This is an oversimplification, but you pass to score points and run to keep defenses honest.
The most important aspect of a good run game is to prevent defenses from keying on the pass, and then to eat clock at the end of games.
You don’t consistently win in the NFL being one-dimensional. Teams that completely ignore the run game do not win championships.
That’s an interesting take, but I’ll stick with Ed. All reports were that he was basically un-blockable during camp. With Von causing disruption, a capable DT playing next to him, and Groot on the other side, I think we’ll see Ed blossom this year.
His OL was an absolute mess last season and he carried the team by becoming more of a runner. He has a legitimate chance to be an average NFL starter…which isn’t terrible.
Holy crap UNC/App State 63-61…in regulation!
You see that score and would think it was a low scoring basketball game…crazy.
Drake Maye looks like another Carolina QB to watch.
I think fans and media truthfully have no idea what is going on at OBD. If Spencer is truly starting then that was always their plan and they purposely eased him back into activity while they had time in camp. The great thing about it is that Quessenberry got a lot of time with the ones so he’s ready if called upon.
