  1. Gee I'd love to have some of that stuff you are smoking.... So there is some intelligent life out there... And don't forget the other excuse - "But there are other holes that need to be filled"... How bout... TT + Both 2018 1st rd picks and our 2019 1st for Cousins... That's one that they might think about...
  2. Not sure you can trade comp picks
  3. If Mitchell is on the board at #10 just take him and be happy....
  4. Maybe in another week or so they will... We can hope...
  5. Some say that Mel Kiper sucks... So?
  6. After he has the "elite" season we are all hoping he has (none of us want to see him fail) and the Bills float that boatload of cash in front of his eyes, he will happily sign the contract offered (assuming it is for fair market value which I am sure it will be - Pegs is no cheapskate after all)
  7. Try answering the question - How many more years do you think EJ was entitled to? Four years not enough? Cmon... Stop blaming the fans and blame EJ himself. He is the one who failed. Fans don't care what color the QB is. He just has to win. BTW - Kelly wasn't all that hot his 1st 2 years here either. And that was after his 2 yrs spent in the USFL. But you could see his growth over time. Fans never saw that from EJ. Neither did his 2 ex-HCs... I don't see him unseating Derek Carr anytime soon either...
  8. Nobody is "casting him aside"... You are making a business decision to make him show you that he can put in a full season before you agree to pay him a boatload of cash... You can always tag him for about 3 million more than picking up the 5th year option right now... If he has an "elite" season this year you sign him to a long term deal... If he has another mediocre season you have a real decision to make... Ultimately he has to stay healthy if he is ever going to achieve "elite" status...
  9. Well, I guess that we will find out which of us is right very shortly... side bet? And who is this mysterious "THEY" you speak of? And I don't believe that the Bills are any less needy at QB as any of these other teams that you might wanna mention... If it's in their interest to draft one of these QB's then isn't it also in the Bills interest to "stay put" and solve their own QB problem? If I was a new HC I'd be very leery about entrusting my coaching future to TT and/or Cardale jones...
  10. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/draft/draft-trade-chart/ That's nonsense... The drop from #10 (1300) down to #25 (720) is 580pts which is the approximate value of the top of the 2nd round (#33) so maybe you get #25 and their 2nd rd pick this year - maybe something next year... certainly NOT their 1st next year... Just NOT going to happen...
  11. The Bills just gave EJ Manuel 4 years to develop into something... How many more years would you like to give him? Taylor and Jones are still on the roster last I looked, so your "melanin" argument doesn't hold water... Also, if I am not mistaken, two of the four QB's talked about as possible draft options (Watson and Kizer) share that same "melanin" condition you spoke of... As I recall Manuel lost his job to Orton when our ex-coach (Marrone) basically demanded that Whaley go out and get him somebody "competent" to play the position... Apparently that wasn't EJ... And if the Bills do go out and draft one of these kids in the 1st round it will be further confirmation that Cardale Jones is not viewed by management as a viable option at QB either... Having a strong arm is no indicator of future success. It's what's inside the QB's head that matters, his dedication to becoming one of the best, and other intangibles... OH, BTW did you know that QB's aren't the only 1st round draft picks that BUST??? Go back to 2013 and see how many other players are still starting for their respective teams...
  12. WE (fans) may not have any accurate idea whether Cardale Jones is any good or not, but by now, the Bills surely must have some idea of his progress (or lack thereof)... These days no rookie QB is ready to start right off the bat... Did Aaron Rogers start his 1st season? That is NOT a good reason to not draft one at #10 if the Bills think that there is someone there who can grow into being their franchise QB... It's called an "investment"... Alot of Non-QB's drafted in the 1st round bust too including supposed superstar WR's and TE's... Research Tony Hunter (TE) for one... You know - the Tony Hunter who was drafted two picks before Jim Kelly back in 1983
  13. Well you got that mostly correct... WHATEVER TEAM is playing the Patriots is the correct answer.... But I at the same time confess to like watching and cheering for Pittsburgh in the playoffs...
  14. Alot of people say Kiper sucks...
  15. I still think there is a good chance that Cleveland works out a trade with N.E. for Garafolo... But if not and if the Bills like Watson/Mahomes as much as or more than Trubisky then trading down with Cleveland for say a 3rd might make sense but how far down could they trade down to assuming they want to walk away with one of the 3 QB's talked about here? All 3 could disappear off the board very quickly. So while the extra pick would be nice, I'd rather just pull the trigger at #10 on whomever they think their franchise QB to be is and be done with it...
  16. HE IS A CONVICTED FELON... What do you think he has been doing for the last several years - CLUE: He has not been vacationing !!! Armed robbery is a crime in case you didn't know....
  17. CONVICTED FELONS DO NOT DESERVE TO BE RECOGNIZED AS ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE POS THAT THEY ARE...
  18. SO - If you have more than one team out there (2-3) that would want to draft a QB at #10, why isn't it a good idea for the Bills to keep the pick and draft that QB themselves?
  19. As much as I am not a big fan of Whaley's, I don't believe that Pegula would give that kind of control to a 1st year HC... And if Pegula was displeased with Whaley to that degree he likely would have fired him along with Rex to begin with... Slow news day for LaCanfora perhaps...
  20. I wouldn't be surprised if only 1 QB was off the board by pick #10... Everything I have heard and or read says Cleveland takes Myles Garrett with the 1st pick... They are also rumored to be hot to acquire Garrapolo from NE... That pretty much leaves SF and NYJ as the other two teams that potentially grab a QB before pick #10... I think we will see only one of them pull the trigger on a QB that early...
  21. NOT AT ALL works for me...
  22. We already did that (mortgaged the future - when we wasted a 2nd #1 on Watkins) At least now The Bills would have a CHANCE at getting a franchise QB... Nothing Ventured - Nothing Gained, No Risk - No Reward, need I go on? And how about all those other wasted Bills #1 draft picks who busted - this would be no worse... ALL DRAFT PICKS ARE EQUALLY CAPABLE OF BUSTING.... There is NO BIGGER NEED....
  23. I don't think all 4 have the same "value" on the Bills draft board... Assuming that Monos, Whaley and McDermott all have a say with possible further input (not interference but another opinion in the room) from Pegula, it stands to reason that a consensus will create a "favorite". If one QB stands out to the Bills "braintrust" (sarcasm on) and he becomes available at #10 you take him there and don't f**k around. On the other hand if say Mahomes actually becomes the "favorite" and you think you can trade down and still be reasonably sure to get him OK (but u better be right - there are 31 other teams out there, many of whom need a QB too)
  24. Get your QB of the future in Rd 1... If you can trade down abit and still get the guy you want fine... Get your CB/WR in rds 2 and or 3... If you can trade down and pick up an extra 2nd or high 3rd that gives you even more flexibility... Until TT can show that he is even capable of integrating Clay (our 7mill/yr TE) into the offense it's just plain silly to talk about drafting yet another TE...
