Josh Rosen snaps back on Mora comments
ganesh replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Accurate QBs are always in demand. We haven't had one like that in a long time. -
I agree. Considering what the Jets paid for #3 to the Colts, I don't see how TB takes a 52 (a low 2nd round pick) to switch 7 slots and then Denver turning around and taking only the last 3rd round pick!!!...That is plain laughable trade if it went that way. Exciting draft day for sure this time.

SIX Picks within the FIRST 96 in the draft - Loving Life!

They definitely are not high on A.J. Otherwise, they would have got him early in the offseason. He was what was left over from the FA grab-your-qb-festival. The Bills need to *TRY* and invest in a QB who has a chance to succeed. The Bills have to pray that Denver does not want one of the big four QBs so that they can get the 4th available QB in a trade witb Denver or Colts and don't allow a Baltimore or Arizona to swoop in. WHat does this got to do with the Jets. The Jets are positioned themselves to get the 3rd best QB (as per the draft order) and may be the best QB from their perspective with the 3rd pick -
Agreed. They said the same things for EJ Manuel. Bad receivers on the team...blah..blah.

Browns happy with Tyrod......what if.......
ganesh replied to RFL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Browns cannot afford to miss out on Franchise QBs in spite of getting multiple chances at it. It would be catastrophic for that city for their team to keep ignoring the QBs. -
If Browns/Allen rumor has merit......

I have to believe that the Bills are ok with any of the four QBs. They are going to go up and get one of those four. If they can't find a willing trade partner, I guess they stay back and then draft Lamar Jackson. May be he is more a better version of Cam Newton than a Tyrod Taylor. -
You can want to trade up all you want

I am sure you will buy that house on the beach if you have the Million dollars. Bills fans believe that the team has the ammunition (draft-cash) to trade up and get one of those four QBs just like you would buy the million dollar home. So there is no lunacy to the thinking. -
I doubt the draft capital required to move to 4 is just an extra 1st rounder!
-
Yes. This team believes in itself. It willed itself to 9 wins without an offense and a leaky defense. With the additions with the number of draft picks this team does have it in them to go into the playoffs again even with AJ.

this! I still vividly remember Kelly lying on the field with his last career play to Rob johnson running out with a single shoe on!!!!
-
Not when you have the Cardinals and Dolphins picking ahead of you. Heck, a team like Patriots or Baltimore may trade up and get him if he is dropping to #12.

and yet so many of the originals are still on this board...just like the Bills faithful!!! Go Bills!

S.I. : Bill's All In On Trading Up Into Top 5

That doesn't prevent the Jets to trade up to #2 or #1 to get their guy! -
Draft Trade Simulator...something useful from the Buffalo News!

The Giants may never get back to this position to draft a Franchise QB without having to throw away their draft picks. If there is a Franchise QB you always take one no matter what draft picks others will throw at your face. That is the value of a potential franchise QB -
Kickoffs in the NFL Could Soon Be a Thing of the Past

May be they can have it once at the beginning of each half and do away with it after a TD or FG -

Browns have 1 and 4 and have a need for a Franchise QB and at the same time pick a once-in-a-generation RB...So it would be stupid of them to not pick one Giants are in an unusual spot of holding #2 pick in a year of QB Bounty in the draft. It would be stupid of them to not pick one Jets have a need for a franchise QB ever since they traded for Sanchez. AT #3 it would be stupid of them to not pick one. Denver have heavily invested in the QB carousel for the past five years and have no answers. At #5 they would be stupid not to pick one. That is four teams that will be desperate to pick QBs in the top 5 because they have a need and there are NFL ready QBs available in this years draft. Our luck continues to hit us bad and we just don't seem to catch a break. But the Bills have the capital to move....But will any of these four teams be willing to be a trade partner...Considering what they need is the same as us, they are unlikely to miss out on the next Carson Wentz!
-
Generational talents are available only in the top-3 of the draft...These are sure-things...We need to get one of those once in a few decades when we have the chance; either if we draft in the top5 or have the necessary draft-capital (Picks, Players) to pick in the top-5 we have to do it. Wentz is a good example to go get him. We can't assume that we will be lucky like some of the other teams where a lower-round draft pick goes on to be a Franchise QB... I would rather make something happen rather than wait for lady luck !!!!

Not anywhere. In today's NFL it is all about how you pass the Football. We are in the Golden Era of the Passing League

Our entire draft depends on the Giants pick
ganesh replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I guess they wouldn't want to show their hands as that could allow a team to trade up to #1 to get the guy they want (and the Giants want). -
Here is a draft preview from the Bills Daily http://www.billsdaily.com/draft/2004/preview.shtml They appeared to discuss that Eli and Ben would be gone in the top 5 and if the Bills wanted to get Rivers, they would need to come up to 10 to pick him ahead of the Steelers. The three Williams WRs went in the top 10 of the draft and still we could not get one of the top-3 QB. The sad part is that the Steelers were able to sit at their position and get their Franchise QB for the next 15 years!!!!! And this year the Giants get to pick their Franchise QB for the next 15 years after getting Eli Manning for the last 15 without sweating..... (The same way the Colts were able to tank for Andrew Luck when Manning was pushed out of town)......Talk about how the Rich get Richer!!!
