  1. Agreed, but domes/enclosed facilities have come a long way since the Superdome was built. Indy, Minnesota, Atlanta have amazing enclosed stadiums.
  2. At least one. We will see some surprises, which is why I don't spend too much time deliberating over the final roster; I'm typically more concerned with numbers at certain positions vs. the actual players. Last year the only position I really had any "stake" in was wanting them to keep Bass, which thankfully they did. This year I could easily see them going with just two QBs on the active roster in order to keep an extra DL or WR.
  3. Jesus. What a thread. Although around here, what did I expect.
  4. My list is in order of whose loss would impact Ws and Ls the most: Diggs Hyde Poyer White Allen Dawkins Milano D. Williams Oliver Bass My rationale: Diggs can’t be replaced. Hyde/Poyer are one unit in my mind and the key to the entire defense. Allen would be #1 but for the signing of Trubisky, who is capable of keeping the ship afloat. I have both starting OTs on my list. Edit: I really want to put Edmunds on this list, but he’s just not there yet.
  5. I suppose, although without pads on it’s tough to draw any conclusions on DT play.
  6. Sincere question: do we know that for sure? They said “sold out” but I don’t recall seeing any numbers; it’s possible they had held back a number of tickets? Has anyone looked to see if more are now available?
  7. This sure sounds like a “camp body” move to me.
  8. Nope. You implied that Beane should have cut them, then asked them to come crawling back for less money after they tested the market. Which scenario do you think creates more bad blood? You’re a goof.
  9. We have a stud, he'll be here for the next 15 years, and we're going to win multiple championships. I don't even need to see/hear these analyses any more.
  10. Were they "happy" about it? Of course not. But that's not the point. They made a business decision; take a pay cut and stay with an organization that still wants you around (and is a SB contender), or get cut and "hope" you land in a good spot. Doesn't take a lot of brain power to make that decision; even you should understand it. Keep undercutting Beane as he builds a perennial contender, buddy. It plays really well around here.
  11. Dude, you said it. I quoted you. You said Addison and Butler are now upset with Beane because he's apparently paying them more than they would get on the open market. Own your words. They're important. But I don't expect a look-at-me blowhard like yourself to understand that.
  12. LOL, yes, you need to teach Beane how to GM. Effin’ hilarious. And that last sentence is a beaut. Two players who are being “grossly overpaid versus market value” are supposedly now “dissatisfied with management” for grossly overpaying them. Brilliant!
  13. There is, quite literally, NO reason for it to go down any other way, knowing what we know about Josh and his career aspirations. He wants and deserves to be paid like one of the best players in the league, but he also wants to win championships and knows he needs support.
  14. After the draft and pay cut I still felt that Addison was almost a lock to make the roster but now I’m not so sure. Aside from Hughes that DE room is pretty damned young…this may be one of those “McD likes to keep a vet around” situations. I just don’t know who they let go among Obada, Johnson, and Love because Hughes, Epenesa, Rousseau, and Basham are stone-cold locks. Hate it for the guy but Cox’s injury may have been a good thing for the Bills. This D line is going to be fun to watch…what a potential turnaround from what we were looking at a year ago.
  15. Haven’t weighed in on this topic yet…I was one of those hoping for a cool downtown venue but I’m not “disappointed” in keeping the stadium in OP. Excited to see the plans, as it does seem a bit odd a retractable roof of some sort is apparently not in the works.
  16. Washington Football Club would be a good permanent name.
  17. I bet you’re fun at parties.
  18. "The waiter doesn't need to know your name."
  19. Somebody might need to step away from the keyboard for a bit and get some perspective.
  20. That "problem" occurred exactly once last season, and "oh by the way" all of their receivers were injured as well as their 1B running back. I'm not worried.
  21. And I'm such a tool that I tried to convince myself I liked the uniforms. I want to slap that version of me upside the head.
  22. Didn't say I agree; just that Reich is the reason why "people" think Wentz will be reborn.
  23. One answer and one answer only -- lots of respect for Frank Reich.
