defense actually hung tough against the Pats until well into the 3rd quarter. So, it doesn't appear as if they've completely quit yet. Not sure I feel comfortable betting a 21 point favorite in any NFL game.
  5. Not terrible, but they were way overrated entering the season. I thought they were a 7-9 type of team coming in.
  6. Yeah, Brissett is a good young QB that should be in the middle of the AFC pack. He's put up 5 TD/1 Int and a 107 QB rating through two weeks against two very solid defenses in TN and the Chargers.
  7. Exactly! Anticipating and bracing for disaster is no way to live your life...unless you're a lawyer.
  8. This honestly feels a ton like 1988. Veteran defense carrying us to victories. Young, dynamic, confident QB and rookie running back, who are flashing tons of promise, but who haven't quite completely hit their stride.
  9. Narcissists can be extraordinarily charming and self-effacing upon initially meeting them. It's easy to be fooled by them. Plus, there is the hope/promise of a potentially lucrative partnership. The guy does have deep pockets and the capability of paying these people for their services. And I'm sure some of these people just didn't have any better professional alternatives at the time.
  10. Lamar, Baker, Allen . . Darnold . . . . . . Rudolph . . . . . . Rosen And I'll go on record as someone who definitely wanted Rosen over Allen.
  11. Yeah, he's a scumbag, but nothing really new there or above-and-beyond what we've already seen or heard about the man. Sounds a lot like most of the other powerful narcissists we've seen in the public eye over the past few years. "People" are disposable objects and the rules simply do not apply to them. Rules are for suckers and schlubs like you and me.
  12. Wentz Shmentz. I really don't care to compare Allen to any other QB. He's a God dang stud and he's our guy. Our long cold winter is over. We have finally found the true successor to Jim Kelly and his name is Josh "F'ing" Allen.
  13. Allen is a young Qb who had played an outstanding half. Take the knee and guarantee he goes into the locker room with a two touchdown lead and a ton of confidence. I have no problem with McDermott's decision there.
  14. Haha. That's what I was honestly thinking. I was like "Why isn't McDermott taking the 5 yards and extra second?". Then I was like, "Probably wants to be certain the punter can reach the end zone."
  15. I think Brown, like Incognito, is nuts and a meltdown could occur literally any second. He may last the entire season, but I'd say it's a 50/50 proposition at best. Same thing with Josh Gordon and his drug problems. I do hope Gordon makes it and stays clean, even if that makes the Patriots better.
  16. No. He's insanely overrated and the Chargers don't even miss him.
  17. Wow. Great second half from our guys. This was a hugely important win. Guaranteed of no worse than 3-3 in the division, and looking like a real good shot to finish with a minimum of 4 divisional wins.
  18. He absolutely sounds cynical and disappointed in the post game.
  19. This would undoubtedly be the greatest collection of receiver talent in NFL history... if it were six years ago. Brown, Gordon and Thomas combined for 300 catches and 4600 yards in 2013.
  20. I was at the Jets game as a 9 year old in '88. Great moment that I will never ever forget.
  21. Ummm…it's just a football game.
  22. I can't believe Barkley was just sitting on his couch for us to poach. He's a guy who can legitimately start and win games in this league.
  23. He is the primary backup to Philip Rivers in Los Angeles.
  24. I was shooting the breeze with a random Latino dude at a bar in San Diego on Friday and night and when I mentioned I was from Buffalo, he immediately said "Your boy Josh Allen is sick! Bills are gonna tear it up this year!" I was honestly shocked that anyone in San Diego knew who Allen was.
