  1. If "real deal" = Andy Dalton 2.0, Jones has a chance.
  2. Serious question for the X-and-O’ers on the forum…what’s your thinking regarding the Bills’ D and how they cope with all of KC’s speed this week? I believe Allen and our O will continue to perform at a high level because of the balance and versatility we’ve shown, but crazy stuff happens and I’d like to think we can get a somewhat comfortable lead — that will depend upon how well the D can slow KC down.
  3. I see that Sugar High Kyler came to play tonight.
  4. I think actually having our receivers healthy for this game will counteract much of the "mugging" that went on last year.
  5. That place is too much of a headache to get in and out of (at least from NC), and the game being on Sunday night makes it a no-go for me. I'm planning on being in Nashville or Buffalo the following weekend, though.
  6. If you have an Athletic subscription it's easy to find under the Bills heading. A link won't do you any good if you don't have a subscription.
  7. Given the cold temps our group shifted to an indoor tailgate option, hanging out with some friends at their place in OP. It was a good idea. We got to a parking lot on Abbott by 7:15, and I was in the stadium before 7:45. I was in the club section and I'm sure that alone made this a super spreader event...still waiting to see if I managed to escape Omicron. Nobody inside the club was masked up, but I didn't expect them to be, either. My seat was near one of the overhead heaters and while it provided a little bit of relief it was still very cold. I'm an old pro at bundling for cold weather games so nothing on me was cold except my hands, whenever I removed my gloves. I drove up to the game from NC by myself and while I had friends at the game all around the stadium they did not have extra seats so I sat by myself. The group around me were awesome and by the middle of the 1st quarter we were already fast friends. I really didn't drink at all at the game, as I wanted to completely savor the moment. Couple of beers in the afternoon, then one hot chocolate and Skrewball at halftime. This was the third best home game experience of my lifetime, trailing only 51-3 and The Comeback. Given those games were 31 and 29 years ago, respectively, this felt particularly good. There have been other games with more drama, but 51-3 is the most similar because of the overall feeling of euphoria that came over the crowd by halftime. The 2nd half was one big coming out party. So glad I made the trip; it's one I would have absolutely regretted not making. Left OP at 7:30 on Sunday morning and lost about 90 minutes of time on bad roads in Virginia, but pulled into my driveway at 6:30 -- in time to watch the Dallas implosion live.
  8. You forgot something:
  9. Fixed for accuracy. Not only will they go to war for him...they don't want to disappoint him. That's the definition of "leader." Ass-hats grab facemasks and think they're exhibiting "leadership."
  10. Damn. Go get it, boys.
  11. What kind of an asinine statement is this? Do you honestly believe teams can "bank" good play for future use? Geez, dude, you just continue to distinguish yourself as either an elite troll or a complete moron. Go read the Athletic article about the multitude of formations and personnel groupings the Bills used Saturday night. That gives KC and all other future opponents so much to prepare for their heads will be swimming.
  12. FYI, the line moved to -5 Buffalo for a while before settling back at -4.5. Right now at my book it’s -4.5 but -115.
  13. Made it into town last night…nearly 700 miles in 10 hours from NC. I’m ready to run through a brick wall for this game. LET’S GO, BUFFALO!
  14. I think I visit PFR three or four times a week. Just an amazing database and resource to look up just about anything NFL-related.
  15. Is this going to be open tonight?
  16. Hahaha just watched it. Love how McD said something and then kept walking on by.
  17. Get ready, Orchard Park...E-ball is headed your way. Decided this morning that there was no way I could miss the first home playoff game with a full house in more than 20 years...looked at flights but realized the weather here in NC is going to get really bad Saturday night and all day Sunday...so tomorrow morning I'm hopping in the car and making the drive. LET'S GO BUFFALO!!! Dude, I'm driving solo from NC!!!!
  18. I've been pretty hard on you for your trolling posts but this one is somewhat true...without the "lite" designation. Phillips is beginning to show that he could bring exactly what Kyle brought to the table, both on and off the field.
  19. Here's why I think the Steelers have at least a puncher's chance: 1 - KC O just isn't what it used to be (although Pitt D isn't either) 2 - KC D is average at best (8th in PA but 27th in YA); they give up 4.8 yds/rush which is 2nd worst in the league, and 5.9 yards/play (also 2nd worst). 3 - Steelers are a veteran team with a coach who seems to know how to push the right buttons 4 - TJ Watt Now, do I think the Steelers will win? No. But it would not "shock" me if they did, and I don't expect a KC blowout. I think Pitt can dink and dunk down the field on this D using short passes and Harris runs; the key is stopping KC enough to keep it close. Not betting the game.
  20. Why in the world would you take JA out of the equation? He is a legitimate weapon in the running game. You're dealing with a bias towards only looking at RBs, which skews your analysis.
  21. I can totally see Hughes accepting a team-friendly contract to come back next year, and I don't have a problem with it.
  22. "Super Bowl Champs" will do just fine.
