How anyone can argue that it wasn’t an unnecessary and dangerous play by Rapp is beyond me. It was. But I think football players are just wired differently and Rapp wasn’t worried about what the score was or how much time was left in the game…he was focused on playing his position aggressively and just crossed the line. I wouldn’t have a problem with Rapp apologizing to Adams because I’m sure he wasn’t trying to injure him.

Come back to what level exactly? He’s a 2nd year player making his 4th start.

Mike White played at South Florida and Western Kentucky. Sam Howell played in a power conference and set records at his school (UNC). Yeah, they're not at all similar.

Unless something crazy happens in W3 the Bills will not be underdogs against Miami (in Buffalo) in W4. I’m guessing the line will be somewhere around -4 or -5.

Reader's Digest names Buffalo the "nicest place in America"
eball replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
I know, right? Having grown up in Buffalo (Williamsville, E. Amherst), then moving away for my dad’s job, then coming back to attend law school, then leaving again to find my career, I will say that Buffalo people are “different.” It has been fun to connect with other ex-pats in the cities in which I’ve lived since leaving — there is an instant connection and friendship comes easily. I always tell people who have never been to Buffalo that it’s a great place to live for 9 months out of the year — May through January — which encompasses the wonderful late spring, summer, fall, and football season. You can keep February, March, and April unless you’re able to vacation for a good chunk of that — the weather is just so depressing. I’ve taken friends up to see football games and without exception they have commented on the people they’ve interacted with. It’s different. -
Don’t underestimate Sam Howell. Most of you probably have no recollection that after his sophomore year at UNC he was a very highly touted NFL prospect. He set a UNC freshman record with 38 TDs and followed it up with 30 the next season. He returned to school for his junior year and the Heels had a horrid offensive line; he was running for his life most of the time. His draft stock suffered significantly as a result. He’s not huge (6’1”) but his arm is plenty strong, and he’s a true “dawg.” He had over 800 yards rushing his junior season. My point is simply that this is no “journeyman” QB or typical 5th round pick.

I think the post title needs to be edited...it appears it was a Dolphins fan who died -- but he lived in NH. -
To All You Dorsey/McD Haters What Say You Now ?
eball replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t think anyone should be taking any victory laps yet, but Dorsey’s game plans thus far have shown a willingness to adapt and give Josh the “easy” plays we’ve been asking for. McD has also broken some trends with his playing of rookies and his aggressiveness. Let’s hope it continues. -

Another reason I’m glad the new stadium will price *some* idiots out of attending. -
It's Early of Course but the Schedule Now Looks a Lot Easier
eball replied to jethro_tull's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s deep-seated. Those of us who grew up watching the Bills in the 70s will never forget. But this year it’s the media hype and their video game offense that has everyone all abuzz. They’ve played the underachieving Chargers and pop-gun offense Pats*** and squeaked out two wins. Their defense is anything but special, and I trust McD to scheme for that offense with the depth the Bills have in the secondary. I agree with those who say the Fish are our biggest competition in the East…but I still think the Bills will clinch the division before the last game of the season in Miami. -
Man, I already love the way YTTV does the Ticket so much more than DirecTV with ONE major exception…I really liked Andrew Siciliano’s RZ and I can’t stand the dude who does the “standard” RZ channel. I almost have to mute it — he’s that bad. That said, I had to start watching the Bills late because of another commitment and the “watch key plays to catch up to live” feature is outstanding! As noted last week, the tremendous variety of “multiview” options for each game is also a game-changer and crushes DirecTV’s old 8-game or 4-game window with no ability to individualize. Google got this one right.

Late head shot on Davante Adams.

What is this place, Weight Watchers? I’ve never seen a group of football fans so worried about a player’s size in my life.

LOL at anyone worried about a “disaster” after the Raiders’ first drive. Have any of you ever watched a football game before?

Nailed it. Better than I even expected. Great bounce back game for the team.

Week 2, Rayduhs v. Bills - Predict the Score
eball replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
A TD+ win feels right in this one. Josh gets his head on straight and takes what the defense gives him, and Cook has a big day. No turnovers in a 27-17 win. -
I was literally and figuratively shocked at how Josh fell apart in the 2nd half Monday night. It was completely unexpected, and I’m trying to wrap my head around whether Josh “gets it” that he needs to keep himself focused and on script when playing top defenses. He says all the right things but he has to show it on the field. I’m going to predict right now that Josh has a huge bounce-back game. No turnovers and something like 70% completion rate. I also think the ground game is going to show up big time. What say you all?

Unforced Error/OLine Pass Pro Grades - Week 1 - Jets - All 22 Review
eball replied to Bocephuz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I hate to be "that guy" but based upon what we saw Monday night I agree. Kyle would have stayed on script. -
Two of Josh's TOs were on back-to-back plays in the 4th quarter. He doesn't make just ONE of those and the Bills win.
-
I hope that when they are watching film they aren’t just coddling Josh and saying, “we can do this better” — I hope someone is in his face saying “what the (bleep) were you thinking Josh?” He needs to understand that saying he just wants to win and he loves his teammates only goes so far if his actions on the field show he is just a selfish hero wannabe. And I really can’t believe I am even writing that — would have never thought I’d see a performance like Monday night from him.
