I'm not sure what a "large" sum of money is these days either. And Let's all remember that the agent is making a good buck off these guys and then uncle sam wants his cut too... a lot of rookies never get that second "big" contract either... Does anybody know how much 2nd and 3rd and 4th rounders make in their rookie deals anymore? I am sure the money drops off rather quickly after the 1st round... And these are 20 somethings who want to enjoy life - who wouldn't spend abit on frivolous things... especially young kids who never had much of anything before... I can understand this much easier than a guy who goes out and fathers 9 kds with 7 different women....

Wasn't Stephen Jones just boasting to Mo Claiborne how he should be more like Witten and play through the pain/injury? Maybe Stephen Jones needs to stop "Jinxing" his team and keep his mouth closed....

Some of us knew he sucked all along - and said so - to anybody who cared to listen. What's scary (for Eagles fans especially) is that the eagles were desperate enough to sign him in the first place...

I believe at least one well known mock has him going to the Dolphins in Rd #2 - just after we pick... His age is a big minus though....

I think it may be more of a $$$ issue here... Ralph just spent $17mil a season on a DE... Wallace is asking for close to that from whoever signs him/trades for him... It's much cheaper to draft one...

I think we need to draft both a WR AND an OT... Just not sure in which order... And I have serious doubts about whether Blackmon/Floyd will even still be on the board at #10... I am interested to see what Buddy does... His first draft sucked (0 starters so far) last years draft was very good... At least at #10 Buddy has the "pick of the litter" to choose from of the OT's mentioned... If Floyd were still available he'd have the capability to package picks #2 and #3 to try to move back into the mid 20's perhaps and pick up one of the OT's still left... It will be interesting to see what he does... Hopefully, no RB surprises....

Correction: We need a STARTER at LT - Depth is what Chris Hairston is about to become. I do in fact like Hairston - long term - as a RT and Swing Backup T... Let's face facts - Buddy's 1st Draft still has ZERO starters... Last years draft was a vast improvement and may result in 3 starters very soon... (Dareus, Aaron Williams and Sheppard) with Hairston in a key backup role... For the record, I don't see either Blackmon or Floyd even being there at #10...

WELL SAID! I couldn't agree more... Gil Brandt and Tex Schramm were the epitome of what a FO is all about... They didn't get to be "America's Team" for nothing... And the fact that he is the ONLY Guru who has won a Super Bowl says it all...

The only realistic trade would be between Miami/Cleveland and Minnesota to bag Tannehill... Khalil simply isn't worth the price you'd have to pay IMHO...

I had that same thought. My guess would be that you would have to cough up your highest pick (assuming you had two in the 1st round) and am sure the trading for extra picks would not be allowed either... Be nice if you could though! But I like the idea and wouldn't mind coughing up the pick with the exeption that I think He is asking for too much $$$. Is he worth more than Fitzgerald???
