Dareus sent home for violating a team rule

I agree but I think there's a potential cost for taking this type of action. -
Dareus sent home for violating a team rule

First thank you for your service. This is excellent information. I'm going to try one more time to clarify then I'll let it go. I believe 100% in discipline and accountability and every single thing you say in your post. Sending him home is something totally different than accountability. It's public embarrassment. That's next level stuff. It's the ultimate FU in this particular situation - because he can't be cut/traded and can't quit. It's way beyond smart and strong when every major NFL outlet including the bottom ticker on every sports channel I've been to today is showing it. This goes beyond structure and there's some players that won't be behind such a public lashing - when there's money involved and the ability to protest is real. -

What's your point? I already said that. -
Dareus sent home for violating a team rule

Of course he can, I just think the effectiveness will only work if you win. I guess if you think BB coached with the same clout before his first NFL game - then you'd be right, but I doubt we could know that answer. When you win you can become more and more demanding because your results support it. It's the great benefit of having one of the greatest QB's in history. I think sending Dareus home was a bad decision. -

I think he's losing the room, that's why I said that. You can't build winning culture until you win. I'm not defending Dareus, he's an absolute idiot. When you have not one single game in the NFL - you walk a thin line being 100% hard a$$. You didn't keep it in house, you sent him home, to make a statement. If you lose the players will turn on you hard and it'll be over quick. I think his lack of experience could cost him huge if he doesn't win. Right now we look terrible, except the run and he just made a fool out of one of our best run stoppers. I'm not saying he didn't deserve punishment but Sean, IMO, created a controversy he may soon live or die with. I'd rather he eased into the culture turnaround to be honest. I think it gives him the best chance to keep the team together. I'd rather one of my best players be late for a meeting than all these penalties. Stop with the Belichick comparison. If you don't have his clout, no, you can't do the same things he does. -

I have no idea why but I get the feeling we have two young men running the organization and may not know what the heck their doing. -
Give up McCoy for a player in a contract year? I don't think so. If you want the Bills interest, you better come with draft picks.

I think these young execs are learning a lesson tonight, no doubt. If it's a tank, I'm all for it. In other words, I hope they are doing this on purpose. The end better justify the means. -
Youngsters are learning a valuable lesson today. They won't sleep well at all.

well...forget about that 3rd round comp pick
White Linen replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We'll use him until we are either out of the playoff hunt by week 10 (likely) or we'll keep him if he plays better than what a 3rd round pick is worth. Pretty simple. -

So don't waste picks and FA money on offensive weapons until you have a great QB? Now that's funny, really funny. -
McDermott called Kromer and asked if he would be interested in staying on. Kromer said I'm actually trying to find a spot where I have an opportunity to move up in the ranks to coordinator and I'm getting several offers of more than 100K compared to my salary here - even as an O line coach. McDermott understood and started contacting Castillo.

A. Rehkow released, J. Croom waived / TE and S signed

Neither of these two players have ever had as much as a parking ticket. -
Who are your top 10 O line coaches?

Tyrod is definitely not the worst QB in the NFL and he's also no where near the worst QB the Bills have ever deployed. However, to me, what he's showing is that he's not getting better and therefore isn't the answer. It's painful to say this but we're going to have to wait yet again for our answer at QB. I like what I see from Petterman so it's either he develops into our guy or see what transpires at draft time.

I'm a firm supporter of having a post total threshold before being able to start a thread.

8-14: Bills' GM Brandon Beane on WGR
White Linen replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As we all know the problem is finding that allusive QB in the draft and if you're not high enough - what's it going to cost? You then have to unload some serious picks and pray that he's the guy. If he is, drafting and player acquisition gets a heck of a lot easier. I just want us to get lucky and have one soon. Until then I'll root for the team to do well but with that thought constantly in my head. I'll hope Peterman is our guy until proven otherwise. -

I think culture is important and all coaches go after it - albeit in different ways but they all know how necessary it is. The issue is that culture is only sustained from winning. An example of this was the last several episodes of "All Or Nothing" on amazon with the Rams. Fisher and his staff tried everything to keep these guys up after starting 3-1. It was depressing watching that team slide mentally. Culture will come if this coaching staff gets the players to reasonably believe in what their doing now, they game plan well and then they have to win. -
Greatest WR you've seen in your lifetime

You don't see Owens in that same conversation with Moss - for almost the same reasons? Their stats are nearly identical and I'd put Owens in that physical freak category too.
