Tell us what you really think, Shady...

The problem with freedom of speech and expression isn't the right to do so - it's understood everyone has the right. It's about understanding the notion of should you. -
Bills Kicker speaks about inequality
White Linen replied to MAJBobby's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Nicely said (see my signature). Society can't get people out of every predicament and it can't right every wrong situation. We've spent billions of dollars on education, financial help and healthcare in the minority and poor communities. It has helped very little especially per dollar spent. "I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. In my youth I traveled much, and I observed in different countries, that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer." - Ben Franklin We should measure welfare's success by how many people leave welfare, not by how many are added. I really don't understand what minorities want. -
Bills Kicker speaks about inequality

Of course it still exists. However it's never mentioned that things are better and that minorities have more opportunity to get out of their situation now then ever in history. This is partly because a lot of minorities have seen this and taken advantage of it and that white people have changed. The problem is that as things have gotten better there has also been more and more freedom to express displeasure by minorities without persecution (good thing). However those voices of displeasure have overshadowed and drowned out the good work America has done in this area. So when a non minority keeps getting beat down as if we do so very very little it's frustrating and it leads to wanting to do less. Non minorities have to incessantly admit their faults while minorities rarely have to admit theirs. It's not acceptable to be a white bigot publicly in America (good thing)- however you can be a bigot as a minority with little backlash. White people have been forced to accept this change in our culture. Some accept it with compassion and others accept it only because it's forced. I do believe that if minorities accepted more responsibility for their part - white people in equal numbers would change their hearts. -
Sammy has elite talents and Woods is a decent receiver. The question is are they the right duo to spend 23 million on? Time will tell but the Rams did the right thing because in order to save their young QB it's what they should do. Tavon and waiting on a rookie might have ruined Goff's career. I will say that comparing tonight's game and ours against Carolina is really bizarre. A Goff lead offense would get crushed by the Panthers.

Whoa: A. Hernandez most severe case of CTE ever
White Linen replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I believe CTE is a real thing and has serious effects. I do think it's nearly impossible to pinpoint that it caused you to do a singular act. -
Genie: I will grant you one wish but you can't ask to live forever. Person: Ok, then I'd like to live until the Buffalo Bills win a Super Bowl. Genie: Damn it

Hey maybe if we put a riddle above - and an answer below our ingredients people won't notice the corn syrup, sugar, palm oil and malic acid in our product.
-
You undervalue the effort and exertion it takes to play against a tough defense - regardless of the ineptitude of the teams offense.
-
Yeah our defense looks pretty easy to play against, so....

What side? There's literally two receivers wide open simultaneously in the middle of the field. He was actually trying to run away from this pocket - and people say he's forced out of the pocket. He runs immediately after the first read and it doesn't matter whether the first read is open or not. It's almost like he's not even really looking to pass to the first read but fake it so he can just take off running.

I agree with this.... I think he can own both teams. -
Barnidge may finally sign with a team

Often times when players don't go to camp they stink it up, at least for the first game or two, then often times you see them get injured too. He may have saved himself some discomfort from being away from a comfy home and dealing with camp. I still think it's important to get with a team and know the cadence and what's going on to play well when changing teams/coaches. -
I think it's reasonable that coming back from an injury had something to do with his snap count.
-
Of course he was, you can't double team a player every snap but he handled the double team. He got penetration at 11:19 of the 2nd and abuses the O lineman at 3:04 in the 3rd - and he definitely contributed to Blokes example up thread. The 1/2 yard line is always to the offenses advantage and Dareus wasn't blown off the line but he did get pushed back a yard - and he was doubled up. Now at the 12:45 mark of the 4th - that's getting blown up.

I get that they have a job to do and sometimes you have to press to get a true answer. There is a point though that the audience whom you're supposed to be getting the answers for - reject that type of probing and now it's just what you want to do as a media member. The media in general no longer an advocate for the public they report to. Get the heck out of the room Vic and stop trying to be a negative force on the team I love. You're sure as heck not doing what I want you to. Even if you hate Dareus - after a division win with a first time head coach in the first game, do you really want the media in there screwing with a player like that in the locker room?
-
Yeah that would be true if you had a shred of evidence that it was, but you don't. I have no idea what his true thoughts are but he answered the question that he's ok with the rotation and will believe in the coaches that they want players fresh during the game, in the 4th quarter and end of season. Could it be that he's just fine and is calculating his per snap pay? Ok, sure. Could it be and more likely that he's a player returning from injury and they wanted to work him in within the rotational philosophy?
-
What a totally misleading thread title. He didn't say I don't care. He was carefully answering questions that were clearly trying to bait him into saying he's upset about the snap count. He answered the questions properly and handled himself nicely. He's a heck of a player and isn't out of shape. He's a menace and played pretty damn good in that game.
