  1. Good post. Right now everything looks aligned and settled except for the #2 WR position. It is wide open. The good thing is that if Johnson is double teamed, Fitz can still go to Chandler. Chan should still figure a way out to get Spiller at wide out. He repeatedly beat the defender on those fly out patterns....Unfortunately, Fitz threw some horrible balls on those plays. This team is filled with weapons. Now it is up to the coaching staff to get it right. May be they could make a play for Braylon Edwards who is still out in FA.
  2. The descriptions cracks me up sometimes... His arm strength is a question mark and his overall size and strength will need to be developed at the next level to compete. And he is listed at 6' 4" and 215lbs How many QBs in the NFL are taller than 6' 4" and how many weight beyond 215 lbs. If he is an accurate QB, then it would be helpful. In the NFL, it is all about moving the chains. You don't need to be throwing 50yard bombs every time.
  3. Though Bruce's coaching of STs has been pretty pedantic. May be the time has passed by for Bruce. Bruce was the best in the 90s and Bobby April was 2nd to none in the 2000s. We may need a more stronger ST coach in the future.
  4. They picked 2 CBs and no safeties in the draft. Does McGee get cut or move to Safety. The problem is that he would only be good for being a FS, but Byrd has that spot locked up. Where does this leave McGee
  5. Wood's natural position is CENTER and he was outstanding there protecting and giving a pocket for Fitz. Once Wood was injured Fitz game went south. Wood at Guard experiment should not be repeated. Urbik is good at RG and this team did a good job of gelling together before the rash of injuries. Levitre/Wood/Urbik is one big interior line.
  6. There is not much difference between Glenn, Adams or Martin. The Bills should be able to get either one of those in that 2nd round. That leaves them thin at WR and OLB.
  7. DeCastro to the Steelers must be the biggest coup of this draft./....The best Interior lineman falls to the already rich Steelers....Him and that Center will make a lethal combination to run the ball. To make it worse, the Steelers were on a roll to take Hightower and out of the draft...and now he falls to the Patriots....The Patriots just made their Run defense better.
  8. And yet they went after Peyton Manning very hard and were willing to give him a lifetime contract. If Locker was so good, then why would you bury him down as your 3rd QB
  9. I am not sold on Reiff. He is a guard. I want to stop the Dick Jauron experiment of getting out-of-position players and pushing them to play that spot. Remember what it could have been if Wood had played Center from his rookie season. I would rather have Martin play his natural position. Defense wins championships. We need a strong defense to stop Brady. We need a great defense to shut down the big running backs. My vote would be to strengthen our LB position. That is our weakest link right now in an otherwise solid defense.
  10. It doesn't matter whether the position is important or not. If there is a blue chip prospect available, you pick him. We definitely have a need at the LB position. Kucheley is right now the BPA at that point and you pick him. It is a deep draft for WR and we can get our 2nd WR in Rd 2 or 3 along with a LT (May be we get lucky and Martin is there when we pick or may be the Bills can wheel and deal their 4th rounders to get to the top of the 2nd where they can have a shot at Martin). Levitre should be left at LG. He plays when he is lined up along with Wood.
  11. The Bills picked McKelvin as he was their BPA on their draft board and look where it got them..Drafting is a crap shoot.
  12. Tsunami warnings established all over the Indian Ocean. Hopefully, all the preparations will pay off this time and that there will be no casualities.. Office buildings were evacuated in the Cities of Chennai, Bangalore and Calcutta in India as Tremors moved in the area.
  13. The Ghost of Jason Peters continues to haunt the Bills !
  14. We did have the same way last season...So wouldn't be surprised.
  15. Nah...He is not playing for the Buffalo Bills, but with the mighty Philadelphia Eagles...It is so awful to hear the pundits describe this as a great signing, when they were crying the past three seasons that the Bills don't have a starting LT. Especially when these guys are on a basketball court or a baseball field. I feel bad for the football and hockey players. They give up so much of their body and don't get paid nearly as much as the guys in the shorts and the guys who constantly spit.
  16. Good LT can be found in the 2nd and 3rd rounds too. We need to go the Giants way....Add Pass Rush to the team...Another OLB will be great...If not, we really need to get a 2nd WR who can come in and start on day one. There is very limited talent at that position. It is going to be Floyd all the way! We need to stop the Dick Jauron experiment of taking players out of positions....Levitre is our starting LG who can go to the pro bowl and that is where he needs to stay. We need to get true tackles to play at the Tackle position. Give the kid a chance. He did not get a full off season and training camp in his rookie year and did OK. With a good off season and a full training camp, he can improve. After all we have got two scrubs to go on to be starters for the Philadelphia Eagles!
  17. What is interesting is how Media portray stuff. When Bell was the starting LT for the Bills, all the pundits said that the Bills have the worst LT in the league and ridiculed the Bills for not getting a LT in the draft. ONce he goes to the Eagles, there is all praise for the same player and how he will be a huge asset to the eagles OL. Ummm Agree. This team is still short on talent and depth on the OL. Also, Urbik and Wood are coming off season ending injuries. This line needs to gel and play like they played the first five games of last season when they gave ZERO sacks.
  18. There are only 5-6 Blue Chip players in the top of a given draft. 7 through 20, most of the players are inter-changeable and get drafted based on needs, fancies of a team.
  19. This is the most insane comment I have seen. Williams is not asking his players to be aggressive. He is asking them to deliberately INJURE opponents by striking their heads and tearing their ACLs. Big difference!. Williams and the NFL may be in great trouble here. I definitely can see a Congressional hearing on this and multiple lawsuits from other players.
  20. It is the nature of the position. Cleveland, Miami are desperate for a franchise QB (and the Bills to some extent) and they pick in the top 10. Tannehill is the 3rd best QB in this draft. While scouts may project him to be a top 20-32 pick (like a J.P. Losman) and require him to learn the pro-offense (due to his low college experience), QB needy teams are going to take him where their draft slot is. If Miami can trade down to the 15 and pick him up, I am sure they will want to do it. But you may not have a trading partner. The point is simple: QB needy teams in the top 10 that cannot get Luck and RGIII...Hence, they will get Tannehill at their spot (#4 or #8). Tannehill is going to be the key to this draft. If Cleveland picks Tannehill at #4 and Minny picks the LT, the draft could get jumbled for us @ 10.
  21. I believe that in this draft there is a lack of BLUE CHIP TALENT at the Tackle position, but it is a tackle rich draft. The question to answer for the Bills: Is any of the tackles on their draft board better than Bell. If they convince themselves so, then they will draft. The Tackle doesn't have to come from the 1st round. He could be from 2nd or 3rd round too. Bell did not like the contract offer from the Bills so wanted to check out FA. He is entitled to that. The first wave produced nothing, most probably because a) Most of the teams have a starting LT b) Interested teams were not willing to offer him a starter-type 30-40M Contract due to his injury history. Typically in this situation, the player (due to Ego) will never sign back with the Original team (that gives all leverage back to the Bills). Instead, they will go and sign a 1-year incentive based deal to get them another year and then hope for the big contract next year. A desperate team like the Steelers or Eagles will definitely be one of those teams that will rent him for a year.
  22. A Bounty Plan....Here comes Roger Goddell
  23. What...you guys don't want the picture of a man wearing zebra clothes peeking into a dark Monitor screen with his b*** peeking out for the other cameras ? Who will they show as the guy who is making an honest/independent replay...May be if this was done in the booth 12 years ago, they call that forward pass a forward pass and not be worried about a full stadium empyting on him for making the right call....makes too much sense... BTW, Cricket has been doing this for decades...of having a third umpire who refers to replays for all close calls....
  24. This whole thing is such a sham.... Peyton Attends the NFL Owners Meeting....Why? Peyton wants to name his interim Coach ...Why ? And Peter King wants Peyton to be a TV broadcaster....and as a side can recoup a big portion of the lost 5.8M dollars. Isn't that a shame...
