Actually they have been drafting for the defense the past two seasons... Troupe, Carrington last year, Dareus, Williams, Sheppard, Batten this year...Plus FA Merriman, Barnett and re-signed Florence...I think they have spent enough on the defense with little to show far. It is time for Edwards to go.

Romo is yet to throw an incomplete pass. Fitz missed Nelson on that first throw, but got him on a more difficult/tight throw.. Jackson was a spectator on those two goal line plays. Where is Spiller on that goal line situation. At least they broken open the score. Now what can Edwards Scheme Up ? Probably Nothing!

Why would you ask a street-signed FA kicker playing his first game for your team to try a 52 yard FG when you know that you are giving the ball in good field position if the kick is missed. Instead, why not pin them deep down their side and put pressure on Romo.... :wallbash:

If this team is to show progress, they need to make the playoffs. I don't need this team to win the SB this year. But they have to win games within the division and make the playoffs. Every game from here on is a playoff and that is the mentality they have to carry forward. The margin of error is too small and the bigger teams are starting to play well (a.k.a Jets). T

I still think this Defensive coaching staff is pretty suspect. They have not been able to put the best players on the field and put them at the best position to succeed on a consistent basis. Actually, that defense became super after the super bowl years because they hired Wade Phillips as the DC. Wade like LeBeau and Dom Capers knows how to run a 3-4 defense and STOP THE RUN. Once you make the other team one dimensional, then you can get your DBs to cheat and play the pass better. Sadly, Edwards cannot even hold a jock strap to those guys. Look at how Capers and Phillips have brought a huge change to the defense in Houston and Green Bay making them instant Super Bowl contenders. Look at how Houston was such a leaky defense in spite of having a load of super stars....Enter Phillips....Boom, they are one of the best defense in the NFL and they are winning ball games for their team, Again goes back to being effective against the run and creating a pass rush. Agreed, IT starts from the top. Need a good 3-4 DC to run this ship. Then need to generate pass rush. Our DBs will be fine.

Agree and the Jets have the hot hand, having won their last three, while we have been 2-3 in the last five games...We need to get our act together. It is a shame that the offense has gone into this funk when the defense has started playing so well.

I am not sure what Roosevelt did today to deserve this quote. Our 2nd WR has been non-existent. I wish Fitz would look more often to Nelson...who is at least sure handed. Spiller deserves to play more @ the #2 spot. I wish the Bills coaching staff will see that. I wish the Bills would have game planned this...Spiller is the fastest WR on this team. When the Jets were taking away the short stuff, it was time to throw to him at least a couple of times... What is the point of having players like Smith, Spiller, Nelson, if they cannot be part of your game plan.

Vow...What a game...First Flacco chokes and fumbles the ball instead of a game-icing play. Then Ben drives them for the go ahead TD and then the vaunted Steeler Defense Chokes and Flacco redeems himself....Now there are so many teams jammed with 3 losses......The Bengals are looking GREAT at the TOP of the AFC North..... and the Bills are fading fast with 3 losses in their last 4 games...

Bill, Nothing went right today. Very inept play calling. Did not try something different when things were not working. We did not use players like Brad Smith and Spiller effectively. Fitz was definitely rattled and his throws were way off. When you know that they excel in taking away the short stuff, the coaching staff couldn't adjust. Where was the reverses, wild cat...Something different... The defense was on the field for 37 1/2 minutes...That is not going to win ball games. And the Jets scored Touchdowns when it mattered. That opened up a tight 3-0 ball game. Our offense, defense and special teams were lifeless

To beat the good/elite teams, we have to be good in all 3 phases of the game. For that we need have a good kicking game. When the weather turns cold and into snow, the Bills are not going to be consistently throwing for 250 yards/game. In those games, we need the yards from other places in the team.

We are half way into the season and our Kick and Punt returns have been pretty average. What is blocking Bruce Dehaven from putting out a good special teams. Our punt returns have pretty much been "fair catches". We really need our Special Teams to kick some butt this week.

The defining moment was when we beat the Pats...We erased 7 years of frustration and also given the team the confidence to go and beat anyone (especially on the Bills home turf).
