  1. You suggested the the D's level of play would not suffer with Klein replacing Edmunds. Perhaps for a game or two, but over the long haul it would negatively impact them (see: Tre White). Edmunds is one of the players on the Bills' defense opponents actually game plan around. For you to say he "doesn't move the needle" tells me you don't really understand what's going on out there. I get it, he doesn't have a lot of sacks, forced fumbles, or "splash plays" everyone wants to see, but I guarantee he affects what offenses are doing against Buffalo far more than you know. You can talk about "prioritizing" who to re-sign all you want, but implying that Edmunds leaving is one big nothing burger isn't very intuitive.
  2. She won her 1st round match at Wimbledon earlier today.
  3. Sometimes I wonder if you guys watch any other football teams. Edmunds is a “mediocre” player? smh…
  4. Wow. Just wow. Literally, the Bills' opponents consistently talk about how his presence affects what they do. Is he a great run stopper? At this point, no. But your flair for the dramatic statement often leaves you looking a bit foolish.
  5. I don't know how anyone could ever dispute this.
  6. Ok, I found the article. Here's the entirety of Frazier's comments: ------------ “In all of our conversations, it's all about just being himself and playing on a high level, like he always does, and not focus it on the contract part of it, but just going out of control and what you can control,” Frazier said. “He's been a tremendous player for us. He makes a lot of plays. He leads our defense.” In 15 games last season, Edmunds had 108 tackles – seven for loss – and one interception. Frazier sees the natural next step for the former first-round pick. “I think – and he knows this – you want more splash plays,” Frazier said. “You want those big plays in ball games. That play he made against the Texans, the interception he came up with, that was a huge play in that ballgame. It really helped propel us along the way to a really good performance. And more plays like that.” ------------ So now we have some context. I think my original point still stands. Yes, of course, the Bills are hoping Tremaine makes more of the game-changing plays but it is clear they don't believe he has been a "disappointment" thus far in his career.
  7. If he did I missed it, sorry.
  8. Bills fans will always need a whipping boy, no matter how good or how bad the team is. My own belief is that Edmunds has many more responsibilities in the Bills' defense than those "traditionally" associated with a MLB. I don't study the games enough to comment on what others say about his "lack of instincts" but what I see is an athletic, disruptive player who clearly impacts what the opposing offense is trying to do. Edmunds being in the right position to force a QB to throw a pass just slightly differently than he wanted to, resulting in an incompletion, tipped ball, or INT doesn't show up on the stat sheet. I've heard players talk about his enormous "presence" that makes teams have to plan around him. I have not once heard McD or Frazier make the comment "Tremaine needs to make more plays." They've said that about lots of other young defenders. Some want a thumping MLB who stuffs the run. That ain't Edmunds and never will be. Continuing to hope he becomes that is an exercise in futility.
  9. I'd hitchhike, wearing your Bills stuff. You're bound to get picked up.
  10. You can get great wings all over WNY but what sets Bar-Bill apart for me is that mini BOW. Best one I've ever had, by a mile. And don't forget a basket of fries.
  11. I like what you're doing here, @Awwufelloff...kudos.
  12. Nah, that's what highlights and YouTube are for. If a name goes up there and then the person disgraces himself I have no problem with it coming down. Professional sports athletes are role models and objects of public attention whether they like it or not. Now, I suppose the devil is in the details of which transgressions warrant removal, but I think we can all agree that double-murder meets the threshold.
  13. I think a Wall of Shame on the opposite end of the stadium would be a nice touch. Russ Brandon can be the initial inductee.
  14. @BuffaloBill the question isn't about which QB is most likely to win a SB...it's about which QB is the "scariest" for defenses to face.
  15. I'd wager that if you ask the 32 NFL DCs, today, who they would least like to face -- Allen or Mahomes -- it's either dead even or Josh gets a couple more votes.
  16. Shocker. Guy who hasn’t played professional football in 6 years struggles. Film at 11.
  17. YouTubeTV has an unlimited storage virtual DVR, and if you have marked a sporting event for recording but then want to start watching in the middle you get a prompt to “view live” or “start from beginning.” I think there’s also a setting to hide scores.
  18. I’ll add my $.02 here in support of splurging for the club seats — particularly for bringing an elderly relative. Couple of notes, although @Mr Info did a pretty good job: I believe the magic number for your row is between 7-10. You get the full benefit of the overhead heaters but you’re not too far back where you might have some of the auxiliary scoreboards in the corners cut off. Try to get near an aisle. The experience is still immersive in the clubs — you won’t feel removed from the action — and the “creature comforts” are worth it IMO.
  19. Dude…me too! I was also 10 and my dad took me to this game. Crazy. The first Bills game I really “remember” was the game at Miami in December of ‘76. I’d have been 7. I remember OJ breaking loose for a 75-yard TD but of course the Bills lost.
  20. Nope, was only in GA for about five years. Been in the Chapel Hill area since ‘98.
  21. I was an early adopter of DirecTV because I moved to Atlanta after finishing school and wanted to see the Bills without always going out to a sports bar. That was in the mid-90s. I was satisfied with the service for the most part and agree that reports of outages are overblown. I did, however, get tired of some of their practices in recent years, found their equipment upgrades to be a bit lacking, and I cut the DTV cord in January. I haven’t missed it. If you have a reliable high-speed internet connection (I have Google Fiber) there are no buffering issues with streaming services. We now have YoutubeTV and love it, along with ESPN+, AppleTV, Amazon Prime, Netflix, and HBO Max that comes free with my wireless phone service. I can’t imagine ever going back to cable or satellite. I’m hoping Apple or Amazon get the NFL.
  22. This is a really cool idea. Before the real estate market went crazy I actually thought about buying an apartment downtown to keep, for largely the same reason.
  23. Watson had no choice. He can't go to trial 24 (or 26) times. Buzbee can pick his best case (Solis) and ride it out.
