Teddy Bridgewater...what? Nice tackle attempt...
eball replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
OMG that is amazing. And I love it. -
Guns don’t kill people. Nigel Bradham kills people. I was worried this thread proved that.

Great at playing football but not too bright, so that may be accurate.

I hate to say it … but the Pats are coming

Heluva troll job, man. Well done. Just go away. Christ. -
Hate to quote myself but [LAMP] the post above was #30K! That's a lot of bad football I've been posting about for years. Geez.

Poor roster decisions still an issue with this regime
eball replied to FilthyBeast's topic in The Stadium Wall
But what about all of the poor posting decisions? -

I don't think the Bills will split with the Pats***...we'll take 'em both. And it's more likely the Bills win 2 of those 3 than lose 2 of 3. The Pats*** are playing well and many of us predicted they would be a team to be reckoned with. That doesn't mean they are on the Bills' level. -

Yeah, but Buffalo isn't losing six games. -
I keep expecting Tennessee to break down but they've been solid. Maybe the Bills can just run the table and make it a moot point!

Check your math. They've already lost 4. -
Yup. I think 13-4 is what it will take to clinch the #1 seed without relying on tiebreakers, which means Tennessee needs to lose three games. Their schedule looks horribly easy on paper, however...

Wentz is careless with the football; Rivers was a better fit for them last year. If the Bills can play adequately against the run and get pressure, he will make mistakes. This is a stern test regardless because Indy is a tough team, but Wentz' carelessness is their downfall.

So…we good now? Last week’s board was a joke. I hope some people learned their lessons.

Was that a noted issue? Serious question; I never heard that mentioned as a problem.

11/14/21 Gameday Bills at Jets Pregame Thread
eball replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Go Bills. That is all. 🦬 -
Is this a surprise to anyone? Seriously? Chucky suing the NFL and burning every bridge in his wake was about as predictable as the sun rising and setting.

This, I think, is a realistic scenario. To the Jests the game is important because it’s a divisional opponent and they want to set the tone for the future. They will play hard. They have a little “giddy-up” in their step with White at QB. I just believe that at the end of the day, the Bills are motivated for bigger and better things and are embarrassed by what happened last week. They have a much better and deeper roster. And if you want to get the run game going the Jests are a good opponent…they gave up THREE scoring runs of 20+ yards to the Colts last Thursday night. I’m not predicting any scores…the league is too unpredictable…but I think there is at least a 50-50 chance the Bills cover the spread.

This is a completely inaccurate statement. The Bills moved into Jacksonville territory on all but two of their possessions and I don’t recall even one 3-and-out. They were befuddled by penalties and lack of execution at inopportune moments. It was ugly, but they were still well over 300 yards in offense. The “I have no confidence the Bills will win another game” stuff is freaking hilarious. Vegas still thinks they are the Super Bowl favorite. We can admit and talk about flaws they have, but folks have gone completely overboard. Fans crack me up.

Last we heard from McD is that he expects both back at practice…should know more later today.

But is it talent or coaching?
-
We currently have an average (at best) OL, but Dawkins is a good player, Morse is a good player, and Brown shows promise. Williams looks passable at RG. Cody Ford should never see the field again. I’d like to see Bates get in there. The problem seems to be a lack of identity and an inability to transition from pass blocking to run blocking; I am not savvy enough to understand if this is an issue of talent or coaching, but I’m leaning towards the latter. We have RBs who do not strike fear into any defense, mostly because they can’t get more than a 1/2 yard past the LOS before encountering contact. We have a top 5 QB who tries to (and usually can) do everything to will his team to victory. We have a top 5 WR corps. We have a top 5 defense. We have a top 5 placekicker. With the above combination the Bills are most certainly still a legitimate Super Bowl contender, but they have flaws on offense the coaching staff must scheme around. Daboll needs to look at what the OL can and can’t do, understand the way defenses are playing us, and devise a plan early in games to get the defense into the looks we want to see. He also needs to adjust during the game. He did this against Miami; I have no explanation for why he did not against Jacksonville. I knew this place would be a wreck after Sunday’s game. It was disgusting to watch. I’m not buying the “they didn’t care enough” b.s. (I mean, look at how the defense played) but someone needs to light a fire under the OL and get them to show some pride in what they are doing. How can they look at Josh taking a beating, and the way he addressed the media after the game, and not take it personally? I look forward to seeing what Bills team comes out on Sunday against a team we should most certainly handle. It will say a great deal about the rest of the season. Cheers.

My condolences. To the point of this thread: McD had a lousy, no-good, terrible, awful day. He was bad. Daboll was bad. Nobody on offense looked prepared. It was a complete "throw the film in the trash" sort of affair. McD needs to be better and I'm guessing he knows that.

Josh Allen vs. Mahomes: Last 32 regular season starts
eball replied to Sammy Watkins' Rib's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t. ERA is the most important pitching stat and goals against/save percentage are the most important goalie stats. When those stats are great, that player’s team typically wins.
