flashback 2018 espn draft coverage of Josh pick
ganesh replied to First Round Bust's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just for fun: Here are the post draft threads on TBD after Allen was drafted..... The best quote from Gunner on his initial thread. "I would love to be here in 5 years time with Allen having a huge new contract and me having "I did not believe in Josh Allen" on my signature. I don't think it will happen, but I genuinely hope it does. " -

It is more like Josh making plays that he made in Wyoming -
and we were for a decade 17 years of drought, 17 QBs before we drafted #17 !!!!!!!

flashback 2018 espn draft coverage of Josh pick

Agreed..I had the same feeling on that day when I was watching the live broadcast...It was such a great moment for him to not forget the fan. It meant a lot to him. It was Aikman on the Fox/NFL broadcast. -
538 analysis: Bills underperformed with schedule set up to dominate
ganesh replied to beebe's topic in The Stadium Wall
It is also the same team that gave 3 TDs to Henry, 5 TDs to Taylor, 3 TDs to Henry and a couple of ball-buster TDs to Fournette and a few other nobody RBs... Unless we shut down the run game against good offense, these losses will get magnified. -
Ideal 1st round playoff scenario. What's yours?
ganesh replied to Hermes's topic in The Stadium Wall
Every time the Bills enter a game with a "Underdog" mentality they come out with flying colors (May be not the win, but play an exciting game). I think this brings the Juice in Josh up but at the same time he plays with the right caution. (Pats-2nd-game, Tampa Bay, KC are good examples). Every time the Bills enter a game where they are favored to win, the Bills team gets overconfident and tries too much nonsense and it hits them hard. Sometimes they do win but the performance is seen as very poor (Miami, Atlanta are good examples) I want the Bills to be an Underdog in every game from this point including the Jets... -
I think the Browns have the Best OL Coach in Football and Teller benefited from that.

A Few Thoughts about the Falcons Game, in no particular order
ganesh replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thanks for a decade of writing @Virgil Enjoyed it. As many wrote, you should do what is important for you and your family. Your post allows everyone to have some collective way of discussing the game instead of 10 separate threads. I am sure we can still do the same and someone else may get interested and want to contribute. Go Bills. -
Fresh set of legs for the PLayoffs! Go Bills

Week 17 Gameday Bills vs Falcons Postgame Thread -PLAYOFFS!
ganesh replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
His helmet hit him on the chin...but still too close to the head I think the Ref felt very sorry for the Falcon defender...I mean you never know if Josh is ever going to slide feet first and avoid that contact...All these players have been asked to hit 17 and hit him hard... -
We wouldn't be division winners. There would be 4 9-7 and 1 8-8 (Baltmore) + a. 8-7 (if Steelers win on MNF) vying for 3 Playoff spots. Since Chargers and Raiders play and one will not be 10-7, we would be punching our ticket to the Playoffs.

His first INT was a bad play. He was trying to force the pass and was tipped into the hands of another defender...He instead could have run it and got 5-6 yards out of the play. His second INT was simply a timing route that misfired. Beasley was jammed (very late in the route) and the ball had already left Josh's hands. Can't do much about it. The third INT was also a timing route that did not materialize. Today ti almost felt like Josh was destined have a bad game...The first 2-3 drives had so many drops....Diggs missing that easy TD. Overall a poor game for passing...but the guy was all guts to get hammered on all those runs.

Running against the 28th ranked Run defense (and recognition of that by Daboll) helps
-
The Falcons are NOT good at stopping the run. They are 28th in the league against total yards and given up 19 rushing TDs...(28th). The Bills need to continue to improve running the football. Our stats are masked by Josh Allen's contribution
-
I think at this time he is bigger than Jordan

Does Any Team That Passed on Josh in 2018 Draft NOT Regret It?
ganesh replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think your last line hits the nail on the head. The Bills (even though they started Allen right in the 1st game after half time) have been very patient with his development and reaping the benefit of it now. That adage about letting something develop cannot be more true here. Kudos to McDermott for that. -
If Daboll and/or Frazier leave, who do you want to replace them?

I want to figure out how to get Bill Callahan from the Browns...He is the best OL coach in the league and he will make this OL superb -
The same here...every time I watch that locker room scene, tears keep rolling down my cheeks...Truly in that 2 seconds it washed away all the bad memories of the past 17 seasons...

First lets win the game against the Falcons. Go Bills !

AFC Playoff Picture Week 17 Rooting Interests
ganesh replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
All great...first is take care of business against the Falcons and watch Baltimore lose to the Rams. That gets us into the playoffs. Nothing else matters on Sunday
