Sean McDermott: "Culture Trumps Strategy" ?
ganesh replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The problem is "Strategy" is almost always objective...you have very clear idea of how to do it....Whereas "Culture" is a very subjective function...There is no such thing as "Do this to have this culture" other than a broad set of ideas. Culture evolves over time; you can't do it overnight -
We All Know The Bills Issues....Now Share Your Solutions
ganesh replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is hard to change the make up of an NFL team mid-season. The time invested on the current time is way too high. The best starting point is to improve our coaching. 1. IT starts with the Running game. We haven't even tried running McCoy and failing. When a guy gets 6 touches on the road and is your best player, that is a crime and falls squarely on the coaching staff. 2. Stop forcing your Rookie QB to throw 35+ times...This is NOT College Football. 3. Teach your rookie QB to keep the football and not make silly mistakes -
The Baker Era Has Begun in Cleveland
ganesh replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is great to see this rookie group taking up ownership as they get introduced to the speed of NFL Defense. Repeatedly Allen, Darnold and Mayfield have been the biggest critics of themselves when their teams lost. I hope this group goes on to win many championships together for their franchise (Include Rosen). -
If they did then this team will continue in its endless spin as the incoming regime will then want their own QB (Losman, Manuel all saw the same fate). The Pegulas have to give Bean and McDermott another 2 years to build this team around the current pieces (Allen, Dawkins on Offense and the entire rebuilt defense). They need BETTER COACHING !

Bills Schedule Breakdown - So far & Moving forward
ganesh replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Disagree. In parity driven NFL, it comes down to coaching. This team can win games especially with 7 more games at home. -
Against the Chargers, it was evident that the OL was performing fine; but the TEs and RBs couldn't hold their blocks. They fixed that against he Vikes game...However, agains the Packets, both the line and the TE/RBs sucked...On different plays we had at least 3 defenders running free towards Josh. The Right Tackle was constantly getting bull rushed allowing the DL to get to the QB or the QB lane several times. And teh TE and RBs haven't been able to block their guys!

How do you develop Allen with the current offense?
ganesh replied to DuckyBoys's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree with this. This coaching staff is NOT putting Allen in place to succeed (or Allen is NOT listening to them). The coach should have given an earful to Allen for throwing that wild INT into the endzone; there is no place for that throw in the NFL. You could have at the worst gone into the locker room at 13-3 instead of 16-0 and may be Lewis picks that Int then this game is a lot more closer. If you cannot pass protect your rookie QB then you have disaster...Remember Carr at Houston...He was the highest sacked QB in his rookie season...he never recovered from that and our WRs cannot get separation -
A few thoughts about the Packers game, in no particular order
ganesh replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Have ti agree..Rodgers appeared to have a good 4-5 seconds for all those plays. Also, you gave a pass to the OL. It was putrid in pass protection. There was jail break on almost all plays. Even Norv Turner (who is very QB friendly) was available -

Didn't the Von Miller get a penalty against the Bills for this last year ? -

There were three guys who came clean at him...There is no way he is in the pocket on that play. -

Division Game Scheduling
ganesh replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is like how baseball is played...division games...then inter-league games in the summer ....back to divison games to end the season...would be cool to do that in NFL too...I think it will provide a lot more excitement...last years Bills-Jets and Baltimore-Cincy....what a way to finish to enter the playoffs. -
The Young Guns Have Arrived in the NFL !!
ganesh replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And the issue has been diagnosing a play. He did not see things well in the Chargers game...But in the Vikes he did; I assume that is because of good coaching that focused on a smaller set of plays and asked him to look for specific things in the play and he did well as Minny played into Dabolls hands. That won't be the same against Green Bay. They will test the young QB with something unexpected based on the game film they saw against Minnesota...Hopefully Daboll will be ready. This season comes to how Daboll prepares Allen to succed!!! -
Mike McCarthy calls Allen a 'stud'
ganesh replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
But he can't escape like Tyrod did. That was Tyrod's main strength...keeping broken plays alive. I am happy to have a real QB and not the other way around -

McDermott not pleased with WRs in practice
ganesh replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly what was the OC and WR coach doing.. They should have been on the face of those WRs -
At this point I would like to just bring in Derek Anderson to support the rookie QB.

We can call it a true change of guard when younger QBs step up and win Super Bowls (or make it to them)...When you see the playoffs, it still filled with the Brady's, Ben's, Rivers, Brees etc. There were a lot of promise with Rodgers, Wilson, Ryan and Cam took their teams to the SB, but have not had a more consistent appearance.
