What I notice most when I re-watch games from this era is how basically clueless the referees were most of the time. It seemed as though the only thing they were concerned about was where to spot the ball. There was after-the-whistle nonsense constantly, late hits, and it is clear as day the NFL didn’t give a damn about players’ health or safety. I don’t like a lot of penalty flags but I think the games today are more entertaining.

Haven’t been posting in here recently…will try to be more active. Had a great day yesterday with a lot of big dogs. Today I like the Ravens, Falcons, and Lions…the overs in SEA/CIN and DAL/LAC and the under in PHI/NYJ. Good luck everyone and go Bills!

Penalties are always a lame excuse. They gave up a 97-yard TD pass. I like what Deion brings to college football but his team is clearly undisciplined.

I have come to believe that this is some sort of AI experimental account. The writing is so immature and scattered. And why type out “Buffalo Bills” in full so many times? We know what team we’re talking about. Just weird.

When we scored there were — 13 seconds — left on the clock. Normal kickoff, return took 6 seconds. Sigh.

I’m in London wearing a Bills hat and for some reason tons of people are saying “Go Bills” — it’s amazing.

Been in town for about 29 hours now and there are Bills fans everywhere. So cool to see. Edit: if you have time to do the Churchill War Rooms tour it’s a must-do. Unbelievable what that time must have been like.

They were favored in that Super Bowl. They have been favored in all five AFCCGs in their stadium.

They were blessed with favorable regular season schedules and a crappy division that made it easy for them to claim the #1 seed and a bye. They also lost two of those AFCCGs at home and were obliterated in one of the Super Bowls.

Yeah…no. But you “realists” will never enjoy it regardless.

And yet some will use this as some kind of indictment against McDermott because he "hasn't won anything." As I stated in another thread...only one team wins it all each year, and there is an extraordinary amount of good fortune necessary to go along with an excellent team. I will go to my grave believing Heath Farwell and Leslie Frazier cost the Bills a shot at a ring two years ago, and a ridiculous flurry of unforeseen circumstances derailed last year's squad. But they are a juggernaut, make no mistake. Some of us predicted this three years ago (ahem). McD is rejuvenated, he loves running this defense, and the players love it. Watch out, NFL. Go Bills! 19 and 1, babyyyyyyyyy!!!

With respect to the NFL I disagree. The “overlooking an opponent” stuff doesn’t happen in professional sports. Teams lose focus and have “bad games” for all sorts of reasons, but the bottom line is that — at least in professional sports — there is really no such thing as a “trap game.” The players on both sides know that the line between very good and very bad is razor thin, and if they don’t respect their opponents they will get their asses kicked.

It’s really a very simple concept called “the better team usually wins.” Are there upsets? Of course, but history tells us it’s not because one team “overlooked” the other team or “let their guard down” because they were thinking about the following week’s opponent. Amazing that people still can’t grasp this.

Just like the delusional hate for McD, and Gabe Davis, and Ed Oliver, and [etc., etc., etc.]. A large part of the fan base has forgotten how to simply enjoy football and root for an excellent team. I don’t know what is wrong with these people. Only one team wins the Super Bowl each year. The fact that for the foreseeable future we are one of the teams in that conversation should be something every Bills fan relishes and celebrates. But they don’t. I get it that people like to analyze and critique the game and have their own perspective…but none of us can control one damn thing. To each his (or her) own. I’m enjoying the hell out of this run. You think the Brits care that they’ve played there? What is exciting about the Jags? The Bills have huge star power and the fans will travel.
