David Carr: Vikings Made a Mistake Paying Cousins $84M

Like we did with Williams But I believe he had no interest in coming here. -
Preston Brown Lands on IR with the Bengals

Neither did 30 other teams. The Bengals picked him up on a 1-year-prove-it contract. -

Thoughts on not making Anthony Lynn our HC?
ganesh replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And the AFC West is a mess besides the Chiefs...There are easy wins for the taking. Really ? He has a Franchise QB...that alone will keep him in all games, -
How do you tell that to the 52 other players on the roster. The Bills are officially *NOT* out of the playoff race (even if it is a 1% shot) and players are looking to get Wins. Will they give the same confidence and put in 100% effort with Allen knowing that he may not be the better QB at this time. I agree that it is important for the rookie to get live game experience, but Beane has defended every time that we are *NOT* Tanking

How about Jonah Williams at LG?

And all of that should come in the lower rounds...Our 1st RD pick MUST be a WR or a bonafide pass catching TE. -
Hughes is also winning his battle because Star and Kyle are doing an external job in the middle. They are demanding double teams just like Hughes...and when Hughes goes 1-on-1 against average tackles, he always win them

I expect a 1st round or 2nd round draft pick to be our #1/#2 WRs. We have to fix the offense in the draft. It is all going to depend on where we are going to draft...It looks like we are likely to be a 6-10 team (splitting the remaining three games... games against Jets and Miami are winnable and possibly the game against Detroit and may be even the Jags), we should have a 8-12 position in the draft.

Is this a playoff team with Tyrod?
ganesh replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Houston scored 10 points in a span of 2 minutes deep in the 4th quarter...the game was 10-6 at that time. Chicago scored 28 points again in a space of 6-7 minutes when the offense/ST self destructed. At the beginning of the 2nd quarter we were tied 0-0 before ST flipped the field. -
Bills tied for 2nd most "deep" throws in the NFL...

Like J.P Losman. He always had a good deep ball..but could not throw with any consistency in the 5-15 yard area. -
Is this a playoff team with Tyrod?
ganesh replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We lost games to Houston and Chicago because our Offense turned over the ball at inopportune times. I think those would have been winnable games with Tyrod. But on the other hand, could he have done what Allen did to win against the Titans...I doubt it. Similarly, there is definitely no ways he would have bulldozed the Jets like last week. So I don't think the record would be almost similar...may be a 4-6 instead of 3-7. We have played a very tough schedule with 6 of the first 10 games on the road against superior opponents who are all in the thick of the Playoff races. None of the QBs we had including Tyrod would have been able to win the games against the Patriots, Baltimore, Chargers or Green Bay -

Still Hausch Money as PFF's Number One Rated Kicker
ganesh replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That is not true....White, Milano and Hughes are having a huge year on the defense. The Front Four in general have been outstanding. -
If what you say is true, I am surprised that he has not learned anything from Belichek. Belichek's offense are pretty simple...quick throw, catch and run. I agree. Otherwise, the Bills would do a dis-service to the rest of the team while still not eliminated officially from the playoffs (Because we don't know if Allen can play better than what Barkley showed on Sunday, at this juncture)
-
TE, RG, #1 WR are the highest needs
-
Also our rushing defense would be even better if our opponents don't have a 30 point lead at the start of the 2nd half. Teams have just run in the 2nd half to close out games. But none of that would matter if you don't have a decent OL....Your QB will be smothered in the backfield every play and even if he got around that he wouldn't have time to throw to that stud WR who can catch everything...

Bills have #27th ranked Defense according to ESPN
ganesh replied to Estelle Getty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At the end the points allowed by the Defense dictates whether you get a W or L....The Bills are ranked 19th in that category...Understand that the Offense is doing them NO Favors..but that is what it is. -
Just heard an interesting Eli rumor (not Bills related)

A Few Thoughts about the Jets Game, In no particular order
ganesh replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We have to credit the OL for the way they played today. They dominated the line of scrimmage and gave enough time for Barkley to set his feet and throw...something they had not shown in the past several weeks. This also opened up the holes for the running game which McCoy and MUrphy took advantage. For one game, this OL looked outstanding. They came to play. Can they show this consistency game in game out. -
Saw an NFL Offense today - Not from an X & O's expert
ganesh replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We had so many fresh blood that brought a different enthusiasm to the team. Our ST was outstanding today. They did not put the Offense in a hole. -

If Barkely completes this game the way he is playing, then the Bills will have to play him until they are mathematically eliminated from the Playoffs. -

Yes. Did you see Anderson teaching the finer points of the plays to Allen?
