  1. Should HAVE. Would HAVE. Common man, your better than this.
  2. Nah, wasn’t needed. Josh is a team captain and thoughtful veteran at this point — he doesn’t need a babysitter.
  3. He wouldn’t have learned to read defenses and taken his lumps throwing to the likes of Kelvin Benjamin, Zay Jones, and Robert Foster. Respect the process.
  4. I think Josh was 100% focused on not saying anything that could be interpreted by any current or future opponent as bulletin board material, or be any sort of distraction for his team. Do I wish he’d been cracking jokes and being himself? Absolutely, but I understand why he wasn’t and respect that.
  5. Do some research on Jones fractures before you’re predicting a full return for Henry by the playoffs. Right now I’d place the odds of his return in any capacity this season at about 10-15%.
  6. I don't trust it. Sorry, you asked. I like a lot of the pieces but if we need a defensive stop up by 6 or less in the 4th quarter in the playoffs I'll be a wreck.
  7. The thing about metatarsal fractures is that they frequently start out as stress fractures that worsen over time. That, my friend, is the definition of "wear and tear." Vrabel is absolutely being defensive.
  8. Now that's a bold statement.
  9. Very poorly stated. Their goal is indeed to be consistently good; good enough to win the SB in any year. I've never heard Beane and McD say they "hope" to be "fortunate" to win a SB, or that they would be happy with just one. That said, there is nothing "wrong" with what the Rams are doing either. They want to win this year and made a splash move to try and get there. They do not value future draft picks in the same way as many (most) teams do. We'll see how it works out for them.
  10. It is so tough to predict. As noted above, foot fractures are notoriously "bad" for healing because of the lack of blood flow. That's why athletes have the surgery immediately to put hardware in place. I had a fractured 2nd and 3rd metatarsal last year and healed without surgery but I was off my foot for nearly four months. I also used a bone stimulator daily. Could Henry come back this year? Sure, it's possible, but I wouldn't want to count on it.
  11. 5th metatarsal is, I believe, the dreaded "Jones fracture" injury. Terrible for an athlete. Feel bad for Henry. Oilers fans? Not so much.
  12. Fans assuming their biases and concerns are the same as the players actually playing is one of the most tired and boring tropes on any message board.
  13. So you’re saying OJ is on a wild goose chase?
  14. Can this guy please just disappear? Seriously, in no other community is his every move documented. He’s related to Jim Kelly. So what. He sucks and he’s not a particularly good guy. Bye now.
  15. And then we needed OT in one of the ugliest games ever played two months later at Rich to clinch the division.
  16. Bullet. Dodged.
  17. Damn whippersnappers need to get off my lawn!
  18. I was so bummed they didn’t do Bills-Titans. Hopefully they do Bills-Pats*** later this year.
  19. You, sir, clearly have your finger on the pulse of this team.
  20. What a freaking attitude problem. Total “me first” guy.
  21. What did Joe Flacco do to deserve this?
  22. Yeah, good point. 8-9 is not getting it done.
  23. Agreed. Casual fans (and probably even some not-so-casual ones) are going to continue to expect Mahomes to do 2018-2020 Mahomes-like things, but right now it’s clear he is pressing. An intellectually honest evaluation of his play this year has to point out the poor decisions that have put the Chiefs in a bad spot.
  24. This is NOT a “bash Collinsworth” post but I continue to find it curious how he praises certain quarterbacks while never quite giving others their due. The amount of praise being heaped upon Wentz last night in the time I watched the game was odd, and as I posted up thread, on one particular drive Wentz threw three passes that should have been intercepted before finally making that bonehead shot put throw. Was the weather a factor? Sure, but I don’t see a guy who is playing at a high level. I do commend Indy for righting the ship after the 0-3 start, and let’s face it, they should have finished the job in Baltimore also. They’re a tough team and I hope they knock off Tennessee next week.
  25. Dumb rule. A muff is one thing; that was something completely different. 49ers should have been punished for that poor play.
