  1. That 4 should include the 2 vs Patriots and 1 remaining vs Miami. I would prefer 5-4 instead.
  2. That is what makes it interesting....why repeat the same stuff that you get with your daily reporting from Buffalo....It was great to see Josh be cool and open himself up. Great Kid. Hopefully one day he will bring the Lombardi home ! Yup. Millenals think a lot differently (good) than the previous generations.
  3. Since he was a 1st round, they can always take the 5th year option and evaluate after that.....we will still have 2 years to figure that out. His play simply means, that we will not be in an hurry to extend him as we thought earlier. The focus now will be on Milano and Allen at the end of the season.
  4. They were hoping Harrison Phillips can come back and play at a very high level.
  5. I think it would be fairer to compare what the guy who won did. If you did relative comparing, I think he did a wonderful job.
  6. Congrats Jerry. It is sad and stupid that Bass did not get the ST player of the week....six field goals including two clutch game FG in 4th quarter.
  7. Drew Bledsoe, Wade Phillips, Fitz??
  8. Yeah.....As Dory chided...."Why would you do that" !!!!!
  9. yeah...we can ignore the exceptions
  10. Our defense "was elite last year" -----> Do check the teams and QBs that we played last year. Our defense is middle of the pack that protects the end zone. Last year the QBs we faced were : Brady, Fitz, Darnold, Mayfield, Duck, Lamar, Dalton, Mariota, Allen, Haskins, Wentz, Prescot, Jones. This years QB faced: Darnold, Fitz, Goff, Mahomes, Tannehill, Carr Goff, Mahomes, and Tannehill are playing at MVP level and Carr has had a very good season. Event Fitz this year started with multiple 300 yard games. Competition is different and we are getting exposed, Even last year, the Houston Texans exposed this defense in the playoffs.
  11. Agreed. Darnold is not going anywhere. While Darnold hasn't played very well, he also has had a coaching staff that hasn't supported him well. The decision to keep Darnold or trade him will be on the next HC of the Jets
  12. Is he better than Addision and Jefferson ? If they are doing a salary purge (and saving 6M) why would they take on Murphy's contract (and pay the remaining 4-5M) Let us give him time to develop. We expect every 1st and 2nd rounder to be super stars from day one
  13. Any trade would work only with release of Murphy or Addision or Jefferson. They are paid close to 9-10M a year. Isn't Williams still on his rookie deal and would need a new deal at the same time as Ed Oliver ?
  14. he will still need a Franchise QB. No coach can win in the NFL without having a Franchise QB
  15. Really like his format. Monday - Victory Monday Tuesday - Twitter Tuesday - Answer questions Wednesday - Preview of Game ahead Thursday - Cross over - Have a discussion with Opposing team writer Friday - Final Thoughts, Injuries, Predictions (not just W/L)
  16. or the Jets were waiting for it. It was a mano-mano situation and we lost
  17. It is a shame Davis played 70 snaps and was not more productive.
  18. and Jackson could move to the slot where Johnson has been brutal.
  19. technically the bills were inside the Redzone only 3 of their 9 drives. The other drives stalled between tbe Jets 40 and 20 yard line
  20. Everything you say was tried by them, but didn't really work. They are missing Brown as the other side deep threat and also missing Knox for his ability to stretch the field vertically. Allen and Daboll were patient yesterday and took what the Jets gave them. They did try to use Allen's legs but came up short. In the final drive, if he gives the ball to Moss instead of the fake, Moss might have even walked in for the TD or at the minimum had the 1st down and the game would have been put away (Jets did not have timeouts). Bass tied Christie 6 FGs. I don't know if Christie attempted 8 FGs in that game
  21. But importantly he made two clutch kicks with the game on the line that made it a 8 point game
  22. > 1 - Bass - Let's start with the man who was 100% of our offense. Josh Allen milked the Jets defense and had over 300 yards passing and 55 yards rushing including key 3rd downs. Gabe Davis needs to give Allen the same level of confidence as John Brown. We missed Brown and Knox ability to go downfield. Bass got the clutch points, but Allen was moving the offense effortlessly. > Kroft - Regardless of when Knox can come back, I believe Kroft needs to remain the primary started at TE As another poster pointed out, Knox stretches the field vertically (even though he drops passes, the threat of going vertical scares defense). We could have used Knox yesterday in Brown's absence. > Having Miilano back - This guy really needs to be locked down . Every time he steps on the field, the defense plays better. He makes very timely plays.
  23. Did you see the shank by Gotkowski in Nashville. Our rookie kicker made a clutch kick to force the Jets to work the full field.
  24. Our OL needs to settle down. We are making too many changes and there is no consistency. We can't run the ball *effectively*. All day long, the Jets did not respect our run game and yesterday
