  1. I've got to say I don't really understand the premise of this thread at all. A Super Bowl win will cement the greatest season in Buffalo Bills history. It doesn't "avenge" anything.
  2. I think when you go back and look at those teams, you probably see some pretty obvious explanations for why they did not have sustained success. I don't see that with the Bills. It seems the only people still wringing their hands over 13 seconds are the fan base. I'll put it this way; I certainly hope you're wrong and I don't expect there to be a letdown.
  3. Oh, I don't know, maybe something like "hey guys, new to the board, looks like a great place to talk Bills football. I'm concerned that the hangover from that 13-second meltdown against the Chiefs is going to linger...am I alone here?" So, Dr Bob, do you have anything concrete to support your concern that the Bills "won't recover" from the KC loss? Or are you just a long time Bills fan suffering from BBFS who doesn't believe anything good can happen to the team? Do you think Josh Allen is overconfident or not as good as we think he is? Do you think Von Miller is over the hill? Give us something, man, other than "we're doomed, 9 wins." Cheers and welcome to the board.
  4. Yes, they do. There has been talk that the new purchaser may obtain rights for this season. We will know more by the fall.
  5. I think there is very little chance of that happening. If it does, it's going to be for this season only.
  6. My “from a long ways away” viewpoint on Baker is that he doesn’t appear to be a guy who takes very much accountability when things aren’t going well — very much a “blame and make excuses” guy rather than a “look at myself” guy. Obviously I’ve not been in the locker room so this is just an outsider’s opinion. I think Baker has the talent to be a “decent” NFL QB and have a lengthy career, if he ever learns to adapt and grow as an adult.
  7. Ed Kilgore a bit too “hands-on” in that interview, no?
  8. She’s pretty effing funny. Her “NFL meeting” videos are top drawer. Edit: oh, and I just looked at the Pats*** roster — “strong group?”
  9. INteresting idea. No clue why it isn’t talked about more.
  10. In any other year I’d be at this game with bells on…but the fact I’ll be in LA for W1 and Miami for W3 meant something had to give. I’m sure it will be a blast.
  11. Yeah, sorry, man, I’m always a bit wary of new posters who come in and immediately throw shade. Prove yourself around here a bit before you start making enemies.
  12. It wouldn't be fun at all. It's like saying it would be fun for a preseason game to count in the standings. Coaches would put out entire 2nd/3rd string units. Just awful.
  13. With a 20-0 season I think he locks it up.
  14. I think it's common knowledge the USFL has only one football and after each game it is placed in a lock box for safekeeping.
  15. Great response. And by the way, why are we even comparing Mr. Can't Miss 1st Round Pick to a WR drafted in the 4th round? Gabe Davis is on a great trajectory and there is really nothing that suggests he will not be productive with the expected increase in snaps and targets.
  16. There's no "fairness of the game" in this proposal. You're legislating to teams that they must remove their starters from two meaningful games. I can't believe anyone thinks this is in any way feasible. Blows my mind, really.
  17. Many of you seem to be missing the point. An 18-game schedule with two bye weeks is coming, sooner or later. That's not the point. It's the moronic idea of putting a "cap" on how many games a player can play when every game matters. This isn't MLB, the NBA, or the NHL with their 80+ game schedules. This isn't creating some intriguing "chess match" between coaches, it's a freaking disastrous idea.
  18. Absolutely, and I think Apple, Disney, or Amazon are certainly willing and able to pay. We'll see.
  19. I think that is one reasonable interpretation of Goodell's comments, but it is curious how he phrased it. I still see an opening for the new provider to gain access to this year's schedule.
  20. It really rolls right off the tongue. Well done, Squealers. Edit: whoops, sorry @nucci — didn’t see your post. Great minds…
  21. Please don’t tell me you’re comparing an 80-game season league with a 17-game one and implying “it’s the same thing.” I’ve got nothing against adding another game and another bye week, while reducing the preseason by a game. It makes sense. The idea of limiting how many games a player can suit up, however, is ludicrous, preposterous, egregious, and stupendous.
  22. North Cackalacky
  23. Beats me, I'm not driving.
  24. Look at his screen name and I think you get your answer.
  25. I guess the Birch 18-game plan was @nedboy7's idea.
