  1. LOL so now the goal for the Bills — the favorite in this game — is to “keep it close?” Dude, get me some of what you’re smoking! 😂
  2. Well, duh. We won’t know how they compare until after the season. But this is a thread about what we think will happen, and I think the Bills’ best 6 pass catchers in 2023 (4 WRs and 2 TEs) will be better than their best 6 pass catchers were in 2020 (4 WRs, 1 TE, and a gadget guy).
  3. Totally agree. He's a really likable dude. Burrow, on the other hand, has a punchable face.
  4. That's a great question, but requires a little more depth. In 2020 the top 6 Bills pass catchers (Diggs/Beas/Davis/Brown/Knox/McKenzie) caught 331 passes for 4129 yards. Last year Diggs/Davis/Knox combined for 204/2782. Do I think the combination of Sherfield/Harty/Kincaid will exceed 127 receptions and 1347 yards? You bet I do.
  5. Brown had 1K in 2019. In 2020 the ghost of John Brown had fewer yards than rookie Davis.
  6. Funny and largely accurate. I’m not a guy who blames officiating and I always roll my eyes at those who think refs or the league “have it out for them” but there is a very vocal contingent of such conspiracy theorists. With Boger in particular, though, I often found myself shaking my head at his calls, even when they had nothing to do with the Bills.
  7. Hate to say it but I think the Chiefs win (and cover). The Lions were a nice story last year and do appear to be a legitimate playoff contender going into this season, but they haven’t been in this situation before. Going to KC for the NFL opener against the defending SB champs is a huge step up, and rarely do teams meet that challenge the first time they experience it. I don’t care that Kelce may not play and they don’t have Jones. Mahomes is still Mahomes and I don’t see a Detroit defense that will shut him down. I really, really hope I’m wrong. Would love to see KC saddled with an L this early.
  8. LOL now the 2020 WR room was “great” — ok. Diggs and Beasley were great. A rookie Davis had 599 yards and John Brown had 458.
  9. I said at least equal. The WR room is deeper now for sure. Beasley was great, but 2023 Davis is better than 2020 Davis and I guess I'm thinking overall "pass catchers" rather than simply WRs. Knox and Kincaid tip the scales.
  10. I was reading an article about the rules changes this season and one blurb near the end caught my eye...Jerome Boger retired. I don't know about the rest of you, but I always thought he was a terrible referee, particularly in the realm of b.s. roughing the passer penalties. Anyway, here is the article.
  11. Talk to me after their first six games.
  12. I disagree with nearly all of your assessments. QB is better because Josh is more experienced RB room is much better WR room is at least equal to 2020. (Edit: I'm talking all pass catchers, including TEs) OL is better on paper DL is better on paper LB is unknown but you'd expect it to be a step down from Edmunds CB is better and deeper S is better with addition of Rapp, who will play a lot ST do matter and Bass is a top 5 K. Martin a very solid punter. Probably no worse than any other year. I'm solidly on the record that this year's team is the most talented of the McBeane era, and probably the best since 1990.
  13. Well, we all knew he looked fat. Glad to hear he is committed to being in shape. He had a “down” year last season and we need him to be an above average LT again.
  14. You’re such a tool. And a one-trick pony.
  15. I'm with ya, man. And Mort was such a huge part of us getting inside information pre-internet. Mort, Clayton, that blonde with the bug-eyes whose name escapes me right now...
  16. McD says few things publicly that don't have a purpose. His comments about Rodgers and Hackett, to me, send the message that he knows Hackett hasn't "called" a game with Rodgers in his career.
  17. Richard Todd era. Awesome. Bills by a billion.
  18. I think it's clear by now that the players really like the Smurf getups. I'm guessing the players and/or captains have a big say, and obviously this means the Jests are wearing white.
  19. This aged well. 🤡
  20. What didn't you like? He was an insider before there were insiders. Never biased that I noticed, just a lot of good info.
  21. Came across this tweet today... I will note that the 48% does NOT include Milano or Tre White, whom most say McD drafted using Whaley's prep work. And if we ignore specialists and focus on the O and D starting 22, the percentage is actually 55%. So, is that good? Not good?
  22. I think a lot of NFL GMs disagree with you. If given the chance to draft Burrow or Allen I think it's probably 3-to-1 for Allen. And with respect to the FilthyTroll, I stand by my assessment.
  23. Anyone else of the opinion that perhaps Benford was just severely overlooked and under-drafted coming from a school like Villanova? I'm more impressed with Benford than I am disappointed in Elam. I still think Elam is going to play a bunch this year. Best news is that Dodson is on the bench. That dude sucks. Finally some interior OL depth also, with Bates and Edwards. I just hope Bernard doesn't shite himself Monday night. Kirksey needs to get ready fast.
  24. Dude, literally everything you post is a deliberate attempt to inflame Bills fans. Are you that miserable a person? Go somewhere else! Friggin’ troll. 🧌
  25. Well, that’s one way to blow up any chance of rehabilitating your reputation. What a friggin’ troll.
