  1. You get a 5th round pick as a pro bowl player once every 10 years....last we had a successful 5th round pick was Kyle Williams
  2. JP did not want to play for the Bills..Period!
  3. I don't think there is any problem wiht the offense...It is how Brian has been doing the play calling has been suspect.
  4. The problem is that the sample size was too small.. It was not that he was replacing Peterman with one of the Veteran QBs who are backing up in this league...players who had gone through TC, Pre-season and 1/2 of regular season....Anderson was in street clothes for the last 9 months. The blame for that play call should have been on Daboll...He didn't play to the strength of his QB.
  5. I agree. Peterman went through TC and won the starting job during the Pre-season. You can't simply abandon all the preparation for over 3 months and bring in a player who hasn't touched a football in six months and have him start against NFL defense. McDermott needs to have a lot more confidence in his team that he took to Training Camp.
  6. It is not even about the team record. It is about the flux in the organization. Now you are bringing QBs from the street on a weekly basis. There is no continuity or consistency in what the team does day in day out. When you bungle the most important position, the team as a whole will be quitting as they have no interest
  7. The fact that the Eagles didn't up their offer from a 4th round pick also tells how much they valued him for their championship run!!!! It goes both ways my friend isn't that how all the greats lose their edge...one fine day they wake up and then find that they can't do what they did 10 years ago.
  8. Because I am not the GM!!!!
  9. Why? He has played as poorly as the rest of the team...why is he getting a pass...Look at the effort provided by Ivory while running between the tackles when McCoy has danced around in the backfield. Yesterday was a pathetic performance by McCoy...He had 1 Net Yard in 11 plays.....A star player does better than that even without a good supporting cast...I can't give a pass to McCoy
  10. This is what we did with the Chan Gailey Hire..We did well on offense, but we had some stiffs like Edwards running the defense and we were horrible on Defense. We have never had good OC and DC at the same time except during the Bledsoe era.
  11. I wouldn't call outstanding defense. They have given up big plays on 3rd downs with their bend-but-don't-break defense. They also missed out on finishing plays.
  12. +1. Bills fans need to set the bar higher on the standards expected of their starting QB for us to be consistently in the playoffs especially from a division dominated by the Patriots I have to agree..our ST coaching is terrible.
  13. I think Beane and McDermott have equal power and report to the President of the team (Kim). McDermott drafted Peterman before Beane came on board. The biggest mistake Beane made was in his hurry to hoard draft picks decided to ship McAaron to the Raiders when he could have kept all the three QBs on the roster. This would given both Allen and Nate to learn the game more. Everyone talks about Allen sitting for a year but no one is talking about why Nate shouldn't do the same...After all he was a 5th round draft pick from last year. If McAaron had been retained, this mess could have been avoided. The HC and GM overthought themselves and saw what Nate did in pre-season and annoited him the starter only to pull him out in the 4th quarter of game 1....What is troubling me is that LACK of Faith in your starting QB especially after you shipped his competition the previous week and then threw the rookie to the wolves. For this Beane and McDermott need to be held accountable. They have clearly made a gross mistake at the most critical position on the team.
  14. And that was 15 seasons ago. The NFL has changed significantly since. You got to let your rookie take his lumps...He will be much better next year.
  15. Bend but don't break. This defense thrives on turnovers and giving the offense a short field position. Yesterday. that did not happen. WHen that does not happen, this bend-but-dont'-break just falls apart.
  16. When the defense causes turnovers and keep the field short we win. Today, the defense was good but did not create those turnovers. We had a few chances including a chance for a pick-six and missed it. Those are the small things the Pats do very well to make a difference. The DL got a lot of pressure on Brady, but the scheme gives Brady all the time to pick up first downs with quick passes. Loss of Edmunds in the 3rd quarter hurt us. Also, the Pats OL always holds and gets away with it. I am actually struggling to understand why Anderson is the starting QB. He was brought here to mentor Josh Allen, not play QB for the Bills. I would have preferred that this team actually play Nate even though he may struggle like Anderson. After all Anderson has equally been this turnover machine. Now with his hand injury it may not matter that Nate will start next week. I really can't wait for Allen to come back
  17. Will Josh Allen be back next week. I have seen enough of Anderson
  18. You might as well just play Peterman
  19. we just can't get a break!!!
  20. Please No. Haley disobeyed his HC in Pittsburgh and was canned. He did the same in Cleveland...same result...Stay away from him
  21. This bend but not break defense is finally breaking.
  22. With this offense, I got to agree
  23. nfl.com is reporting that GW is the Interim HC
  24. I see the Bills trading for Bridgewater or Sam rather than Tyrod.
