Who are the Vets who are out there that can come and start and not suck the same level as the current ones ? Also, the premise that our OL was unsettled through TC is bull crap. Other than the Center, we pretty much have had the same folks as the #1 OL. What has changed is the chemistry between the OL and the QB as the three QBs were constantly rotated in as the #1 QB.

The Organizational Incompetence of the Buffalo Bills

Or It could simply be non-availability of good OL in FA or in the draft (at where they picked) !!!!! The loss of continuity on the OL has definitely hurt this team. -
2018 Bills free agents not good
ganesh replied to remembersthegoodtime's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed...It is the guys who couldn't set up the edge and rush the passer and our LBs couldn't cover! Star was not a problem last Sunday -
Why wouldn't he? AJ had a poor outing in pre-season game2. Josh had a poor outing in game3. Only QB who performed consistently across the four games including the one Nate started was Nate. Argument could have been made to keep AJ instead of Peterman...But when two players show the same set of cards, the regime is going to keep the guy they drafted and get something in return for the other guy. What the Bills failed to see that both Nate and AJ couldn't go above a certain level and should have gone out and got another Veteran QB.

Bingo. I think the only mistake made by Beane was trading AJ. AJ would have been a good Veteran QB to have on this team to mentor Josh. However on the flip side, Sean would have replaced Nate with AJ today for the 2nd game...So Josh wasn't going to get any playing time. The Bills really need a 10+ year backup QB who will play a mentor role without giving the HC a chance to replace with the Veteran.

The fact that the guy took a team to the playoffs in his 1st year indicates he has full control of his locker room!

The Silver Lining : Josh Allen is very good.

I agree...It would have been great for Sean to have called the farce of a 3-headed monster and made Josh the starting QB in TC...He would have got all the reps with the starters..It would have also helped the OL gel better knowing who is throwing the football. The receivers would have got used to that Bullet of an arm...May be Benjamin makes that TD catch yesterday if he had enough time with Josh. May be the RBs can make more catches from Josh... -
Was there a solid plan on the QB after Tyrod left?
ganesh replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They did..but they got bit in FA when the Jets, Broncos swooped on Bridgewater and Keenum. Both are much better than McAaron or Nate -
Disagree. Josh came into the game at 40-0...The Ravens knew that the Bills were NOT going to run the ball anymore and throw...They just kept their safeties deep and went after the QB. Daboll didn't do a good job of giving Allen the intermediate routes. When you are down 40-0 your team is NOT playing with any confidence.

Your phone rings, it's Terry Pegula....

Hire Beane and McDermott back!!! There is nothing wrong with them. They are good GM and HCs that you cannot find out in the market. The Bills have tried several along the way with poor results. -
What is the first phone call Beane makes today?

All three at the same time ???? Jokes apart, I wouldn't mind having Landry Jones...He is a better QB than Nate and has been in the Steelers system watching Ben play for the past four years. Getting a OL at this time is going to be real tough...There are none available that are not already in other teams 53 man roster! -
Brian Billick on The Bills' QB Situation
ganesh replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The problem is none of these comments where made when Peterman was throwing the football in the Preseason games. My point is that these NFL TV guys just like to talk in hindsight on a what if...WHy didn't Billick come out before the Baltimore game and say that they are going to cream Peterson! -
Jets game proved teams are built in the trenches

They are also playing at home against an Opponent who has a new HC (and hence a new scheme). They did not have to go into Baltimore and play in the rain. The pass rush from the Ravens were a lot different than what the Lions offered. We cannot compare the two games! -
We knew our OL was going to take a beating after the departure of Incognito, Wood and Glenn. The problem was that we did not address it in FA (with all that dead cap money) and went with our last years backups as the starters. The Pre-season showed that those guys (Ducasse, Miller, Groy) are not ready to become starters. This team cannot fix everything in one season. They chose to fix the defense this year by drafting Edmunds, Phillip and signing Lotulelei. Hopefully they will address the OL next year. The problem is one never gets a good starting OL in FA. They are simply a rare breed.
