  1. All of you replying to @FilthyBeast as if he's a legitimate Bills fan have me like...
  2. I'm all for fair critique of players. What I can't stand is the premature "declarations" that run rampant. If people can't understand that, it's not my problem. Again, I'm glad for both of these guys and for the team.
  3. …who have established themselves this year as (edit) potential cornerstones of the Bills’ D. Per usual, the armchair idiots who called both guys busts have once again been proven wrong. Different players have different timelines to become acclimated to the NFL (and Harry had to overcome a significant injury). I look forward to a new contract for Phillips and watching both of these guys anchor the DL for years to come. When will fans learn? Probably never.
  4. Yup, this doesn't mean anything other than he is eligible to practice. I still believe it is very unlikely he sees action. Those injuries are tough. If he does make it back, good for him, but I don't think he'll be 100%. Whatever, though...if the Bills play them I hope he's a full go and we still stomp them.
  5. You're gonna have to 'splain how you get Nantz-Romo going to Tampa as a sign they'll be in Buffalo in a week.
  6. Wow, a craptastic slate for NC. The only good game of the four is the late SF/LAR tilt, and of course I'll be watching our Bills.
  7. Key here is Saturday night. If Denver beats KC then the 2 seed is in play and we want the Browns to beat the Bengals. If KC wins then we can't get the #2 so it's all about sorting out the rest of the seeds on Sunday. If you want to go to Tennessee the 2nd weekend you want the 4, if you don't mind going to KC it's the 3.
  8. Pretty cool that "win and you're in" Vegas vs. Bolts is the last game of the weekend on SNF.
  9. I'll guarantee you that there are, at a minimum, five people who are keenly aware of this: Diggs, Allen, Daboll, McD, and Beane. If Diggs doesn't get six catches on Sunday I will be stunned.
  10. Me too. The Bills are literally 2 or 3 plays away from being the #1 seed and preemptive favorite to win the AFC. They are a complete team — no glaring weaknesses. They are well coached and have a superstar QB. They play well on the road. What’s not to like? Which other team in the AFC has a more complete team/coaching combination? KC is very good but their D is still questionable. Indy is very good but they just lost a playoff clincher at home to Vegas (and they have Wentz). Tennessee is very good but not as complete. The Pats***? Please. This Bills team is better than last year’s team. They had their ups and downs this year, but something happened at halftime vs. the Bucs and they’ve been a different, ultra-focused group since then.
  11. Josh doesn't need anyone "defending" his play. He made one really bad decision on Sunday and thankfully the 45 or so other decisions he made were pretty good and we won the football game easily.
  12. Ha ha, awesome. Great story Matt. Just listened to the replay.
  13. Yeah, that's kind of my thinking. The NFL loves stories, and a "rematch" in Buffalo on MNF after what happened a few weeks ago is a pretty good one.
  14. We get Kevin Harlan for the finale! Love that guy's energy.
  15. Love it. Regardless of what sort of career Echols carves out, he'll have that memory of intercepting the GOAT for all time. It was a total show of respect, and I'm glad Brady didn't turn him down.
  16. The Baker situation is the easier one in my mind…the Browns should tell him to play out his 5th year option and then talk. He has some excuses (injury) and there’s no question he tried to tough it out for the team…probably to his detriment. But he wasn’t good and they shouldn’t pay him now. Both the Ravens and Lamar are in a pickle. The Ravens drafted him and then completely designed an offense around him. If the contract demands are “reasonable” then the Ravens probably extend him, but if Baltimore decides they want to go in another direction because his demands are too high where does he go? What other team is going to “blow everything up” and craft the offense needed for him to be successful? Lamar won an MVP and has had tremendous success (pre-playoffs). This year, though, the fear a lot of folks had has come to the forefront — namely, that he’s not a huge guy and that style of play is hazardous to his health. He also still hasn’t developed fully as a passer. Like the OP mentioned, we should be so happy not to be in either of these spots.
  17. Just a little insight for people who don’t pay attention to the schedule rules or wonder why we seem to play certain teams outside the AFC East repeatedly… Aside from the divisional games, each division plays one other division in the same conference on a rotating schedule, but then you also face the two teams from the other same-conference divisions who finished in the same place in their division as you did the prior year. Next year the AFC East plays the AFC North, but if the Bills win the division they play Tennessee and KC because those teams also won their divisions. As long as Buffalo, KC, and Tennessee keep winning their divisions, they’ll play every year.
  18. This is the scenario Bills fans should be rooting for. As for Cleveland-Cinci...if there is a nit to pick with the Bengals it seems as though Burrow does get hit a lot. Cleveland's D front is pretty good...they might have a puncher's chance...
  19. Like I said...seriously injured. Anyway, the point is that Trubisky is as good as gone if he wants a chance to start. As for Covid...in 2020 there were no vaccines, lots of people dying, and we didn't know what we didn't know. Now there are vaccines and the latest variant is a significantly watered-down virus that has everyone changing the way we think about Covid going forward. Who said there is no planning? I'm just talking about reality.
  20. Which odds are those? Some guys are injury prone, and some guys are freaks of nature. I happen to believe Josh is the latter. What about him leads you to the conclusion that he is likely to be seriously injured? If the Bills can bring back Trubisky that's great; but it is also highly unlikely if he is a guy who truly wants another shot at starting (for the reasons noted above). Covid won't be an issue next season unless a new, more serious variant emerges. And I continue to believe more and more folks will be vaxxed.
  21. Yes, the infamous EJ Manuel “hard count” game.
