  1. THIRTEEN YEARS OF NO PLAYOFFS.... That's why they don't want to come here...
  2. If he were to start and play the entire season, What would a "successful" season look like for EJ? Wins, TD's/Int's, Yds...
  3. And people wonder why the Bills never make the playoffs...
  4. This team has too much to prove before I would go higher than 6 wins... Rookie HC's don't have much of a track record setting the NFL on fire in their rookie seasons... Same holds true for rookie QB's... Will Wood stay healthy? Will they resign Byrd?
  5. EJ might just make this team watchable again... That in itself is a good starting point... The Sports Science segment on EJ on YouTube is amazing... It has to be seen... http://youtu.be/FOLEMyMkDdU
  6. Buddy may have finally gotten it right....Let's all hope so...
  7. Peters was UNDERPAID... If you go back and check, Peters was signed to play RT and then got shifted to the LT position. On top of that the Bills you might recall brought in a pair of stupidly expensive players. (LG-Derrick Dockery at 7.5 Million/yr and RT-Langston Walker at 5 Million/yr) If it were you, how would you have liked playing next to a stiff like Dockery who was actually being paid more than you?? Hopefully, the Bills don't screw this negotiation up like they did the Peters situation...
  8. Wait till you see the PSLs...
  9. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/05/01/criticism-of-geno-smith-mounts-after-the-draft/ Apparently, Geno Smith must have rubbed alot of people the wrong way....
  10. If the Bills sign him, I'll like it... Wouldn't get my hopes up just yet though...
  11. Both these guys would be good choices at #8... Barkley started all 4 years in HS and then again all 4 yrs at USC... His OLine problems were talked about on Gruden's QB camp... Personally, I will not be disappointed with either Barkley or Nassib... Each one seems to have the necessary skill sets to succeed...
  12. He actually looked reasonably intelligent on Gruden's show... I think he'll be good in the right system... Phil would be a good landing place for him... Maybe Oakland...
  13. The whole idea of trading Byrd is nonsense. I doubt Pettine would be in favor of getting rid of one of his best young players on defense. A ballhawking playmaker at that... The Bills will sit down after the draft and workout a long term deal with Byrd's agent...
  14. Barkley or Nassib might last till #16 but not #23
  15. Based on what Buddy said to John Murphy, Buddy obviously thinks that there are at least two (2) Franchise QBs in this draft... and some other good QBs as well... QB in the 1st rd - bank on it...
  16. The Guy we just traded for??? Or do you mean the FA we just signed? The media is frequently being fed disinformation by the various NFL teams to mask their true feeling about players they may be interested in taking...
  17. What you said is partially true. Successful teams have to make these value decisions all the time... And they couldn't/shouldn't pay Levitre $7-8 Million per year... BUT... I don't see that "REPLACEMENT" you mentioned... On a related note, I find it interesting to see so many of my fellow TBD posters espousing the idea of drafting Chance Warmack, another Guard, to replace Levitre... Wasn't drafting Levitre a mistake in itself because he is ONLY a guard (and therefore not worth $7-8Million per year) and now we want to replay that same mistake by again drafting a lowly unimportant position like OG in the 1st round? You can't have it both ways folks... You simply can't demean the OG position by saying "we can always draft one in the lower rounds" (ESPECIALLY with Buddy's track record so far...) and if you are advocating draft Warmack you are setting yourself up for another failure down the road like Levitre... A good GM would also have worked out a cheaper long term deal with Levitre last year and not wait till the last minute when you know his price is going to be significantly higher...
  18. Assuming no trade down, take the best QB at #8 and the best remaining WR at #41... I have no idea who the best QB is but it wouldn't totally shock me if the 1st QB off the board is not named Smith... I can't wait for draft night...
  19. http://www.wgr550.com/Buscaglia--NFL-Mock-Draft--3/15912749 Check out Joe Buscaglia's 3rd Mock Draft at GR55...
  20. I actually like the new format and after the top 3 rds it's even more of a crap shoot...
  21. It's interesting that the Bills haven't announced his signing yet officially...
  22. SMITH OR BARKLEY AT #8.... You can't thumb you nose at the top 2 QBs in the draft...
  23. He'll make a good backup QB who can give you decent play for 4-5 games if necessary in case of injury... He'll never see 13 million... My guess is 3-4 million per year --- that is backup pay...
  24. It's hard to judge a receiver based solely on his rookie season... Eric Moulds sucked for his first two-three years before blossoming.... Then again, Jerry Butler seemed headed for stardom in his rookie season... Some guys just take a little longer to develop.... Some just suck - like Ruvell Martin...
