  1. The run game is missing for the same reason Josh gets hit and hurried all the time. Need an O line and everything else will take care of itself.
  2. I’m no expert, but I think the O line should block the other team.
  3. It’s very Favre and Kelly-esque. All three believe they can make ANY throw. I respect it.
  4. I never route for a person to lose their job, but Crossman is not cutting it.
  5. I agree but this team is extremely young and there is no assurance many of them will be anything more than depth.
  6. That was atypical compared to most of his runs. Didn’t have a chance that play.
  7. You should have seen the 70’s and prior! ? This segment was highlighted in the Will Smith movie, ‘Concussion’. Really atrocious, in my opinion, but it was the game was played then and prior.
  8. Generally speaking, given the number of holes on this team, benefit would be had by trading down. With that being said, if there is a blue chip player at the draft position, you take him.
  9. I believe there’s a bunch to gain from releasing non-contributors. Particularly overpaid non-contributors. The guy is a wonderful family man but is a mid to lower tier TE, unfortunately for us all.
  10. What distance are most of his passes that are incomplete? If you’re going to look at stats alone, it’s important to look at them all, in my opinion.
  11. Hi Ryan. Rational thought and reality aren’t really big on this board. Unless they’re producing and winning NOW, everyone should be fired is the general consensus. Forward thinking isn’t really popular here. Thank you for responding and discussing: it’s a commendable move.
  12. So no pass catchers at all? As I mentioned previously, almost all HOF WR’s took 3-5 years to develop. One must look at reality.
  13. This is true but the way to get off their radar is to shut up and let his play be his voice. Until that happens, they will continue to punish him, right or wrong.
  14. I believe, as has been said in a number of articles, that the checkdowns are there, he simply doesn’t take them: he wants chunk yardage. It would be nice if he were to start utilizing them. He is far too valuable to consistently run.
  15. I see men playing the game of football. While that is still done, the ridiculous penalties, questioning what a ‘catch’ is, not allowing a QB to be really touched, etc the game has declined. I still love it (with guilt) and am glad they are working to protect the players, but some aspects have pushed the envelope. Boy, those were fun years for Bills football! I believe we’ll see them again soon! I watched this one from home. ?
  16. Watched it at home and had to keep turning the TV back on as my older brother had had ENOUGH! ?
  17. Without being in the locker room or knowing any players, I would suspect he is one of the leaders. It goes with the QB position by default. Add in the amount of O he’s produced since returning from injury and I think his credibility as a leader is rising accordingly.
  18. Here’s what I thought was interesting from that article: ” I learned the hard way that the Mike Krzyzewski, Tom Izzo approach of wearing down referees with the expectation of getting a call late in the game doesn’t apply to NFL officials. I teetered on the edge through college and the first part of my NFL career. I was known as a hothead, and I thought that’s what gave me an advantage. I played so mad. I wanted to tell everybody off — in practice even. I wanted to tell the defense what I thought at all times, whether that caused a fight or not. That kind of attitude bled into how I treated officials. I was so hypercompetitive and wanted to win so badly that when a call didn’t go our way, I rode the refs. When I was on the sideline and our defense was on the field, I was chirping the officials: “That’s a hold! That receiver picked the safety!” All with colorful language. So I found myself feeling rather targeted by 2013. I had four games that year in which I was penalized multiple times. I asked myself why I was being singled out in a league when you can call holding on almost every single play. Our blocking scheme at the time was inside zone. I was at the point of attack on nearly every run. Yes, I would have more holding calls than a center in a wide-zone scheme, but I was getting them at a high rate. That year, I distinctly recall getting flagged for holding twice against the Baltimore Ravens. The first wiped out a fourth-and-1 conversion ran 13 yards to the Ravens’ 15-yard line. Instead, we didn’t even kick the field goal. On fourth-and-11 from the 38-yard line, Doug Marrone chose to punt. The second hold wiped out a 10-yard Tashard Choice run. We won the game, thank goodness, but I was livid with the officials. I didn’t think either of them was justified. My tune toward the officials changed that offseason after doing a comprehensive review of my game and figuring out the player and leader I wanted to be going forward. I was overly nice to the officials to see if it would change things up, and I got a whole lot fewer holding calls from then on. My blocking style wasn’t that much different.”
  19. I was, thankfully, at home on the couch. Haven’t gone to any December games since the SB years. It’s not for a lack of love of the Bills, just aging and only wanting to sit through that when my (very loud) cheers will matter. ?. It’ll be soon!!!
