Bernard, Torrence and Benford all officially starters
eball replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Anyone else of the opinion that perhaps Benford was just severely overlooked and under-drafted coming from a school like Villanova? I'm more impressed with Benford than I am disappointed in Elam. I still think Elam is going to play a bunch this year. Best news is that Dodson is on the bench. That dude sucks. Finally some interior OL depth also, with Bates and Edwards. I just hope Bernard doesn't shite himself Monday night. Kirksey needs to get ready fast. -
Dude, literally everything you post is a deliberate attempt to inflame Bills fans. Are you that miserable a person? Go somewhere else! Friggin’ troll. 🧌

Well, that’s one way to blow up any chance of rehabilitating your reputation. What a friggin’ troll.

First of all, RIP to that young man. Way, way too young. Second, I agree with you. Marrone just ruined him. EJ’s psyche needed a coach like Sean Payton or Andy Reid, and he got a douchebag instead. That’s not an excuse for EJ, but it is an explanation. Different guys need different buttons pushed to reach their potential. The Bills failed EJ, and EJ didn’t have the mental makeup to overcome it.

Love the Manningcast. Have to decide whether I’ll watch it during the Bills games or just record and watch later.

And by the same token, some (intentionally or not) go completely the other way and prepare themselves for disappointment by predicting that less happy outcome. There is nothing wrong with being optimistic about something over which you have absolutely no control. And it sure as hell beats the alternative.

He’s the biggest “bro” on the board. All about the testosterone, machismo, and bragging about the women he has bagged. 😂

My rationale has logic and reason behind it. It’s not some pipe dream. People need to wake up and understand that other teams fear playing the Bills more than we fear playing them.
-
It doesn't make sense to me right now, for several reasons: 1 -- I expect McD to be a lot more aggressive than Leslie was. 2 -- Dorsey has had all offseason to work on a short passing game to get the ball out of Josh's hands quickly, and he now has the tools to do so. 3 -- We significantly upgraded LG and Torrence "looked the part" at RG during preseason. I believe the Bills will go into this game with a specific, structured plan to offset the Jests' DL strength. I trust Dorsey more than I trust Hackett on the other sideline, and the truth is that this Jests' offense really hasn't faced "live ammo" yet. Don't forget that the sharp Vegas money is on Buffalo as a favorite in this game. Just because we're Bills fans doesn't mean we always have to predict failure.

Your ability to talent-assess franchises has always been lacking, my friend. I don't think very many people would agree with you that the Jests' OL is better than the Bills' OL.
-
For every NFL matchup you can sit down and come up with a half dozen reasons why one or the other team will win, but it typically comes down to who is more talented and who makes fewer mistakes. When I look at this matchup it comes down to the following: whose OL will do a better job? Both teams have excellent defenses with strong fronts and secondaries. Which OL will give their QB the chance to make plays? On paper the Bills' OL is much better than the Jests' OL. I think that will be the difference maker...Allen will get enough time to make plays, while Rodgers will be constantly harrassed. The Bills now have the players to run legitimate 12 personnel sets. They haven't had that before, and it puts pressure on the Jests' D. I don't think this will be a one-score game. Bills by 10.

I agree with your post except the part quoted above. The NFL doesn’t “need” the Jets to be hyped because they are always hyped. And once and for all, the league is not scripted or “fixed.” The NFL benefits from a blowout Bills win that sends the NYC media into a frenzy just as much as a Jets win.

By all accounts Tre looked great at camp.

Past & Present, Here Are The Strongest Players in NFL History (Photos)

Ah, yes, who can forget Leif Larsen. Unfortunately he had all the mobility and flexibility of a giant sequoia. -

College football a joke for early season and bowl games
eball replied to Radar's topic in College Football
The ACC is in trouble. Clemson and FSU will be the first shoes to drop, then Miami, and Virginia, Carolina, and NC State won’t be far behind. Adding Stanford, Cal, and SMU was all about the TV market, but the makeup of the “Atlantic Coast” conference now is laughable. ”Any College Conference” is more like it. -

I can’t stand Brian Kelly. Went from a hard-working head coach in Division II to a guy who just runs for the money and prestige, players be damned. He has left not one, not two, but THREE programs prior to their bowl games to bolt for greener pastures. Seeing him fail at LSU will be a joy to behold, and I’m so happy FSU put the beat down on them last night. -

This, a thousand times over. I’ve never seen a spoiled jackass get so much slack from a region/fan base simply because he’s related to our HOF QB. -
I see 13 or 14 wins out of this schedule if the Bills stay reasonably healthy at the key positions. Yes, the back half of the schedule is tough, facing Cinci, KC, and Philly on the road, but if the Bills come out of the gate as I expect they could be 8-0 heading into that Cinci game. All of the national noise about problems in Buffalo and a SB window “closing” are complete bull-shite. This is the best roster Buffalo has put on the field since 1990. McD has proven he is an excellent regular season coach. The real test comes in January.

Great article on the front page this morning, detailing how Dorsey spends his week during the season. Wow. The amount of preparation, collaboration, and attention to detail is amazing. I love reading things like this because most fans don’t understand the effort and dedication some guys put in. Joe 6-pack who works maybe 40 hours a week sits on his couch and critiques the play-calling. It’s absurd. Not every play works. Not every game plan is perfect. Players make mistakes, and other teams make great plays. But I will never claim that Dorsey “doesn’t have a clue” or hasn’t done his homework.

I’m livin’ rent free in that inflated head of yours! 😂 Please don’t start charging me rent for the space I’m occupying inside that cavernous skull… 😂

Don’t bother answering the blowhard @BADOLBILZ — he literally sits around figuring out what he can post to piss people off. It’s funniest when you’re in his head, though, and don’t respond.

Bill Parcells has given away millions to former players
eball replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall
That’s a pretty amazing story. Good on Bill. -
I’m a Bills fan so I know that wasn’t “who we are” but from a national perspective you are only as good as your last game, and everyone saw the Bills lay a giant, stinking turd on the Highmark turf the last time they saw them. The roster is markedly improved over last season at every position but LB (and Kirksey may change that). 10-7 or 9-8 predictions with this roster are absurd, in my opinion. I will not be surprised one bit if the Bills win 13 or 14 games, and I’d hammer any “over 10” win total bet. The biggest question facing this team isn’t whether they will make the playoffs…it is whether this coaching staff can get them over the hump once they get there.
