  1. Josh wants to be great. We are so friggin’ lucky.
  2. This is very well said. I give you, in particular, much more leeway in your opinions because (a) you have proven over the years just how much you study the game, (b) you admit your misjudgments, and (c) you have no ulterior motives. What I don’t like to see on this message board are the posters who act like they know everything when it’s clear they do not. There are certain posters who shall remain nameless who have to this day never admitted they were wrong about a player/team/coach.
  3. Man, how “Billsy” was that Braxton fumble/TD? Even back then the Bills knew how to rip our hearts out, but what a comeback. Wish I could say I remember that game but I was knee-high to a grasshopper in ‘74. Great stuff.
  4. Individual. Modified Stableford scoring, where you get plus or minus points on each hole based upon your gross score. There are several guys (Romo is one) who typically do very well. And then there are guys like Barkley who struggle to make a par.
  5. (Move to OTW if appropriate, please) For those interested, the ACC begins in Lake Tahoe tomorrow and a number of current/former Bills are represented…Kyle Williams (2nd last year), Ryan Fitzpatrick, Doug Flutie, and 1st-time participant Sean McDermott. McD is playing with Vrabel and Nagy. In an interview McD joked about Vrabel trying to get intel, and keeping a “tape recorder” in his bag so he could get info himself. I’m curious to see what sort of game he has. First round pairings are listed here. Mahomes and Kelce are playing with Justin Timberlake. There’s a pretty funny pairing of Charles Barkley, Rob Riggle, and Larry the Cable Guy. Fitzy is playing with Dan Quayle and Joe Theismann. Anyway, it’s a fun tournament. Have to think we’ll see Josh there at some point; he loves golf. Cheers. Edit: whoops, shoulda figured Yolo was already all over this.
  6. 7 out of 17 is “nearly half?” What sort of math are they teaching these days?
  7. I just looked at the schedule and the Bills are only their 8th game so I agree, they will likely not have been eliminated from contention yet. Based upon their first seven games, though, if they are better than 2-5 going in I’ll be surprised.
  8. By November JAX is likely out of the playoff hunt; Bills fans should rule the roost.
  9. This is all well and good but Boogie was a late 2nd rounder who played at a high level in a power five conference. It just seems like an odd guy for Simms to single out as a potential bust. Pretty much everything I've read about Boogie suggests he has a reasonably high floor, taking him out of that "bust" conversation IMO.
  10. I’m going to call b.s. on just how much “film” Simms has watched of these two DE prospects. Rousseau was a risky pick for a couple of reasons (opt out, inexperience), but how he showed on film wasn’t one of them. Same for Boogie — nothing but production for WF. Simms probably felt he needed to pump the brakes on Buffalo with all of the Josh Allen ball washing.
  11. LOL — yes, I’m sure he could read that. I think the point of the question is WHY would that “drive someone crazy?” I agree, it seems a bit odd to be concerned about such a thing.
  12. I have a feeling the atmosphere at that game may rival two seasons ago when it was literally 50-50 in terms of Bills/Oilers fans. Got my tickets over a month ago. Will be a blast. Oh, and from what I recall the Oiler fans are cool.
  13. Generally speaking, yes, but not when you have an MVP-caliber QB entering his prime. Those predictions are actually pretty easy. It’s ridiculous to look at Buffalo and Miami right now and predict Miami will be better in three years.
  14. Yep. Don’t see too many defenses who are going to slow down this offense, and I expect the defense to be markedly better as well, which should lead to more points.
  15. That wasn’t the question. Nailed it. Only a buffoon looks at the current situations in Buffalo and Miami and concludes Miami will be “the team to beat” in 2024.
  16. None of the reporters covering the NFL have any idea the level of competitiveness Josh possesses. At the end of the day we’ve got a guy with Brady’s fire and the best physical tools the NFL may have ever seen. Sit back and enjoy the ride.
  17. Wolfe couldn’t help himself, though…said in three years the Fish will surpass Buffalo. Dolt.
  18. The ego on these guys. It’s quite astounding, actually.
  19. A bit off topic, but as far as Movin’ The Chains goes I could listen to Kirwan all day but Miller is a mush mouth mess.
  20. Agree completely. Beane and Addison apparently spoke right after the draft. We don’t know what was said but whatever it was, I’m thinking Beane will want to abide by his words.
  21. Come on, you've GOT to protect Drew Br--- Never mind.
  22. Beane was waiting for Knox's report card...that's the last shoe to drop.
