  1. hometown discount. Great show of respect from both parties.
  2. May be they don't want big money on a 3rd WR but instead use it to get a #1 TE....
  3. The issue is the Bills NOT cutting him last year. If we had cut him last year, the cap savings he would have provided would have been rolled over to this years Cap space which would have allowed us to be more flexible this year.
  4. I think Josh is focused on winning a championship and like Brady will do right by the team to ensure that they can put a competitive team around him.
  5. One of Mel's arguments in favor of Josh is that his (Allen's) stats in college are skewed (especially the completion percentage). He mentioned that (on the draft day when Allen was picked) Allen's completion % is lower because he was asked to throw less than 25 time. For rhythm passers, the 25 number is not sufficient., He says that if Allen had an opportunity to throw 30+ times in a real offense, his % would have automtaically increased with the extra check downs to RB/TEs and to slot receivers
  6. he would have been gone if we had a stellar back up in waiting. The window of opportunity for the Bills is the next 2-3 years and then thre will be a rebuild once again around Josh Allen. Continuity during this window is very important
  7. THat is the type of deal we have to give Milano to retain him.
  8. more contributions to his fund by Bills Mafia !
  9. How does it matter if he calls the game or if it is Reid's offense. Teams hiring Bieniemy would be looking for HC value from him. He would not be joining these teams to be their OC
  10. Both ways work... Rodgers and Mahomes benefited by sitting on the bench for a year....Watson and Allen have been thrown to the wolves from day one and they have done ok. this !
  11. If they get Watson, they will be competing for the AFC East with us. in a hurry !
  12. I guess the top WR gets $10M to 15M a Year (Diggs) your 2nd and 3rd WRs get 7-10M a year (Brown, Beasley) your 4th and 5th WRs get $750K to $3M a year... If you split your cap approximately by 1/8th (one for each skill position), then you have about $25M of your Cap to spend on WRs... If you spent 20+ on the 1st three then the 4th and 5th are playing rookie contracts or minimum wages.
  13. isn't it also Drew Bledsoe's birthday along with Jim's son Hunter. Happy Birthday to all of them.
  14. 20-30% of a 180M cap space would be 36M to 54M per year. May be you meant 20-30% of their available cap space ?
  15. Just collecting a lot of mismatched FA does not build a team. Ask all those Cowboys and Redskin teams !!!
  16. he has also chucked some unbelievable balls that his WRs have dropped for TDs.
  17. Tampa has given the footprint for beating the chiefs...the GREAT pass rush and a good Running game....two things that the Bills did not have. If the Bllls get that in place, Allen can go toe to toe with Mahomes.
  18. I think the first shot showed the RT and there appeared to be no hold. Then the cameras picked the Left Tackle choking the Tampa DE.
  19. Question to ask is if Phillips and Lawson shone on their new teams. Agreed they played better than the scrubs we hired as replacements...but the replacements were much cheaper and both (Laswson and Phillips) would have large cap hits in 2021 and 2022....the year we need to prune cap space. It was a tough decision but the right decision
  20. That would be quite insulting to a player who has started 23 games here.
  21. you are talking about a 25% roster update (including re-signing our own)
