Is Singletary good enough?
NastyNateSoldiers replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
Singletary is borderline average just a JAG the Bills should be striving for more then that. Most great QBs weren’t able to get over the hump without a great running back . Peyton , Brady , Elway , Kelly , Favre all had pro bowl backs. A top 10 back would do wonders for this team and can easily be the difference in a big playoff game where a couple of inches can be the difference between a win and a loss. -
This was the year, and the coaches blew it
NastyNateSoldiers replied to Rampage's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree we can’t keep running Josh like this he won’t last. We need a back that can carry the load and Singletary is not the answer. I would love to see the Bills take a chance on Rashard Penny this kid absolutely took over at the end of the season and finished the season with a whooping 6.3 yds a carry and that’s including he was averaging under 4yds for nearly most of the season until he got fully healed then he took off like a rocket. This kid can be that difference for us in the back field and he would dominate in this offense. Beane get this monster to Buffalo and our offense will be unstoppable. -
It shouldn’t be a pipe dream if this team truly wants to get to another level. Frazier has had his opportunity vs KC and has basically no answers for them or for any other elite offense for that matter. Vic Fangio has shown an ability to get the best out of less and take talented players and make them all pro. He’s a talent developer and would be a great fit in this organization.

Mic'd up: Kelce outsmarted McDermott/Frazier

I don’t know if I should laugh or cry about this. Maybe some of our players should of done some freestyle of there own and disregarded the whole play call by McDermott and Frazier -

Nobody was covering 1 guy everyone was protecting from a TD it’s obvious. McD choose to defend the end zone which was like a 1% chance to score from 75yds with 13 secs left in the game. -

Anyone notice Addison being a QB Spy with 13 secs in the game? This is getting worse by the day. Easy way to cover that. 2 man front 9 in coverage just like Parcells and Belicheck did to us in Super Bowl 25. -

This is unforgivable. -
Bye bye Frazier don’t let the door hit u on your way out bud. Go get me Fangio or Zimmer . Preferably Fangio because he’s not getting another head coaching job and he knows how to slow down the Chiefs.

Seems like every time we play a good team they exploit him just to name a few Indy, Pats first game, Titans , Chiefs Bucs. Nearly every time we lost he was attacked by the opposition
-
I’ve been saying this all day. We need to trade for Mack and sign Akeim Hicks from the Bears. Both of these guys can break a game open defensively at any moment. I would love to fire Frazier and hire Fangio as well . He knows how to use these guys especially Mack he had his MVP season with Fangio. The Bills need to shake things up and this would be a great way to do it. Post of the year man! Excellent points and I would like to add to it. Edmunds is horrible… We need a real lber to run this D.

McKenzie playing scout team Tyreek Hill
NastyNateSoldiers replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
He’s a difference maker for us he makes our offense borderline unstoppable. All that pre snap movement he does puts the opposing defense in a bind forces them to pause for just a extra split second at the snap which makes a huge difference. -
I’m one of those people. We just got to keep balance going against there defense. Using McKenzie the way we did last week puts a defense in a bind all that pre snap movement McK does forces the defense to cover the whole field and it makes the defense pause for just a split second which makes a huge difference.

Maybe we’ll get one for Wallace but for the rest I don’t see it.

Rashaad Penny would fit nicely with the Bills’ offense.
NastyNateSoldiers replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall
The issue is both the Oline and the running backs . Singletary and Moss don’t have enough speed to threaten the outside consistently which makes it much easier for opponents to game plan for them because everything basically gets funneled to inside runs. That’s a big problem and it might hinder the Oline ability to block based on that alone. I believe we need 2 new starters at guards along with making Bates are new starting center. The identity of this team is always going to be past first but we need to revamp the backfield and the guards so that we can have a better more efficient running game. -

I’d take Patterson as multi threat as you indicated but that shouldn’t stop us from bringing in a better prototype back like Penny. I realize he’s been hurt for the better part of his career but it seems like he’s gotten past those injuries and because of those injuries he’s going to get basically a 1yr prove it deal . With that being said he would probably love a chance to play on this offense and on top of that the Bills have an elite strength and conditioning program to help Penny stay healthy. Penny is an elite running back when healthy he’s a big time upgrade over Singletary and Moss. Yes he’s not the best pass catcher from his position but he can catch and if we signed Patterson with him that would be a great combo to have. I think we can afford to sign both and they won’t cost a ton of money especially Penny. He’s got to prove a full year of health before any team gives him multi yr deal. -

Patterson is not a prototype back mof since they moved him to full time starter during middle of the season he’s been pretty average. I’d much rather roll the dice on Penny he’s younger and seems to have gotten past the injury bug -

I agree and I think his talents would be on full display with Allen beside him . He can be an absolute steal for us. I don’t think Penny would cost much to sign he’s unproven and injury prone. I believe he’ll sign a 1yr prove it deal and a team like The Bills would be the type of team he would love to play with -
