  1. I think he may still sign with us also. I'd guess that they had a conversation about what role they'd like him to play and he may be thinking about where he feels he fits in to what the Bills had to say. Then he's probably thinking about whether he'd like to take that opportunity or wait for another. I heard on the WGR an interview with a Detroit guy that stated he played 100% from the slot. So to me it comes down to do the Bills think Zay can learn enough and get enough playing time at the same spot they may foresee Zay getting time at - slot. I'm not saying Zay won't be an outside guy but I'm thinking Holmes or Streater will win the outside spot this year - then they'd like to work Zay in at slot. I'm sure that's what Boldin's questions where. Where do you see me in the offense?
  2. Normally I would agree with this post and the don't overpay approach. However on a one year deal - to overspend by 1-2 mil shouldn't be the reason not to sign a vet if the need is big enough. My hunch is the conversation is about what role does each side foresee and does that role help or delay Zay Jones. When you're dealing with a vet on a one year deal - the team knows what kind of salary he's expecting long before he comes in to visit. I can't imagine a scenario where the Bills were thinking 2.5 mil and he wants 7 - then both sides say "holy crap, we're not doing that" - then the player leaves.
  3. I'm with you 3rd. I think he's the kind of player that would help Sammy get free, Zay grow instead of being pushed into a certain role and he'll help Tyrod as a safety valve - also will probably help Tyrod go through progression.
  4. It doesn't look like he wants it from what 20 seconds of footage? Good grief!
  5. Tyrod's numbers didn't change all that much with or without Sammy and we went 5 and 3 - so that should tell you a lot more about Tyrod than Sammy. Sammy Watkins, IMO, is an immensely talented 24 year old. Anyone that says a team is better without him on the field - you should, without hesitation, stop listening to another word they say.
  6. That's awful. I hate hearing about a suicide. It always makes me wish I could have some time with any of these folks before they do this. Not that I'm some great person or anything but every single time - I just wish I could have tried to help.
  7. The majority of the people on this board haven't even commented in this thread - let alone are "butt hurt". You're not even close on yet another assumption. That's where you, the other fringe, comes in (see where you are now?) You broad stroke every fan into your little hate painting. There's an equal amount shaking their head not commenting to you. You're an angry troll spitting BS towards the people you think are "butt hurt". You think you're the smart one having a one up on them but the majority is laughing at you in the same vein.
  8. There's two fringes. The ones that actually take his comment overly serious and those that think everyone is taking it overly serious. In between is the majority that think it's just funny when an athlete posts something stupid and then when fans give him some jazz back. You hate everything Buffalo so you'll never get that and you will never see you're the fringe.
  9. This is what small minded people think that can't take a joke. You'll never see that you look as foolish as the people that did take actual offense and get mad.
  10. I equally don't get why people get so upset when fans give players a little ribbing when they post something like this. Who cares that Buffalo fans are giving him some exaggerated crap over the tweet? Of course there might be some fans taking it way too seriously but it's funny reading or hearing about the banter.
  11. At first I was like Kirby has lost his mind - but I get you now. Good stuff!
  12. I'm not sure if you're referring to people outside of NC considering it the South or the folks from here. I can tell you the people here definitely consider themselves southerners.
  13. I'm not understanding what your saying. Why are you saying NC isn't the south?
  14. I think we'll find a way to win 9 games this year.
  15. They only play 16 regular season games and there's no way 8-11 would win the division anyway.
  16. I love having this guy on our team. I hope we sign him to a long deal.
  17. Really surprised at this "youngish" post from you.
  18. I grew up in the Southtowns too (Orchard Park Rd) - John and Mary's subs, oh man were they good. I'm guessing they used Costanzo's bread.
  19. I could have sworn there were more teams
  20. I agree it's tough to predict but there's some real professional QB's and Head coaches in there that make me a bit more concerned than most years.
  21. Maybe so - then I'd suppose you'd put them in the "toss up" column. It just seems like less - should win games this year, is my point.
