This is what happens when you have beens spoilt for over two decades. It is hard to accept the mediocrity. We went through this right after the Flutie era.

may be they will drop down to #7 and go to Nashville for their WC! At the end we need to take care of business first....wins against the birds and the Jets in our backyard.

A Few Thoughts about the Cheatriots Game, in no particular order
ganesh replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
> Allen is taking the check downs, forcing the defense to creep up which........OPENED UP THE DEEP CROSSING ROUTES!. Only took 15 games, but we got there. I think Josh played a similar game against the Chiefs earlier in the season. He took what they gave him and punished them. The scores were very similar in both games. If Josh had been patient in the 1st game against NE, we. would have won. The Run defense and Pass Rush are still not there for us to have a championship caliber defense. McDermott and Frasier need to figure this out. > And right now, I don't think there's many teams that would want to face us, home or away. Any team that has the right balance like the Colts, Bucs or Packers will not have problems with us. When each team has weakness on one side of offense (Running or Throwing), Josh will always prevail because he is the best player on the field today in the NFL. -
In your model the Ravens (#7) will play the Titans (#2). I am expecting the Titans to win that game and then host the lowest of remaining seeds which will be the Colts as they would have beaten the #4 seed (Bengals). If above happens then we will play at the Titans while the Colts will go to Arrow head. This would be a dream scenario if it folds like that as we will have a great shot to go to Arrowhead or host the Colts (after we beat the Titans)

Did Josh Allen go rogue on the 4th and 1 run.

It would be a disaster without a HoF RB. It was ok for Kelly to call his own plays because he had a HOF RB who would demand the football and do something with it. For Allen, without a true running game, it would be far easier for him to take it upon himself to play hero ball too often. That will always end in disaster as some of the losses have shown over the last few years. -
Bills 1 seed Scenario - Seems slightly more likely than 0.2%

Reasons why our losses to Titans, Jaguars, Home to Patriots and the Bucs hurt us so much. We had a chance to put away all those games in regulation and missed it. Otherwise we are in the driver seat with a 13-2 record...good 2 games ahead of the Chiefs...the road to the SB would have been through WNY -

Do the Bills have any 2007/2011 Giants playoff run in them?
ganesh replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
They can, if: * Stop the run * Generate a pass rush * Fix their Red zone woes In the 1st match up the Bills were 1 of 4 in TDs in the Red Zone and they lost 14-10 In the return contest, the Bills went 4 of 7 in TDs in the Red Zone and they beat 33-21 They fix their red zone hiccups there is no one to stop this offense. Their red zone offense is self inflicted (irrespective of the quality of defense) -
Agree. Jones can be a very good QB like in the same path as Brady. He is very accurate and if his surrounding cast helps him, he can manage the game efficiently. He sets up the run game perfectly. Over time. I think he can build an NFL arm and take on a bigger role. Things are looking really good for young QBs in the AFC... We have Allen, Burrows, Mahomes, Herbert and Lamar being the shining stars along with. Jones, Tua, Baker, Zach, Lawrence having the opportunity to turn into real good QBs.

Defense: let’s grade and comment your grade
ganesh replied to Italian Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
We simply don't yet have a game changing Pass Rusher !!!! Still have hope for Groot though -
As the Bengals appear to be holding the conference tie-breakers against us (currently they are 3rd seed and we are 4th seed), if we win the AFC East. we are most likely going to get the 2nd place team from the AFC South (1st wild card) - which is likely to be Colts or Titans. Question: Can the Bills win the AFC East and still be able to get the 2nd or 3rd seed...

NBC Boston: Bills are done, Pats make them lick dog *****
ganesh replied to Motorin''s topic in The Stadium Wall
BB is looking for a game manager who is accurate as hell. Jones fits that billing with a 70%+ completion rate. In their scheme, the short passing game is an extension of their running game. Jones will eventually bulk up (like TB did) and start making the intermediate throws successfully.. He will be in NE for a long time. What NE will do next is bring in the weapons. They will be getting their slot WR that they are so desperately missing on this offense.
