  1. Actually, the big thing to watch that game would be the running of Fred taylor. If our front 4 cannot contain him, we will have a long day.
  2. The BIG Reason we beat them that day, was due to the PASS RUSH. We had Brady on his ass on the RWS turf for 3 hours and that was good enough for us to win. I also think it was the first game for TKO as a Bills player.
  3. That is all he can afford with the salary given by Mr. Scrooge.....
  4. To Cap it Edwards beat him on the Win column in head-to-head matchup.
  5. Agreed...In fact the 1992 Redskins which broke many records, including the Bills back in super bowl XXVI did not make it to that list.
  6. Or reunite with his QB at Chicago...Chicago is also looking at Plaxico...It might be easier for signing Plaxico since there will be no compensation. Also, this may be due to fear in the Broncos players that McDaniels will institute the same policy of not paying players at market value and asking them to play for much less, use the team-first concept as a broker for a lower pay....It worked for Belichek because they were winning....
  7. Here in lies the problem for the Bills.... You build from the front and from the inside......My building blocks on the D starts with Marcus Stroud.......Schoeble, Maybin On Offense, it starts with the Center.....We go as far as how much push we get in the run game... The real piece of this puzzle is going to be Walker.
  8. I don't think it is confidence in the new OL as much as not much confidence in the past line. We needed to make changes to a line that did not have any push up front for the running game, Peters included.
  9. Bingo...This is clearly to send a message that no one's place on the team is guaranteed. Players must earn their spot and pay check.
  10. It is a shame considering that the Rams were given a brand new stadium for moving from LA.....I hope the NFL can keep the Rams where they are.
  11. Agreed..The only way we could have kept him was to have made him the DC the previous year instead of keeping him as an assistant. It was a shame to have had Jerry Gray run that defense, when the mastermind was Lebeau as evidenced by the defense. If LeBeau was our DC, we win that game against the Steelers the next season and probably have a shot at the playoffs.' And LeBeau went to Pittsburgh and created a great defense that won two championships in 4 years for the Steelers.
  12. And yet he choked when it mattered.....Against Cleveland he could have had the winning points if he makes a FG that was shorter than what Dawson nailed......Especially considering it was a home game for the Bills.... I saw Lindell hit the game winning kick two years ago in Washington....but that is the only game winner I remember.
  13. I thought so too...However, if you go back to the games that Josh Reed missed, Parrish was not that good in the slot. May be Edwards doesn't trust Parrish yet, but there was no improvement in production in the slot. When Reed came back, he had one of his best games against Denver catching 8-9 passes.
  14. I believe the coaching staff held back Johnson in the hopes of Hardy blossoming in the 1st 10-12 games of the season. With hardy's season ending injury, Johnson got his chance in the last 4 games and he came away with 2 TDs.
  15. What stuck me last year was his two TD catches....He made it look so easy....
  16. This guy seems to have something special. I hope he builds that big long term partnership with Lee Evans.... The last quote of the Mandatory OTA was fantastic to see. The best catch of the day was a long Gibran Hamdan pass down the right sideline to Steve Johnson. The ball threaded safety Ko Simpson and cornerback Ashton Youboty, and Johnson made a great leaping grab to stay inbounds.
  17. Edwards was injured in the 49ers game and was pulled at half time and then missed the next two against the Dolphins and the Jets before coming back to the Denver game. I do not attribute his injury except the concussion against Arizona to the OL....It is just that he gets nicked at the wrong time :-(
  18. The problem is, it is a poor comparison....The Bills play in the rugged AFC East, with great 3-4 defenses.....The Cardinals limped to a 8-8 finish in the softest division in football the NFC West...The Bills will never have that kind of prolific offense due to the opponents and the weather in Buffalo. I hope we can be compared more to the Super Bowl Champions the Steelers....Good QB, Good WRs and Good RBs...They had a very average OL last year, but the QB and the great defense willed their team to a championship.
  19. And he had STeve McNair entering his 4th season as the QB....Go figure...The team needs to have stability at the QB position and the OL to have success.
  20. I don't think it makes sense to pay CBs top money unless they are really the top 2-3 players in the league...Clements was a tremendous corner, but was he the top 2-3 at his position...The answer is no...The Pats never pay big for the CBs... The model of picking the top CBs in the draft will be gone, if Jauron is not successful here and is booted out. Unless we get another cover 2 coach, who knows what they would be interested in.
  21. We were already pretty bad....How much worse can they get. I don't expect these guys to come in and turn it around..>There are growing pains....I believe the draft was all about finding players with attitude, players wanting to win (Not a Jason Peters)....I believe these players will come in and change the attitude in the clubhouse...Sure it will take time, but eventually they will be taking over.
  22. Isn't getting into Niagara Falls a major bottlneck as far as the highways are considered. Unless the Bills can get a plan where you could see the Niagara (or at least feel its mists) Falls from this new statdium, building in NF does not make sense. Also, people who live in Buffalo would know better. Does Niagra get more lake effect snow than Buffalo ?
  23. You nailed it....I thought Larry was going to say something interesting about Parrish.....Yawn
  24. Interestingly, Felser picked the players in the current team who have had disputes with the team....This is a way too one-sided editorial. Sure the Bills could have re-signed Peters if they chose to. The question was if Peters wanted to really sign a contract and be aware of the small-market nature of buffalo. Crowell showed a lack of respect for his team when he suddenly chose to opt for the surgery. Sure, everyone needs to do what is in their best interest, but football is the ultimate team game and requires everyone on the team to be aware of it. By doing what he did, he put the Bills suddenly in a huge hole in its LB corps. What do you expect the Bills to do ? Larry is way off the target...Teams release players for different reasons...Even the big Belichek let go of Lawyer Milloy only to see him and the Bills beat up the Pats 31-0....However the Pats had their last laugh when they went on to win the SB. Also including Pat Williams or Winfield in the equation is stupid....It had nothing to do with this regime.
