I said the same thing when JP Losman was made the starting QB over Drew Bledsoe....You have to let the current players play before clamoring for players on the waiver. This staff has decided that Bell and Chambers are good enough and you have to let Bell play to see if he is a NFL worthy LT before throwing him by the wayside.

Actually, I like this attitude of Losman. I hope he can make a successful re-entry back to the NFL. However, one thing I did not like with him last season was that when he was given a chance to start due to TE's injury, Losman spent more time talking about how these games were audition for him rather than thinking about getting the Bills to the playoffs. It seemed a little selfish.

The UFL defense is not the same as the defense seen in the NFL especially in the AFC East, where Belichek had Losman by his hair. JP does have a very good chance to succeed in the UFL and get back into the NFL. I don't think Fassel working in UFL is a good comparison with DIck in the NFL....BTW I already see your anti-Dick intent in the message.

Pittsburgh is not a dying city....I live here and know for sure that house prices in and around here have actually gone up. Medical insurance companies and giants such as Heinz, UPMC, etc will keep its growth. It may not be the best place for "High Tech" IT opportunities, but people do other stuff too.

Sometimes Money talks....Sanchez and Stafford have too much invested in them that those teams cannot just rip their contracts and move on...But with Edwards being a 3rd round pick, the Bills can, if they chose to. I hope TE turns out to be the QB of the future and carry this team on his shoulder. This is a make or break season because this is a make or break year for Jauron too....If Jauron is fired and replaced by some one else, they may also bring in their own system and own QB. It will be a very exciting off season at the end of 2009 either ways. I hope it is the former, where the Bills go deep into the playoffs and Edwards secures his starting position for years to come.

Good list...But I hope there is someone in that 80 man roster who can supplant some of these guys,...I do not want these guys to take their jobs on the 53-man roster for granted. I also don't see Wendling or Ryan Neil be cut. They just have to find the spot for them since both are big time players on Special Teams.

Lot of revisonist history here..... Cowher wanted desparately to beat the Bills and show that he was better than TD. The Steelers used their 1st string OL for the first 3 qtrs of the season. Willie Parker and James Harrison were awesome gems in the dirt that showed their flashes of brilliance when given the chance. It is not a surprise that the two players have gone on to have an exteremely good careers in the 4 seasons. Willie was too fast for Takeo Spikes....spikes and bledsoe just could not get the intensity up...The D could not stop a 4th and 3 call late in the 4th qtr when the Bills were sitll within reach of the steelers...Sad day

Let us not kid ourselves...The Green Bay Packers would have picked him a couple of spots behind us if we had not done so. The problem was that TD paid a huge price to get Losman and that did not pay dividends. Sometimes you reach for the guy instead of sticking to your board and pay for a long time. The Bills were on the other hand rewarded with Edwards with a late 3rd round pick. With what Edwards has shown in the past few years, he would have easily been at least a 2nd round pick if not a late 1st rounder. It goes both ways...Time to move on....Hope Edwards is the long term future here.

We have had two signings so far and I haven't heard anything yet about our 1st and 2nd rounders...Are any talks ongoing and is any of the players close to signing...I think the Steelers and Bears and probably the Patriots have most of their draft class signed.

And often our Secondary is maligned for the big plays given by them...Unfortunately a lot of that is due to lack of a pass rush by the front four..When pressure is applied, the Secondary will be able to be more a ball hawk...For now they are suffering in just covering the WR for a long period of time.

For a Team to be Championship Caliber, it needs a great defense.....Defense wins championships....I hope the Bills D goes from the worst pass rushing team to one of the best that can put the pressure on the QB on a constant basis. I hope they can cause turnovers and give a short field to the Bills. The current SB champion was built with one of the best defenses ever in the NFL
