  1. I don’t recall anyone in the NFL who was so talented while simultaneously so selfish and lacking in awareness. I’m sure there are, but this clown takes the cake.
  2. The Athletic has an interesting article on him: ”The reality is that Benjamin was largely misunderstood. His body language wasn’t perfect, and he undoubtedly rubbed some people in the building the wrong way, but he had his supporters, too. It’s believed one of Benjamin’s problems was that he was pressing too much. This was a contract year for Benjamin, and every drop was eating him up. He hinted at that when he said this season was the worst of his entire football career and that he was looking forward to a fresh start.” i believe it’s important to recognize that we have a sliver of the story, at best, when trashing these guys. I get it’s a message board but...
  3. I thought this was a great write up and shows both Josh’s flaws and where he has excelled. Also does a great job of explaining the low completion percentage. It would be nice if Josh could settle in enough to understand that moving the chains every couple of plays is as exciting as the chunk plays. Game management.
  4. If you extrapolate the progress he has made so far, I am highly optimistic. I believe we have, finally, an answer at QB. Will he lead us to a SB and earn MVP honors? I have no clue but I love what he’s done this year physically and how he Is managing the mental aspects of the game (trash talking, holding his tongue, taking ownership, etc). Behind an actual line with actual receivers and a complementary run game, I fully expect this kid to do special things.
  5. I certainly hope they do. Since so much of his career was not as an every down player, it stands to reason that he could ‘safely’ play another year or two...or until they mutually agree have him retire. I’d loathe seeing him in another teams uni.
  6. That was an intensely challenging play after spinning twice and being chased by three very large and strong men intent on slamming him. In in my opinion, it was Clay’s job to adjust. Allen held up his end of the bargain. Can things be better? When can’t they? But that was a good enough pass to catch. Thank you for your write-up.
  7. Yet another statement move that was correct, in my opinion. You cannot allow play like he has put on display to go on. Coach accordingly and if he still ignores it’s time to part ways. Good move by the organization. Him quitting was unforeseeable.
  8. Kiko is a decent backer and could not contain him.
  9. The ‘fins tried by putting a spy on him (Kiko) and failed. You can can assign another person but then you face his arm. You pick. ? Good dual threat QB’s are challenging to defend against.
  10. He will be fine, regardless of how he does this game. He is running behind an inferior line and has a limited passing attack. With inproved line line and skilled position players next year, he’ll be his old self.
  11. Anyone who has been through a business turnaround knows how painful they are. This year is a perfect example, particularly with all of the youth on the field. This leadership team has shown a willingness to do what must be done to correct for the future good and I, for one, am all for it. While I completely understand the desire to ‘win now’, I also appreciate, even more, the need to do it ‘right’ so the dividends can last...and the youth movement can continue. Thus far, I trust the process.
  12. Pretty sure it’s important to remember the authors audience: mostly non-Bills fans who simply look at the stats. His throwing stats were, in fact, poor, but also didn’t paint the entire story. In my opinion, Josh has made great strides this year. He is a great piece of clay to work with.
  13. A good article. Shady has matured since he’s been here as well and that is helpful. He’s come a long way since the woman-only party he threw when he arrived. My only hope? Just HIT the damn hole and stop going backwards!!!! ?
  14. I tend to defer to experts in this arena and, from what I’ve read, he is doing all that can possibly be done with this deck of cards. When broken down (on multiple sites but my go-to is The Athletic), you can see how he has tried to build around what he has and how he is molding the clay, so to speak. I am firmly in the camp that he deserves another year.
  15. The next five weeks will be interesting but the real fireworks begin next draft. It’ll be a fun offseason. ?
  16. Yes, I did. Just seemed as though the meat of your post was the fact that his gesture wasn’t a big deal. Apologies if I took it incorrectly.
  17. I don’t understand how this becomes a ‘no big deal’ thing. It’s speaks volumes to his class and commitment to community.
  18. This is class. There was quite a bit of mockery regarding McD bringing in ‘choir boys’. I see him, with this as an example, bringing in quality young men with actual character AND football skills and I, for one, am all for it. Kudos to Foster for spreading the wealth.
  19. Just out of curiosity, is there any thought that go into these OP’s? Not just this one, I’m speaking generally. This board has become very unwieldy.
  20. He looked like a bullet when he closed on that ball. A sight to see!
  21. He was great until he got the huge deal. That’s my point: you can’t give this guy a huge deal, he has to be in constant ‘prove it’ mode else he’ll slack.
  22. Look at Milano last year versus this year (in terms of strength) and now imagine Tremaine after a couple years in a pro strength training program. He will be an absolute beast.
  23. He would have to be on consecutive ‘prove it deals’ based on his history.
