  1. But his own HC had zero confidence in him
  2. Hoping for the rust-belt to come back into dominance.
  3. or may be use his quick release to move the chains like Marino did.
  4. Does this mean that Rosen will need a stud OL to be successful in the NFL?
  5. This might be for the old timers who kept track of drafts (I did only after 1990)... We had four QBs go in the 83 draft with Kelly taken ahead of Marino. Considering the college resume of Miami. was there hair splitting in Buffalo at picking the wrong QB from Pennsylvania? In the end it did not matter as both Kelly and Marino had stellar careers where they took their teams to SuperBowls (albeit never won one) and enshrined themselves in the HOF.
  6. Beane doesn't get to annoit a player's status. That is up to the HC.
  7. Their master stroke would have been to package all their drafts and go after Barkley. That would have probably meant another few super bowls with Brady
  8. I am not so sure...AJ has been on the bench for the last five years being part of NFL games...He has enough game-day experience to understand how to play in the NFL. I am sure he will get the nod over Allen unless Allen is lights out in TC or AJ is really so bad.
  9. AJ's coaches have said multiple times that there is a "huge" fire burning under this guy and he is waiting for the opportunity. I don't think the Bills push Allen into the starting line up on day one. Their experience with Nate regards to that sure backfired on them. They will give the reins to AJ to start and see where they go and if he really sucks then they will put Allen in on a lost season.
  10. The one's that are patient with their picks are the ones that succeed...
  11. And you don't become an elite team overnight. It takes multiple seasons to mold a roster
  12. The guy who made the quote about inaccuracy 3-night ago himself was 3-13 in his rookie season!!!!! Every QB is a project in some sense that get nurtured through the process...The ones who get time are successful.....see Aikman, Favre, Young, Rodgers, Brees, Brady etc
  13. And their ratings ? Sal is the no-one-knows-me-i-am-on-this-lift-everyday office going guy Beane is the Mr. Suit guy that everyone wants to shake hand McDermott is the lunch pail guy who would like to HiFi everyone on that lift! Three different personalities.
  14. And yet there are names like Troy Aikman and Mike Mayock who doubted that pick...so for every postive, there was a negative...which is expected in a draft. And that is what Trent Dilfer made as a comment. He said "accuracy" is equal to ball placement. He said Allen is the best at ball placement in this draft.
  15. I think it was a huge smoke screen to make the AFCE East members sweat and push additional draft picks to ensure they go their QBs. Smart Hoodie!!! He is going after Rudolph or the Latuetta guy
  16. The same was said when we passed on Matt Leinart...A polished QB coming from USC under the belt of Pete Carroll and the multiple championship....and yet Mat was out of the league in a few years. We never know what they bring to the table in the NFL. There is no such thing as "sure" in the NFL Draft.
  17. I agree...Tom Brady felt snubbed by teams..but he didn't bring that to the media; instead he worked hard at his game and elevated himself. I didn't sense the same with Rosen on his post-draft calls on the NFL Network (Both with Deion and later). Dude...you should be happy that you were drafted in the top 10 of the NFL-Crapshoot...May be you need to win a few games and then open your mouth in a 20/20 with Diane Sawyer two years from now...you will then get sympathy
  18. I am with you on this Bill!. It is simply amazing how the fans are turning around without even giving this kid a chance. Trent Edwards was an accurate WC QB, but he played scared. I think people are latching on to Troy Aikman's pretty strong comments that he has not seen QBs with poor accuracy improve. That may be true, but without giving the kid a chance to set his feet on the field and play, we as fans have no right to crucify him or this front office. I am sure there were 32 GMs who looked at this kid and had him as a Top-5 player...
  19. We gave up draft picks...If the Bills made a bad pick at #7, why do you think they would have picked the right talent with those draft picks...You cannot have it both ways!!!!
  20. I am surprised with the tilt on Allen...geez the guy was after all being considered as the #1 draft choice. Every QB had an issue and if we had drafted any of them, we would all still be complaining...
  21. ANd don't forget we had a shot at Watson too.... But all that does not matter. We have Allen as our possible Franchise QB...Now let us figure out how to get him to play at the level.
  22. Also understand that the concussions could have scared the front office. If Allen can be half of a Kelly or Rothelisberger gunslingers, we will be alright
