  1. I say we worry more about drafting a good outside LBer in the first round. Fitz can run this show for the next 5 years if he stays healthy...
  2. I can recall alot of QB's with "rocket arms" who couldn't read defenses for sh*t. I'll take Fitz anyday...
  3. Whether or not Stevie's hit played a significant role in causing the ACL injury to Berry is debatable. The fact that the block was entirely legal and used by probrably every team in the NFL should be enough to end any controversy. And Stevie has no track record of being known as a dirty player either. It was an unfortunate injury for sure. But cmon, how many other ACL injuries have already taken place this season... If Berry's knee had been injured/weakened by Johnson's block how much of the responsibility goes on the Chief's trainers for letting him back on the field?
  4. There is simply no comparison between this years OL and that of 1998 for example... Both John Fina and Ruben Brown were 1st round draft picks. No one on this years line was picked anywhere near that high... Ruben went to multiple Pro Bowls... Nobody on today's OL has any realistic chance of going to the ProBowl... 1998 for example had Moulds and Reed as WRs... Today we have "Mr God, Why Did You Do Me Like That?" and nobody else who is proven... Stop drinkin the Kool Aid....
  5. BILLS ARE 0-0.... Yeah, and so are all 32 NFL teams... Big F***kin Deal.... AND BESIDES YOURSELF, WHO ELSE HAS SAID THE BILLS ARE GOING TO GO 0-16??? SO TAKE THAT CRYSTAL BALL, TURN IT SIDEWAYS(OR ANY OTHER WAY), AND ..... BY THE WAY, JUST FOR THE RECORD, YOUR PREDICTION FOR THE BILLS SEASON IS????
  6. WE'RE MISERABLE???? TRY "WE HAVE A MISERABLE FOOTBALL TEAM; ESPECIALLY THE FRONT OFFICE".... First of all, I've been making this same argument for weeks now. Nobody around here has the kahones to answer the question. But you left out one thing. HOW MANY SEASONS HAVE THE BILLS BEN ABLE TO DRAFT 3 NFL CALIBER STARTERS IN ONE OFFSEASON?
  7. Believe me, God wouldn't want to be connected with this football team...
  8. The question I raised, was based on the writer's observation that our OL is basically incapable of giving Spiller what he needs to be successful (play in space was the writer's terminology). So if the writer was correct, it makes Spiller a wasted draft pick. Sorry, if the truth hurts... Bulaga was starting by mid-season. He was drafted with the idea that he would takeover eventually for Chad Clifton, the Packers Starting LT. I don't know about you, but I would prefer an every down OT whether LT or RT over a RB who will be spending significant amounts of time on the bench again this season from the looks of it... Many of us wanted Bulaga at the time of the draft. So this is NOT hindsight as you are implying. I can remember Buddy saying right after Spiller was drafted that Spiller would "create excitement". Does "create excitement" = SELL TICKETS? I'd rather have an every down player than a 3rd down RB... How much "excitement"/tickets has Spiller created/sold??? It's interesting to note that as of today, NOT ONE of Buddy's picks from last year is starting... NOT ONE.
  9. Fill me in, please. I'm all ears... Exactly what IS your perception of "REALITY" here??
  10. Sounds like picking Spiller instead of an OL like Bulaga was a mistake then, NO?
  11. Just remember they actually finished beneath us in the final standings... and most of the other teams with bad OL didn't finish much higher in the standings as well... In general we all fit under the category of BAD TEAMS....
  12. Actually, I don't remember seeing anything but some speculation that perhaps Lee might have asked for a trade. If you have a source/link on this please post it for all of our benefit or else admit that you don't know this for a fact and are just speculating... Even if Lee was simply a midlevel player or avg player, that is no reason to get rid of him until a viable replacement/improvement is available. Right now we don't know whether we have a viable replacement on hand...
  13. Free Agency? You mean like Cornell Green? But gee, Free Agency costs money....
  14. This team has no chance of going 4-0. What kind of DRUGS are you taking? Did you not see the Patriots DESTROY the Jags 47-12 and the next week DEVASTATE the Bucs 31-14?? Not that the Bills have ever played very well in KC for starters... And Oakland isn't looking too shabby either... Yeah, The Bills should beat Cinci but that ain't saying much... My prediction is 1-3, 2-2 unlikely though possible... I agree though that the Bills let themselves get "played" by Clabo... Question for you... Why would a GM not make offers to 4 or 5 players (OT's) at once to "weed out" those who are not really serious?? Guys like Doug Free, Marshall Yanda (He can play G or T allegedly), both young improving players by the way, the kind you can biuld around... There were other OT's and Guards as well... What does this say about your GM?? Do you think other teams put Pears, Wrotto and Urbik on waivers for no good reason??? The answer is they S*CK! And Merriman is trying to come back from an extremely serious injury that has ended the careers of countless players... I wish him well too, but statistically the odds are not that good... It's difficult to make any assumptions about his play. You can hope for the best but there are no guarantees for sure...
  15. So anyone who is not a "GAME CHANGER" however you might define it must go???? I got a news flash for you! Most players in the NFL are not "GAME CHANGERS"... You need what I might call "mid-level" players (good - but not great, would be my definition) and Lee was certainly that... I don't mind replacing Evans when you bring in a BETTER player, for sure... But none of these guys have come even close to doing that... And while I like this years draft, none of last year's picks is even close to starting yet... Troup and Carrington appear to have promise... Spiller hasn't earned anything yet and that is indeed disturbing... I think we can all agree that an improved OL would make evaluating Fitz, Spiller, Brad Smith as well as our young receivers much easier...
  16. WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! --- THERE IS NO FLOOR THIS YEAR OR NEXT YEAR ---
  17. Perhaps, if the Sabres win the Stanley Cup this year Terry will set his sights on Winning a SuperBowl or Two.... That may be our Best Hope...
  18. THE MONEY!!!! THat's Why!!! Beats working as a Greeter at Walmart....
  19. And they surely are as well... But as the article clearly points out, 2011 and 2012 are nothing more than opportunities for the owners of these franchises to make a killing financially... And as Jerry Sullivan's recent article pointed out, the Bills have not been spending up to their own "cap" for several years now... Is there ever a time NOT to try to improve your team? This article mentions that each team is getting $125M this year in TV money. The Bills are somewhere between 25-30 million or more, under this right now. That spells "NOT TRYING TO WIN"... I won't waste my money on a team that is NOT TRYING TO WIN... Maybe it makes YOU happy to stuff Ralph's pockets with cash... NOT ME...
  20. Nobody is asking for a Dan Snyder, or a "Dream Team" approach but a couple of NFL capable OT's is not asking too much IMO. All Nix has done is pick up a few waiver wire pieces of garbage. And then there was last year's trade for Cornell Green... We all remember how well that turned out...
