You can get great wings all over WNY but what sets Bar-Bill apart for me is that mini BOW. Best one I've ever had, by a mile. And don't forget a basket of fries.

I like what you're doing here, @Awwufelloff...kudos.

How to organize the new stadium “Wall of Fame”
eball replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nah, that's what highlights and YouTube are for. If a name goes up there and then the person disgraces himself I have no problem with it coming down. Professional sports athletes are role models and objects of public attention whether they like it or not. Now, I suppose the devil is in the details of which transgressions warrant removal, but I think we can all agree that double-murder meets the threshold. -
How to organize the new stadium “Wall of Fame”
eball replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think a Wall of Shame on the opposite end of the stadium would be a nice touch. Russ Brandon can be the initial inductee. -
Marlin the Magician Brisoce - 70s Bill - Passes Away

Before my time but RIP. -
@BuffaloBill the question isn't about which QB is most likely to win a SB...it's about which QB is the "scariest" for defenses to face.
-
I'd wager that if you ask the 32 NFL DCs, today, who they would least like to face -- Allen or Mahomes -- it's either dead even or Josh gets a couple more votes.

Warren Sapp: Kaep Workout With Raiders "A Disaster"
eball replied to Rico's topic in The Stadium Wall
Shocker. Guy who hasn’t played professional football in 6 years struggles. Film at 11. -
YouTubeTV has an unlimited storage virtual DVR, and if you have marked a sporting event for recording but then want to start watching in the middle you get a prompt to “view live” or “start from beginning.” I think there’s also a setting to hide scores.

Club Seats? 200 level, how are these different?
eball replied to Kingston Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’ll add my $.02 here in support of splurging for the club seats — particularly for bringing an elderly relative. Couple of notes, although @Mr Info did a pretty good job: I believe the magic number for your row is between 7-10. You get the full benefit of the overhead heaters but you’re not too far back where you might have some of the auxiliary scoreboards in the corners cut off. Try to get near an aisle. The experience is still immersive in the clubs — you won’t feel removed from the action — and the “creature comforts” are worth it IMO. -
Dude…me too! I was also 10 and my dad took me to this game. Crazy. The first Bills game I really “remember” was the game at Miami in December of ‘76. I’d have been 7. I remember OJ breaking loose for a 75-yard TD but of course the Bills lost.

Nope, was only in GA for about five years. Been in the Chapel Hill area since ‘98.

I was an early adopter of DirecTV because I moved to Atlanta after finishing school and wanted to see the Bills without always going out to a sports bar. That was in the mid-90s. I was satisfied with the service for the most part and agree that reports of outages are overblown. I did, however, get tired of some of their practices in recent years, found their equipment upgrades to be a bit lacking, and I cut the DTV cord in January. I haven’t missed it. If you have a reliable high-speed internet connection (I have Google Fiber) there are no buffering issues with streaming services. We now have YoutubeTV and love it, along with ESPN+, AppleTV, Amazon Prime, Netflix, and HBO Max that comes free with my wireless phone service. I can’t imagine ever going back to cable or satellite. I’m hoping Apple or Amazon get the NFL.

This is a really cool idea. Before the real estate market went crazy I actually thought about buying an apartment downtown to keep, for largely the same reason.

RIP Eddie!

Agreed on this point, however I think it’s very easy to see who’s just a blind homer vs. someone who takes a more optimistic viewpoint. I don’t pay attention to blind homers any more than I do blind pessimists. I’m labeled a homer because I choose to view things through an optimistic lens. I think I’m a generally happy person because of my perspective, particularly when it comes to things over which I have no control. I’m extremely realistic but I hate going down the rabbit hole of realism vs. pessimism because it takes away from why I really come here to participate. I actually think there’s something inherently wrong with someone who wants to criticize a fan for being a fan. “You’re not realistic enough” — so what? We’re fans. And if you’re a Bills fan visiting a Bills fan website, why shouldn’t you be loyal?

Oh, c’mon, Bill, nobody needs to defend old Badol. We know you’ve got a bit of a man crush on him; If he just eased up on his condescending, know-it-all manner he’d get a lot more love around here. Of course the GM both receives the praise and takes the blame for his selections. No GM in the history of football has batted a thousand. I don’t think Beane has shown a propensity to “dig in his heels” and keep players who don’t produce just because he drafted them, but I DO think he understands that some players take a little more time than others. A good GM doesn’t give up on his draft picks too quickly.
