  1. The match was awesome. When Pogba hit that missile to put the French up two nobody in the building believed they would lose. Amazing comeback in the final 10 minutes by the Suisse and then perfection from the penalty spot. I’m looking forward to England-Germany today at noon.
  2. Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce! Good on ya, #78.
  3. No need to apologize. I think the value of social media is in how each person chooses to use it. I'm on FB, Twitter, and Instagram but you'd probably call me a "lurker" rather than a frequent poster. There are a ton of people who (in my opinion) completely misuse SM but I'd feel like I was missing something if I didn't (a) learn about it and (b) participate somewhat. Like you said, to each his own. Cheers.
  4. I'm really not trying to start something, and I mean no disrespect, but why? Social media is an innovation and advancement in communication that is here to stay. How a person uses it and interacts with others is that person's choice, but I'm just wondering why anyone would be "proud" to say they aren't going to participate as if it's some red badge of courage. Umm...congratulations?
  5. This thread is apparently from the Department of Redundancy Department.
  6. Beasley can be replaced. By the way, somebody should ask Cole if he thinks the NC State baseball players are happy they “lived their lives normally.”
  7. The impossible has happened. I agree 100% with every word written by Jerry in his latest column. Perhaps the best thing he has ever written.
  8. Back-to-back weeks in ‘94 vs. Houston (15-7 W) and then Monday night vs. Denver (27-20 W). Never to be seen again (thank god).
  9. The red helmets blow but as a tribute to the AFC Championship teams of the 90s I can stomach them for a game a year.
  10. I listened to this primarily to hear what they would say about the defense, but wow, Greg Cosell was effusive in his praise of Allen. I still say anyone expecting a "regression" in play from Allen this season just doesn't get it. As for the defense, DL was the primary topic and Cosell talked about the Bills using both Rousseau and Basham inside on "sub-fronts." With respect to Miami, Cosell said Tua needs to function "in rhythm and in a structure" to be effective. Wouldn't predict anything but said Miami is trying to give him the tools. Cosell predicts Cam will be the QB in NE***. Thinks their D will be "very solid." I didn't listen to the Jets analysis because eff the Jets.
  11. Yup. This entire thread is a bit irritating to me (I know, so why am I here) but the whole concept of “regression” needs to be defined. Is it simply statistics (as I believe the OP intended) or is it — as I believe you, I, and others view it — whether or not Josh gets “worse” as an NFL QB? If the latter, there is literally no reason to believe he takes a step backwards. He is relentlessly motivated and dedicated to improving his craft, and we’ve seen the results before our very eyes. I don’t give a crap about whether he throws for 300 fewer yards or 10 fewer TDs, or tosses a few more picks because he is taking some chances. He will be a better QB. I’m also too lazy to look it up but I’d still like to know if QB performance overall last season (without crowds) was markedly better than it was in 2019 or 2018. This has been brought up several times as a reason why Josh will do worse this season but I’d like to know if the numbers back it up.
  12. How the DL develops this season is the thing I am most intrigued and excited about. Let’s face it, that was the Bills’ one true weakness last season.
  13. That was the old Georgia Dome. They’ve got a new crib now. Oh, and I’m sorry you had to watch the Brohm debacle live. I could at least turn off the TV.
  14. Serious question: has anyone compared last season’s QB statistics league-wide to prior seasons? Were the offensive/passing numbers demonstrably better?
  15. Define “regress” — otherwise your “pole” is meaningless. Josh Allen will be a better QB this season than he was last season. There is little reason to think otherwise.
  16. I'd say that means your answer to my question is yes since those numbers are significantly lower than what Allen did last season. "Ceiling" is a player's sustained best, not one crazy good year. Let's just say we disagree about what Josh's "average" year going forward will look like.
  17. Do you believe Josh reached his ceiling last year?
  18. Most people will be wrong. His decision making, confidence, and leadership will only grow. PFF are still clinging to their (last) hope that Josh's 2020 was an anomaly.
  19. That is correct; the rankings are supposedly based upon how they expect the players to perform in the future. Of course, they're expecting Josh to regress.
  20. ...in their rankings of the top 50 players in football regardless of position. Pff is short for pffffffft.
  21. Their worst kit is the "bone" colored unis. They look like the laundry staff forgot to do the whites.
  22. That's a really big "no." Rich/The Ralph/New Era/Highmark is unbelievably outdated. Recent renovations are the definition of slapping lipstick on a pig. Sightlines from every seat are awesome, but in this day and age people are doing more than just going to the stadium to watch the game.
