QBASE says Josh Allen likely to suck
NastyNateSoldiers replied to stuvian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with what your saying but this also explains why nearly a 3rd of these Gms/ HCs continue to get fired yr in yr out. -
My Realistic Dream Scenarios
NastyNateSoldiers replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just trade with us get Jackson at #22 and difference maker at #12 . Maybe u can ship that #12 plus a 2 & 3 for OBJ. Imagine that as a Browns fan? -
My Realistic Dream Scenarios

Darnold is my top QB. Mayfield #2 I like your ideas too but i think Shaqeum could be a 5th rd pk 4th at best. I think he'll be a Hybrid Safety/Lber for us . Mcd will put him in the Shaq Thompson role. OT at #65 might not be a great move as far as value is concerned. OT very weak this yr in draft i would like to push that need into next offseason via free agency or draft. Maybe a C/G player like Ragnow will be a better fit at #65 but if 1 of the TEs are still there we should pk on of them. Goedart, Andrews or Geiski. -
My Realistic Dream Scenarios
NastyNateSoldiers replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We give up 2 2s one this yr and next. The Bucs still get a very good player at #12 and add some draft pks . In this scenario none of the top 3 positional players were available. Browns - Darnold Giants - Chubb Jets- Rosen Browns Barkley Broncos Allen Colts Nelson -
My Realistic Dream Scenarios

My way of saying i want to keep it real. Instead of hoping something unlikely that will happen. -
Bills trade up with Tampa give up a 2nd #53 & a 2 next yr . 1st -#7 Baker Mayfield 1st- #22 Leighton Vander Esch 2nd - #55 James Washington 3rd - #65 Mike Gieski 3rd- #96 Daruis Leonard 4th - # 121 Dante Pettis 5th - #166 Shaqeum Griffen 6th rd - Best RB available either Royce Freeman, Bo Scarborough or Mark Whalton This would absolutely be a home run draft in my opinion. We get 2 building blocks in first rd with 2 high energy guys . Mayfield & LVE will be leaders on this team for yrs to come these guys both play with chip on there shoulders and fit the culture that McBeane are trying to instill. With the rest of the draft we fill some major holes with some good prospects . In my opinion all these guys will end up starting in the NFL. There was 2 spots that i wouldn't mind to interchange first at #22 Maybe Hurst instead of LVE and at #96 Josey Jowell instead of Daruis Leonard . If we went Hurst at #22 i would hope to get both Jowell & Darius at #96 & #121. Scenario #2 #7 Mayfield #22 Hurst #55 James Washington #65 Mike Gieski 96 Dareus Leonard 121 Josey Jewell 166 Shaqeum Griffen 6th Rd - Bo Scarborough

My Mock (NO TRADES)
NastyNateSoldiers replied to QuoteTheRaven83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Man if this happens i would just be supremely happy. Mayfield & James in the first that's a A+++ start to the draft. 2nd rd i get #53 -James Washington and #55- Harrison Phillips. 3rd Rd #65- Mike Gisecki & #96-Daruis Leonard 4th Rd #121- Dante Pettis 5th rd # 166- Shaquiem Griffen 6th Rd - take best RB available either Royce Freeman, Bo Scarborough or Mark Walton. My bad i just realized we didn't take Derwin James we took Chark instead . Now i don't like it. Lol -
So u wanna trade the house for a project ? He fits passes into tight windows sometimes while other times he throws them 10yds over the players head. This is how i see it u can have all the tools in your shed but that doesn't make u a mechanic. U can have all the ingredients u need to cook something but that doesn't make u a chef. In this case Allen has the physical tools but lacks bigtime in the mental areas of the gm . It can not be overstated how important the internal clock is in a QBs mind. He just doesn't have it and this will be his downfall. If the Bills are looking for tools to develop we can get a guy for free his name is Colin Kapernick. Matter of fact at least Kap has some great success on the NFL level. Kap has some of the same physical gifts that Allen has even his arm is comparable in pure strength. They both have the same deficiencies as a passers. Touch, Accuracy, Timing, Anticipation are both issues for these 2 players. Might as well sign Kap and develop him instead of paying the house for the same type of guy.

Exactly i said he's Cardele but without the accolades.

The Wunderlich test for quarterbacks
NastyNateSoldiers replied to bills in oregon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everyone talks about how Josh Rosen is so intelligent i wonder what he scored? -
I haven't watched all his gms but I'm not impressed with what I've seen. He doesn't deserve to be a 1st rd pk in my opinion. I pray everyday we don't trade up for this guy it would be monumental mistake.
-
Its definitely true i watched enough. Allen plays like he's in some school yard playing with his buddies. He's always leaving the pocket way to early and u can tell the play is not called for a roll-out. He has no anticipation whatsoever waiting for Wrs to come open before passing the ball way to often. And the accuracy well u don't have to spend more then 5mins watching film to see that he's not accurate . Allen is the white Cardele Jones but without the accolades.

Allen averaged a putrid 4.4 ypa vs power 5 teams. He has NO consistent Anticipation Accuracy Awareness Timing Most importantly these problems stem from the internal clock in his head that's borderline unteachable on any level. The mental part of the gm is the most important factor in playing QB at a high level. He just doesn't have it. He's a project QB at best and because of his arm strength should go starting in the 3rd rd. But obviously there's coaches and GMs that think they can fix em and they will reach high and take him early in the 1st. Whomever that team is there front office will not last long Allen will cost them there jobs.

Actually the only draft gurus that like Allen are the mainstream guys like Kiper, Mayock and Bucky but not much after that. Actually the only draft gurus that like Allen are the mainstream guys like Kiper, Mayock and Bucky but not much after that.

How come its never Rosen?
NastyNateSoldiers replied to Skins Malone's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mayfield is the best but his measurables are not prototype. Rosen & Mayfield are the most accurate pure passers of the bunch the difference is Mayfield handles pressure much better then Rosen . Mayfield doesn't lose accuracy while being rushed that's a really good sign of future success on the NFL level . Not only that but Mayfield is very accurate on both sides of the field on roll outs . If he was 6,3 he would no doubt be the #1 pk overall. Darnold has incredible vision and accuracy he also reads threw his progressions like he's slicing threw butter its very natural to him. He has great upside even more then Rosen or Mayfield that's why i believe he's going #1 overall. Rosen threws the prettiest pass and his mechanics are top notch he also has great anticipation and accuracy the thing bout him is the character questions whether he can lead a team and his inability to handle the rush he gets antsy and starts making poor decisions . He also has the concussions history and the nerve problem in his shoulder his longevity is in heavy question. I don't know why people are quick to crown Rosen as the best prospect at QB. He's definitely in the debate that's for sure. But he has issues just like the rest of these prospects i just think its a matter of preference in what a team is looking for as far as scheme fit and leadership ability. I no doubt believe the top 3 QBs in this draft are Darnold, Mayfield & Rosen and it still can go either way on draft day. -

I think the Allen talk is all agent driven and plenty smoke by teams. If not these guys really don't deserve there jobs. The guy has 1st rd talent but plays like a 6th rder. Its tools season and he has them but i feel sorry for the fan base of the team that takes this kid in top 10. -
Making the case for Lamar Jackson
NastyNateSoldiers replied to 502Buffs's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think u misunderstood me. Basically saying anyone can look good in highlights on youtube. Believe me buddy I'm 39yrs old I've been watching football for over 30yrs. I've had Sunday ticket since it came out in 1994. I got 4tvs going on Sundays for nearly 10yrs. I watch plenty of football . Look man u answered my question would u take him as a passer in first rd. U said no. Why should we settle for less at the QB position. Just say it u don't want a QB u want a GB ( GimmickBack ) cause that's what Lamar is. -
Favorite Trade Scenario to get a QB

I voted top 10 in hopes of trading for Mayfield. We get the best for less . -

I'm not just basing my opinion on a youtube highlights film. U ever seen Ej Manuel on youtube he looks pretty good. I actually watch full gms on draftbreakdown. At the end of the day its all about preference i just want the QB that's best at finding open wrs consistently. Sounds simple right? In my opinion that's Mayfield. Not the rocket arm Allen or the if i didn't have my legs i won't be a first rd pk Jackson. -

Petrino system is similar to what the Bills will run but there's different variations of the Perkins Erhardt system. Lamar is just not accurate enough for the NFL. I don't care what his adjusted comp percentage is. He's not a natural passer . Btw Baker is incredibly accurate in and out of the pocket and I'm not basing it on stats. He passes the eye test. The ball comes out clean from his hands . Yes he's not tall but his release pt makes up for that as well as ability to throw threw lanes just like Brees and Russ. -

U can nitpick the stats all u like he still has major deficiencies as a passer. This is just my opinion and your definitely entitled to yours . Lamar will need a Taylor ( no pun intended) made offense to succeed on the next level. U can't just put this guy into a timing based offense and expect him to succeed. I guess it comes down to preference. I would like a strict pocket passer that sometimes can make a play outside the offensive play design. Other then Darnold i would love Mayfield he's very accurate and can make plays on the run from both sides of the field not only that but something people don't talk about much here is he gets better when pressured either via blitz or just from the natural rush. These are key elements to succeeding on the next level. Baker is the man and i hope he slips threw the cracks and we can draft him in the 6-10 range. -

NastyNateSoldiers replied to 502Buffs's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Its not lazy i see him #1 hold the ball to long way to much #2 doesn't lead wrs consistently which leads to less yac opportunity for wrs. #3 He's a Area Code Passer Makes Wrs work to hard because bad ball placement. These are all major issues in Tyrod and Lamar gms. Ask yourself this question strictly as a passer is Lamar worth the 12th overall pk? -

Also he looks unnatural in the pocket his mechanics are like a high school QB. Doesn't take chances against safeties in the seem. He's an area code thrower makes his Wrs work very hard . Doesn't lead wrs open consistently . He's not Tyrod but he has alot of the same problems throwing the ball. Forget about Yac again for another 3yrs with this guy.
