  1. I haven't watched more than about five minutes of Arizona this season but they appear to be pretty good, particularly on offense. I don't focus too much on the NFC other than the division the Bills play each season, though, because hopefully at the end of the day there's only one game in which we could see them. There is no scenario under which the Bills have to go through Arizona, Green Bay, Dallas, and the Rams in order to get to the Super Bowl.
  2. Keep opening mouth and inserting foot, genius. Right? How dare he try to keep a player motivated in case he is needed later in the season? The nerve.
  3. It's folk. As in one guy. The OP. Nothing to see here.
  4. Exactly what process are you trusting?
  5. That’s called McD wanting to keep Ford’s head in the game because they may still need him, whether next week or later in the season.
  6. Thx Yolo. Karras was an ex-NFLer.
  7. I really love this team but I can’t get myself to feel confident about a KC game until I see them do it. I want an aggressive game plan on both sides of the ball and let the chips fall where they may. This week’s game does not make or break the season, but a W would go a very long way towards a potential playoff matchup. We can’t be the Chefs’ beyotches any longer.
  8. The guy from Webster? Man, the line must be really bad.
  9. Holy reverse psychology post, Batman!!!
  10. You probably need something other than a football message board then. Just sayin.
  11. Well…SOME of us have said it would take Dawson some time and to write him off as a bust was premature. SOME of us have said his process getting acclimated to the NFL would be similar to what Josh needed to do because of his relative inexperience. SOME of us are enjoying this.
  12. Today wasn’t huge anything. McD has always played the players who earn it during the week. Just because YOU don’t see what goes on during the week doesn’t mean you know jack schitttt. Ford struggled mightily last week. They made a change. It’s nothing out of the ordinary and nothing we shouldn’t expect. I’m pretty sick and tired of the armchair know-it-alls who really know NOTHING about what happens each week and base all of their opinions on the 3 hours they spend drooling in front of the TV each Sunday.
  13. This is one of the greatest clips I have ever seen.
  14. Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait…didn’t McD and Beane force Ford into the lineup today because he’s a 2nd round pick? Paging @ScottLaw…cleanup on aisle 6.
  15. No pickle juice?
  16. Freaking Howitzer. Love that guy.
  17. Not going to belabor this because you’re a good dude, but (a) the Chicago streak was noted upthread; and (b) referencing the streak since the league merged into its current form is, I think, more relevant. Cheers.
  18. The Mansion on Delaware. Do it, particularly if you’re bringing a romantic interest. Great hotel.
  19. Yeah, against Pitt I think he was just trying too hard. First game back in front of the crowd, first game after signing the big contract…there had to have been a lot going on in Josh’s head that day. He didn’t play horribly, and in fact had better stats than he did against Pitt last year. He was, as you say, just a bit “off.” Against Miami he began to break out of it, particularly in the 2nd half, and then we all saw what a relaxed, comfortable-with-himself Josh can do against the WFT. The OL is an issue but not one Josh can’t deal with.
  20. They’re dysfunctional. A bunch of talent doesn’t equal a good team. Flores is overrated. Whether he wanted Herbert or not, he should have played Fitz last year and let Tua sit and learn. This season he has some sort of three-headed offensive coaching cadre that makes no sense. They are a mess. Yes, a good QB helps to hide flaws (see: Bills OL) but the problems in South Beach run deeper than that.
  21. Ruh-roh, Shaggy. When people start citing their IQ scores in defense of their posts, things have gone off the rails.
  22. “Since the AFL/NFL merger” is very clearly in the first sentence of my post. Howell is far and away the best QB of this class. This season he’s getting murdered behind a very shaky OL but he still has two games in which he threw for 300 and ran for 100. Big time arm. I think he will be a very solid pro.
  23. Hmm...not entirely sure I agree, but he does have that "crafty veteran" thing going for him.
  24. Harlan's voice is fantastic and his enthusiasm is genuine, not contrived. I'm golfing during the game Sunday and for the first time in forever I'm going to listen to the Bills radio feed. I really want to know who Gus Johnson pissed off. That dude should be one of the networks' top NFL and NCAA basketball play-by-play guys.
