  1. What a throw by Rodgers...We haven't seen these kinds of throws at Orchard Park in a long time.
  2. That is very surprising. The Pouncey brothers have been really good.
  3. That is Chan Gailey for you. As I posted on another thread, Gailey lost his job, because he failed to make his adjustments , in spite of it all being very obvious. He failed to make any half-time game day adjustments, failed to go to another QB when his starter was failing miserably. Even the out-in-the flat throw cost us a TD against Miami at their one-yard line, because the play was so predictable.
  4. This week was not about Player Personnel. It was more about building the coaching side of the team. We still have a lot of work on that side having to hire the position coaches. Only after that, the coaching staff can truly evaluate the current personnel of the team and identify what needs to be done in FA and then the draft.
  5. Last year Tannehill as picked at #8 by the Dolphins. I sure Ryan was not slated anywhere in the top 20 of most of the draft boards. However, if you think he is your guy and is unlikely to be there in the next round or don't have a viable trading partner, then you make the pick. If the Bills have wasted picks on Whitner @ #8, how bad it can be to get a QB there.
  6. I don't think the 2.8M counts against the guaranteed money. Doesn't he have two 3M roster bonus and may be that is what counts against the guaranteed money.,
  7. Other Young HC or Coordinators include, Jeff Fisher, Greg Williams, Kyle Shanhan, Josh McDaniesl, O'Brien, Perry Fewell
  8. When your offense cannot stay on the field and give good field positions to the opponents, you cannot expect your defense to bail you out all the time (The same story applies to the Bills too).
  9. Actually that is not true. In the NFL, if you find a successful play, teams will repeatedly use it until the opponent(s) can stop it. That is what good teams do. Look at NE. Their bread and butter throws are the quick slants to Welker and Gronowski. They will run those plays until someone can stop that. Football is football at any level. You line them up and play man-on-man and if your man can consistently beat his assignment, teams will continue to make the same play. Even Gailey ran the screen so many times because it was successful with Spiller as the Catcher.
  10. Why? He went 9-7 in his 1st year as a HC. His 2nd year Bills and 1st year Jags are teams short-on-talent. You can only do so much with those teams especially when there is such a big question mark at the QB position.
  11. Hopes: There were glowing quotes from Jerry Jones and Bill Cowher Gailey had got a lot out of Thigpen in KC. People were confident that Gailey would be able to do the same with Trent Edwards or Fitzpatrick Gailey would be the right person to turn Marshawn Lynch around. Question Marks: There were a lot of questions as to why Gailey was fired before the 1st game of the season by Todd Haley in KC There were question marks as to how he won nothing with the Yellow Jackets as HC There were HUGE question marks about his coaching staff as not many of them had any NFL Experience. There was a big Question mark about Edwards being able to run a 3-4 after being a linebackers coach
  12. Why so much vitriol for our former HC. Murlarkey never has given a reason in public as to why he left Buffalo. He even said so in the calls prior to the game against the Bills. When Levy took over this team, he already had Jauron in his radar and he probably forced Mularkey to make changes to his staff that he was not comfortable with (May be he wanted Jauron to be his DC and Mularkey refused). No one reallly knows what happened during that time in OBD. It would be just easy to let it go and move on with life.
  13. There has been absolutely no indication from this coaching staff that this is going to be a "rebuilding year". What makes you think that hiring Lovie would not do a "rebuild". Every NFL HC is going to look at his stable of players and decide what needs to be done. This staff is yet to make a single Personnel move and you are already claiming that it will be a "rebuilding year".
  14. This  Spiller is one of the most dynamic players in the league. Why would you want to trade him if we ourselves can have better coaches to make use of his talent.
  15. And why not. The last approach definitely did not work. Gailey came in with a bunch of scrubs from his Georgia Tech days.
  16. Agree. The yards/attempt provides a sense on his consistency, something he sorely lacked.
  17. +1. I don't want DeHaven anywhere near OBD. It is time for him to hang it up.
  18. What ? No footage of the Umpire and the Refs ?
  19. Oh. Don't worry. I am sure there will be enough folks who will complain that the Bills are not doing their due diligence and in a hurry to hire people who are unlikely to be hired by others..
  20. We need to build depth on the OL. When Wood went down, Young was just ok and it showed in those losses. When Wood came back, he again had a dominating game. +1. Wilson, Scott, Kelsay and Barnett need to go. In the name of Leaders, we are holding on to piss-poor players (and who free lance).
  21. I am sure CBS is going to charge for it. This would conflict with the programming rights for NFL (Gamepass).
