So, I had to share this bit of news with my Bills fan brethren…we had a couple over for dinner on Sunday; really good friends we’ve known for over 15 years. The guy does some college sports broadcasting for the Big 10 network and ESPN. I tell him my wife and I bought tickets and are going out to LA for the opener. He says, “a company I do some work with has a suite at SoFi; let me reach out to them and see what’s up for that game.” Yesterday afternoon, I get cc’d on an email from my buddy to his assistant confirming two tickets in their suite for the game. Needless to say, we’re f***ing pumped!

Cover 1: Josh Allen’s Top 5 Throws from 2021
eball replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just amazing. He really can do things I’ve never seen a QB do before. If he ever actually has a good OL… -
Maybe so, but only in the moment the pick occurs. Even a year later nobody is saying “bottom half of the first round pick Tre White.” He’s a first rounder.

Same Jet sources telling you how great they’d be three years ago?

Have we given up on Isaiah Hodgins?
eball replied to Allen2D̶i̶g̶g̶s̶TBD's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hodgins is a poster child for the NFL truism “the biggest part of ability is availability.” Dude just can’t keep himself in the mix. It’s a shame, really. -
Tyreek Hill says Tua is more accurate than Mahomes
eball replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t understand some players. What’s Tyreek’s angle here? He can pump up Tua without throwing shade at Mahomes. Just doesn’t make sense. I’m not around these guys, obviously, and we know how crazy their egos are, but Tyreek doesn’t seem like a very good person in general. He’s lucky he was blessed with that talent for catching a ball and running fast. -
That would be pretty much the ONLY thing that makes sense.

That makes two of us.

No, I totally get that. They have to move on. My only point is that his comments were not genuine…i.e., he was trying too hard to tell everyone he doesn’t care about that any more...so much so that (at least to me) it’s obvious it still bugs him. Does he think about it every day? Of course not, he has a new job to do. Just my opinion. I played sports enough to understand the “moving on” part of it.

We’re talking around each other. Farwell seems like a decent dude and I hoped he learned from his mistake and will make sure that never again is the freaking kicker not told what the play is. Him saying he “doesn’t think about it at all” is clearly a lie.
-
@GunnerBill I think it’s pretty clear Farwell effed up and McD allowed him to save face. I know some think it was McD’s call to kick it through the end zone but we’d have heard something from somebody if Farwell left because he was “upset” at McD overruling him. Farwell doesn’t want to talk about this because he’s embarrassed it happened and he was responsible. Honestly.

I like SeatGeek. Just make sure you select the “show prices with fees” filter so you aren’t surprised at checkout later.

Aaron Kromer’s 1st interview since returning to Bills as OL coach
eball replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’ve been beating this drum since it was announced. Beach chairs is the most important coaching hire we’ve made in a while. All of you “worriers” about the OL are about to see that Bobby Johnson was a joke.- 81 replies

Major red flag when people use the “to be honest” verbal crutch repeatedly. In my experience it’s typically a sign they are anything but.

Excerpt from Buffalo News article about Farwell’s PC yesterday: ———— Farwell, who took over as Jaguars special teams coordinator 17 days after the Bills' playoff loss, was asked if he was haunted by the end of the game and what he might have done differently. "I get that question all the time," Farwell smiled. "To be perfectly honest with you, it’s in the past. I don’t worry about that. Honestly, my answer to that is that’s a question for the Buffalo Bills and Sean McDermott. It’s in the past. I don’t deal with that, to be honest with you. "That's part of the way I live my life. It’s going forward, and what we’re doing here. I’m loving the guys I work with here. I got a great appreciation for the players there. I had fantastic players, still good friends of mine that I talk to all the time. But down here, I’m trying to build something down here special. That’s what it's about for me. I move on. I honestly don’t think twice about it." ————- Umm, Heath, I “honestly” don’t believe.you. Dolt.

This is either one of the worst attempts at satire I’ve ever read, or I don’t know what to say.

LOL that tweet is hilarious. Translation: I just got shitcanned but I'm trying to make it look like it was my idea!

Your comment still makes no sense.

Agree with everything except I wouldn’t say I “loved” it. It was extremely entertaining and better than I expected. Jennifer Connelly has aged well.

Why would Bills fans boo the Rams raising their banner? They didn’t beat us.

I hear you, and believe me, it would kill me, but watching the game would mean having to root for the QB to make plays. There's no avoiding him. I don't want Deshaun Watson to have an ounce of success in anything, ever, after he has done what he's done and yet stands up and says he has "no regrets." In one deposition transcript I read he had the gaul to say he "doesn't know why he is here." It crosses every line. The day the Bills bring someone like that in is the day I decide sports doesn't matter as much -- at least not the NFL -- until my team wisens up. I'm pulling for the Browns to go 0-17 and hope a wayward drone crashes into the owner's box and disfigures Jimmy Haslem.

Does this Pats fan make sense? 🤔 I HATE to admit I agree with him.
eball replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hi troll -
It's really an impossible hypothetical because this goes against everything Beane and McDermott stand for so it's not even truly hypothetically possible. In order to process this the Bills would need to have different people in charge of the organization. Let's say this happened under Buddy Nix and Chan Gailey. If so, then I do believe I'd turn in my Bills fandom card until Watson was gone. It would kill me to do it, but at some point you've got to look at the human side of things and Watson is clearly a degenerate POS. For the most part I root for the laundry, but I couldn't/can't/won't pull for Watson ever again.

Great, another guy who talks about himself in the 3rd person. Just what eball needs.
