  1. Agreed..More of who is the Akili Smith or Jamrcus Russell or Heath Shuler...
  2. Any team that signs McAaron will still be drafting a QB in the 1st round, especially when they own a top-10 pick
  3. And they did trade up last year to get the players they coveted. They were also not afraid to make a in-season trade to get Benjamin. They have been one of the most active team through the entire season. The beauty of it is that McDermott has still been able to focus on getting his players ready to play for all the 18 weeks. If he had a playoff caliber QB, then they win the Jacksonville game.
  4. All the teams that are going to draft a QB in Rd 1 of this draft will also need a veteran QB to run the show for the first half of the season or may be even the entire season and then take a back seat for the next two years as the back up. That includes the Jets, Broncos, Cardninals, Cleveland, Minnesota, Bills. The Browns have traded for TT to be that guy. The rest have to pick between Bridgewater, Keenam, Bradford, Foles, Moore, McCown and may be even Osweiler. So there is going to be competition for both the Veteran QB as well as the one to draft.
  5. Firstly, Tyrod only has ONE year left on his contract. Secondly, The Browns will be terrible if they ignore QB in a QB Rich draft and are getting to run by with TT for the next few years. +1 Plus he beat the curse of us missing the playoffs
  6. Bridgewater, Bradford, Glennon are equally (if not better) choices....The biggest concern with Bridgewater is his injury...and then there is Nick Foles that could be had via Trade
  7. +1 and he struggled to adjust. They need a better leader of the Defense
  8. McCarron was the starting QB of the National Champions. I think there is plenty of body of work there for Coaches to evaluate. I would definitely take a flyer on him rather than Keenum who may be a one-year wonder and Bridgewater who may never recover from the gruesome injury. And please NO to Derek Anderson. He is a washed up backup QB who has no ability to be a starting QB, even if he is a bridge QB. And they are comfortable in that there is more QBs available via FA and the star studded Draft this year than any previous years and they feel any one of them will be better than TT. FA QBs that need a job are : Keenum, Bridgewater, Bradford, Cousins, Glennon, McCarron Draft - Sam, the two Josh's, Baker, and on Possible via Trade - Foles And whatever happened to the whole thing about Green Bay having to make Aaron Rodgers a FA!!!! The market is flooded indeed...even if there are many QB needy teams indeed.
  9. Evan's signed a 82M contract to stay with Tampa Bay. Drafted in the same year as Watkins.
  10. I agree. But I think there is more to it than just the #s you write. He had difficulty bringing the team back in the 4th quarter. They had difficulty moving the ball in the 1st quarter. We were never in the games against really competitive teams...ala Saints, Chargers, Patriots...We were routed in all those games. TT was good but a limited QB.
  11. Then why wouldn't you just start Nate Peterman. He is now experienced in this system for a season.
  12. I think we can get a late 2nd or a early 3rd for him. Good LTs are hard to find. I would keep Lawson. He has been injured and has a potential to be a good situational player on a rookie contract. May be the light will go on soemtime in the next two years.
  13. Yes. If they deem he will stabilize this franchise at the most important position in the next Ten years.
  14. If they were going to tank, 2017 should have been the year to tank, so that they can get their Franchise QBs and the draft capital without having to pay the ransom now that they have to do to move to the top 5. Doesn't make sense
  15. Add more doesn't really add value, if you cannot get the stars to form the base for the next five years.
  16. Their problem has been somewhat similar to ours. They just haven't been able to get past the Steelers and Ravens. As long as two teams continue to dominate the AFC North, it will be hard for the Browns to get over the hump. There is going to be lot of pressure on Hue Jackson this season to turn this around after going 1-31 in his last two seasons.
  17. +1 He will be on a one-year audition as the Browns bring up their Franchise QB through the grind. It is going to be tough for TT. He is going to move around like a Fitzpatrick rest of his career.
  18. And they get Tyrod minus 6.5M to pay that the Bills will suck up
  19. Why? while they still draft a Top-10 QB, they could still be trading for a Foles or signing a FA like Bradford or a cheaper option like AJ, or Glennon. I think the Bills have a lot of options. With the talent pool for QBs in this years draft being so high and at the same time with so many FA's available, I think the BIlls will get a QB that is at least on par with Tyrod Taylor and still be able to draft a franchise QB.
  20. If you don't get a Franchise QB, then you are unlikely to win the super bowl...Hostetler and Foley are the exceptions.
  21. And they may not drop into the top-5 again in the near future. If you have an opportunity for a franchise QB, you always get it. The Bills were unlucky when they had the 3rd overall pick...Only 2 QBs were avaiable and take before them.
  22. I agree. Another thing that happens when TT ran was that the clock was continuing to run. A lot less 3-and-outs during those games
  23. sort of like re-signing of Peerless Price!
  24. No. He is our only bonafide pass rusher
