There was zero pass rush. We were afraid of their RBs and hence played contain allowing Mullens to throw the ball with a lot of time. This same thing did not work with the Titans where they had a better QB who dissected this defense. Defense needs to play better at the line of scrimmage.
There are two iconic KW plays...
One was this rushing TD against Miami where they thought this might be the last game of his career. However, we made the playoffs and then Kyle returned for another year.
The second play was his first pass he caught for close to a first down (I think against Miami too) in the next (and his final season) that allowed us to run the clock. He did not score a TD in that play
Usually pick-six occurs when weak armed QBs tried to throw towards the sideline and cannot beat the CB jumping his route....
Neither is Allen's arm weak nor does he throw those flat to the side line throws much. Most of his INTs have come from chunk plays where he did not see the Safety move up
It is even worse than that for Rivers. He made the playoffs with the Chargers exactly four times in his career with one year taking them to the Conference Championship. Denver and Kansas City has been on his path all these years.
The line really needs to stabilize and get some continuity. This constant flux in the combination is simply not help Josh be kept upright.
I thought the OL played their best against Arizona
Edmunds play in the last 4-5 weeks has been terrific and so has been the effort of Klein..... This cannot be ignored in their raise in the rankings.
What is still holding this team down is the front line's ability to put pressure on 3rd and longs...We are giving up way too many because we are allowing these QBs to set and throw.
100% agree especially when he has contributed to 86% off the offense statistically.....He needs to understand that better than anyone else.
He made a couple of tactical mistakes that could have cost us the game and the season. He needs to be better than that.
The only way you have to solve this is to build continuity within the organization like the Steelers did in the early 2000s....When their OCs took HC job, their "Next Man Up" were ready to stream roll and they did it successfully.

You missed @Denver to your list,
And Miami plays: Bengals, Chiefs, Raiders, New England and the Bills.
Other than the Bengals game, they have a tough road too...
We have to win against SF next week to keep the one game lead.
or Gabe Davis
while our defense made him uncomfortable, he kept making plays. He was finding his TE consistently. That 3rd and 18 from hiis 15 yard line throw was brilliant
